Zephyr On The Charles – Von den großen Fenstern des Restaurants können Gäste den ganzen Tag über einen wundervollen Blick auf den Charles River genießen. Noch reizvoller wird der Blick abends, wenn Bostons Skyline erleuchtet ist. Serviert wird eine Vielzahl an verschiedenen Steaks, Hühnchen- und Fischgerichten. Zum Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen geöffnet. Freitagabend wird ein Buffet mit Meeresfrüchten und Fisch geboten. Sonntags Brunch und Cocktails mit Klaviermusik. Der 23 Meter lange Pool des Hotels befindet sich in einem verglasten Gebäude. Er ist mit Wettkampfleinen und einem ausfahrbaren Glasdach sowie einer Sonnenterrasse mit Blick auf die Skyline von Boston und den Charles River ausgestattet. Im angrenzenden Fitnessraum können Gäste die zahlreichen Kraft- und Ausdauergeräte mit Satellitenfernsehen nutzen. Das Zimmer hatte einen schönen Blick auf den Fluss und Bett und Einrichtung waren sehr gut. Aber man hat gemerkt, dass das Hotel schon länger nicht renoviert wurde. Katastrophal war das Frühstück. Es gab zu wenig kapazität, so dass man 30 Minuten Schlange stehen musste, bis man an das Buffet konnte.

Tolle Architektur, aber veraltet. Parken unangemessen teuer (35 Dollar/Nacht). Frühstücksbuffet eher mager. Liegt mitten im Studentenviertel von Cambridge, aber eher ruhig.

The Hyatt Regency Cambridge has a nice layout, and the river-view rooms are quite pleasant. However, it's way past time for Hyatt to give this place an "Extreme Makeover". We were put into three different rooms, because the first two smelled of mildew. The carpeting and paint colors are very 70s-80s and are in need of freshening and brightening. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant staff was particularly attentive, and the food was very good.

Room was above dumpsters and the constant truck noise was annoying. The room overall was fine. The location of the room was terrible. We had to walk through the breakfast buffet to get to the room. The breakfast buffet was very overpriced as was the parking ($35 per day). The room had a balcony with sliding glass door, however the smell of the dumpsters, along with the smell of the kitchen grease and the lack of furniture on the balcony made it completely useless.

Sure I got this room on hotels.com for cheap but overall I was not to impressed. The hotel itself is nice and well decorated; the room, on the other hand was a big disappointment. The carpet was stained in many spots (yuck) and the distribution of the room is strange. Instead of maximizing space there's a separator in a not too large room. There was no small fridge (which sucked b/c I was carrying cheese that we had to keep on ice and constantly refresh). There was a tv on a small stand facing off into nowhere: we had to move the stand to watch tv from the bed. There were nice large windows with a view of nothing (I guess that was part of getting the room for cheap. ) though some rooms must have a beautiful view of the river. There was only one chair in the room so when I sat down my wife had to take the bed. Speaking of the bed, we both found it to be comfortable. I wasn't thrilled by the fact that despite our paying for the room the hotel wanted to charge us $35/day for self-parking in their garage. I EASILY found parking on a street around the bend.

I have stayed here before and would return again. Staying in Cambridge keeps you close to the action(within walking distance) but removes you from downtown hustle and bustle.

I was surprised by some of the changes that had occurred in terms of what had been previously a top notch hotel. Parking cost an excessive $35./day. The shuttle service to Harvard Square ceased at an early 6 PM that made it unavailable for dinner reservations in the Square. It was necessary to take a cab costing $9-11. There was no pick-up service returning from Harvard Square again requiring a cab. When we checked in and paid an extra charge for a river view room, we found the room poorly equipped with only one chair for reading and without a floor lamp that wouod permit use as a reading chair. Access to internet was charged extra and was very inconvenient requiring very complicated access via Guatemala.

be careful when you order at the restaurat.not all ingredients are listed on the menu. Bad cook,we always had problem with the food,mostly overcooked."need improvment"on housekeeping and roome amenities.if you need a frig.they bring one to your room at no charge,but rooms don't come with one.well,how many poeple know you can ask for one.we didn't know. if you are going to park in the hotel garage you have to pay for it.very expensive.

fair on most counts-room service very overpriced and food quality weak; bathroom outdated, broken light; carpets stained; paid a modest price, and got modest accommodations. did like the mattress and bedding quality.

