We booked a junior suite and had a wonderful room with a pull out sofa bed for our child, and a nice view of High Street Kensington through the large windows by the workstation. The bathroom was huge. The hotel room looks recently refurnished so everything in great shape. Hotel is a few minutes walk from the metro station, bus stop in front of hotel, covered car park under hotel, and Hyde park is right next door. Definitely the best hotel I have stayed in London at this price.

As approached the hotel from the tube station I thought it looked like a retread hotel from the sixties. But inside it is like it opened yesterday. The room, although small, was immaculate and very all of the technology was state of the art. I will stay here again and again whenever I am in London.

For the price I thought this was a great value. The room was a bit small but had everything I needed and was very comfortable and very clean--I actually took a bath, which I never do in hotels! The service was great and the concierges were truly helpful. I would not consider this quite as posh as most 5 star hotels, but considering the price (far less than most 5 star hotels) it was more than worth it!!

I knew we were in a great hotel when we walked up to the registration desk and saw Russian President Medvedev and his entourage walk by. He was a guest of the Hotel attending the G-20 Meetings. Nothing about the Hotel disappoints. Our room, overlooking Kensington Park, was quiet and relatively large. It had a stepped up seating area for better Park viewing. The king bed was very comfortable, espically for London. Breakfast at the hotel, although pricey, was fit for a Queen. The staff is excellent with a couple of our personel requests being attended to immediately. There might be a better Hotel in London, but the location, on the Park and the High Street, with all its stores and restaurants, make this Hotel the very top of my list. Thank you Hotels.com

Upon our arrival at the Hotel we were promptly and politely checked in. The counter staff were very friendly and courteous, including helping us to our room. The room was clean and smelled fresh, the bed being a queen size, dominated the room but there was a comfortable sofa and a couple of chairs for relaxing in. The location was very convenient for the Royal Albert Hall which was our destination. There was plenty of amenities around for the inexperienced London visitor, the Hyde Park was right behind the Hotel and just right for a walk after the superb breakfast. Overall a lovely experience.

The staff was exceptional. They had lots of great ideas for me and my daughter. They all made her feel very special (she's 4). The hotel sits right on Kensington Gardens, walking distance to the palace and Princess Di's play ground. So sweet! Short taxi ride to Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace and Harrods. Great restaurants within walking distance as well. Can't wait to return.

We stayed here overnight as we needed to be close to the Roal Albert Hall and it was really great. We were able to check in at 11am and we had a superior double room that was warm, clean and very comfortable. the only missing was the lack of a hospitality tray in the room as coffee first thing in the mornign would have been great. Can't really fault it. The breakfast, whilst not the cheapest we have ever had, was amazing with so much cjoice and such great quality. Bit of a shame that the service at breakfast was a bit lacking...toast with no butter so had to chase round for it and no offer of more coffee but they were very busy.

I booked a superior double room in a 5* hotel but was given a twin room (apparently this was OK as it was said it could happen in small print .... I would have preferred to see this in LARGE print) and what's more there was no kettle, no tea, no cups in the room. This for a 5* hotel was very disappointing.

This is an excellent valus five star hotel. The staff could not do enough for us and made our wedding anniversary extra special. Would definitely return and are just sad we couldn't extend our stay. Despite a 12:30am evacuation due to a false fire alarm, I would highly recommend this hotel. Building and rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff was courteous and helpful. Small delay in having luggage brought up to room, but the location of this hotel is terrific. Room faced on to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace and was very quiet. Lots of public transit and grocery store options nearby.

This hotel was excellent in every respect except one: the price of the in-room internet connection was exhorbitant! It was the highest price I have ever paid anywhere in the world. It was broaband and quite fast, although I have had much faster connections elsewhere, but it required a cable, limiting where one could work in the room, and the price for a solid hour's work was 20 GBP. In fairness, this is the maximum one would ever pay in a 24 hour period, but quite expensive if one had only an hour in which to work on the internet. In general, service at the hotel was impeccable, as was the quality, presentation and flavor of meals. Location was also excellent, just adjacent to Kensington Gardens.

This was a great hotel! My room was small and not renovated, but it was still pretty nice. I had a GREAT view of the city from the 8th floor. This is an excellent location - a few hundred feet from the High Kensington tube station. Lots of good restaurants and shops all within a very short walking distance. I highly recommend "The Giraffe" for breakfast or lunch. I ate there all 3 mornings for breakfast and for lunch on the first day. The food is very fresh and good. The hotel staff were very helpful. The only blip in the service was that it took a very long time for my luggage to get to my room, when it was supposedly (on it's way). But, they were very cordial and it didn't cost me too much time. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. It's about the same price as other hotels in the area but the quality is much better. Great value!

The hotel is at the end of Kensington Gardens, and some of the rooms actually overlook Kensington Palace and the Park. The room was very comfortable, and had access to high-speed internet, which is great. They had an entertainment system in the room where you could play your own DVDs, or purchase movies. The neighborhood has cafes and a pub across the street, as well as a currency exchange that was open late. There are also a couple convenience stores/souvenir shops there, too. Just up the street is a grocery store, shopping, and more restaurants. Wonderful location.

Now hooked on the Royal Garden after 20 years of trying different London hotels. I had the most comfortable bed EVER, nice bathroom with plenty of hot water and a powerful shower, beautiful view of Kensington Gardens, the staff (considering how big this hotel is) were friendly and helpful too. Room service was reasonably priced for a change, and restaurant service was great too.

For those accustomed to 4 or 5 star travel in the US, this place won't disappoint. Rooms are contemporary and spacious, with great views of Kensington Gardens, easy walks to shopping and restaurants (including Notting Hill). A little far from London attractions (i.e. West End Theatres), so probably worth a 2-3 nights at best.

The hotel was great -- it's in a quieter area of London, the rather posh Kensington, but there was still a lot to do nearby (shops, places to eat, etc) and the tube was a block away so we could go anywhere very easily (it's located near the circle and district lines, and one stop away from Notting Hill Gate Central line). Also, the staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Service was consistent and very good.
