Room needs upgrade. Towels were very old and not as white as they should have been. Mattress was not comfortable.

Outstanding Hotel", Great room for the money

After a long trip from Asia Pacific, Sheraton Gateway at LAX is a good place to decompress and try to get back on a North American time zone. Shula's is top notch; bar is always lively. Pool is open later than most. Starbucks is a good feature while waiting for airport shuttle back over to the terminal.

the only negative comment would be the quality of the bathrooms. They needed to be updated and were a little run down.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. I was attending a conference at the hotel and my room upstairs was comfortable and the conference room was very nice. I enjoyed the pool also. I would recommend staying here.

overprised

The room was great, the lobby was nice and neat. I didnt spend much time in the hotel but I actually wish I got to enjoy the room longer. The only advice I would give you is when you are leaving the hotel make sure you know where you are going cause a couple of turns you will be in the wrong neighborhood.

The Sheraton LAX is highly recommended. The hotel is affordable, clean, and classy. We could not have asked for a better stay. LAX is very convenient to the towns along the coast adjacent to the airport.

Hotel was really a decent 'did the job' airport hotel. Liked having a starbucks and also appreciated the hotel bar/restaurant which we used a couple of times. Hotel pool looked nice, decent size with modern poolside furniture but we didn't use as it was windy out.

The location is great. I think this hotel is a great value. It is well-maintained and there is always a lot of activity.

Parking was my issue! Had I known that the hotel doesn't have their own parking, and that I was going to have to pay for parking EVERYDAY across the street and not have it validated, even though I have a room in the hotel, I would have booked somewhere else. We also had a misunderstanding about alcoholic beverages being brought out to the pool area which happens to be next to the bar. It was expressed that GLASS containers are not ok, however another guest at the hotel sat out by the pool with a bottle of beer without being harassed. Thankfully the security guard that was unnecessarily called by the woman at the bar/lounge area was very polite and understanding.

Convenient for airport, good food, quiet and very nicely appointed. Excellent close to airport stay.

This hotel gets top marks in all categories as far as I'm concerned. It's perfectly located. Convenient for in/out of LAX and surrounding areas.

I found this hotel to be very clean, comfortable, and convenient. My only complaint (and very minor) is that it is very close to the airport. You can hear the jets flying in. If you could sleep through the end of the world, like myself, then you should have no problems. Light sleepers might take caution. Otherwise, everything was great!

great location to airport....shuttle ran every 15 minutes....Staff was amazing and friendly....

This was my first time staying at the hotel and from the looks of the website I was already impressed. When I arrived to the hotel valet was prompt and very helpful. Check in was fast and couteous! The lobby is SO chic, the pool is AMAZING and the bar is excellent. I must say the bed was the best part! I will be staying here everytime I come to LA.

Hotel is nice enough and very close to the airport, but there is no hotel parking available (only valet parking or airport lots). They also tried to charge a "pet fee" of $50 per night, which not not mentioned anywhere on the website nor in the internet booking procedure.

Sheraton has an excellent reputation as one of the great hotels, but their amenities are expensive. You may want to dine out rather than eat in the hotel. A simple sandwich and Coke sent to the room cost $50.00. Parking is also expensive.

Hotel is located few miles from the airport , which was great, however if you are travelling with children beware that there is no fridge in any room and if asked, the receptionist will direct you to a fine print in the room rental agreement or the website stating that there is no fridge in the room. The courtesy of the front desk staff ( at least a few of them) needs improvement

Clean and close to LAX. TV channel selection from LodgeNet service sucks and their remote control is marginal. Shuttle service stops at other hotels so you waste time picking up and dropping off guests from other hotels.

I was able to get a great rate about 24 hours before I was arriving. It fit my needs perfectly. The only concern I had was the shuttle from the LAX to the hotel was late. I was told the shuttles run every 15 to 20 minutes, but I waited almost 30 minutes.

You can't use Internet Access, also Business Center Internet.

Clean, upscale, well priced, room decor was up to date.

We made an excellent selection on this hotel last minute. Not knowing just how close it really was to the airport, turned out to be terrific. At first we parked on the street behind the hotel to check-in because we did not want to deal with the required valet service. We were kindly escorted by the safety officer through the hotel, where he took us directly to our room. Very accomodating! Room was clean, excellent view of valley and incoming planes. Quiet, considering its locale. Room service screwed up out ice cream order, but waiter was outstanding, professional.