The hotel in general was very nice. Helpful and polite service from all. I did not like having just the one restaurant and felt it was very over priced! Need more dining options and perhaps some daily specials that a family can afford! Loved the bed! Very comfortable.

We were very happy with the stay. Unfortunately we could only stay one night but we throughly enjoyed the view and the comfort of the room. The hotel is beautiful and the location worked wonderfuly for us. We took a taxi there but it was a long walk back from the resturant. It was a lovely walk through beautiful neighborhoods and only took us 20 min or less. I would recommend it for the price we got

Fitness center very good for a hotel lots of cardio machines- weight room standard. Not very elaborate, locker room nice and clean, sauna, steam room.Great location near fenway park, BU, MIT,Mass general hospital. Elevators need some work very slow and not working correctly at least one was always having difficulty. Double beds instead of queens- small.

We have stayed at this Hotel in the past. We went back and were disappointed. I had to request another room due to the conditions found. Paint was peeling off the ceiling with unsuccessful tries to cover the problem. The carpet was stained and a strong odor of room deoderizer was detected. The hotel of course moved my family to an upgraded room, but I was disappointed. This Hotel does not have enough options for eating ei breakfast, coffee. The price is high especially for a family. Needs other and more afforddable options for families.

Hotel was excellent. Very friendly staff, great accomodations, very good value. Beautiful indoor pool and exercise room. The only two negatives: $35/day to park your car in their garage was exorbitant. Wish they had a complimentary continental breakfast; their restaurant was way over-priced (so we did not eat there).

The Hyatt Regency Cambridge was a nice hotel but it needs some updating. From the look of it in pictures online it seemed like a very modern and "fancy" hotel. When we arrived, we realized that we had gotten the wrong impression, although, we still enjoyed our stay. Our room was nice but the air conditioning leaked the entire length of our stay, so we had a HUGE wet spot on the floor that continued to grow. When we notified the hotel and house keeping staff nothing was done about the leak. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After exploring Boston during our stay, I realized that the Hyatt Regency Cambridge is not a very convinient location for those wishing to walk and see the sites of Boston. We will definitely stay closer to the downtown/Copleyt Square area on our next visit. Other than a few minor issues, all in all we had a nice stay.

Booked this hotel because after searching for place to stay for 2 Red Sox Games, looked like a great deal. However very misleading in vicinity to Ball Park, Unless an athlete, have to take a cab to the ball park. Was very disappointed in this. Also shuttle service only 1 way-so spend a lot of time and money getting anywhere. No close restaurants to this hotel. Food in Hotel overpriced and not so great.

The location of the hotel was great. However we stayed during the hottest day of summer in Boston. The room never got cool. Hyatt set an engineer to our room and they didn't fix the problem.

upon check-in the staff member checking me told me I didn't pay for the balcony room rate and asked me to prove it. Then after I told her they were supposed to be side by side rooms she was very rude and put us in rooms across the hall. I went back down and asked for it to be changed and she was very rude once again. Then once we got to our rooms they never took our breakfast order off the door and we had to re-order and be late for our event. Also the AC didn't work and the room was blazing hot.

It wasn't a bad hotel but not up to what I would expect from a Hyatt. A little run down and the location was hard. Nothing within easy walking distance. A nice view of Boston and the Charles River and overall was impressed with the food, especially the breakfast buffet.

The room reservation was for 2 adults and a teenage daughter - yet - there was only one packet of coffee, only 2 sets of towels and only one trash can. We expected better from a Hyatt. As to the room rate - it was not mentioned that there is a $35 parking fee. Had we known this, we would certainly have chosen a different hotel.

Ordinarily an expensive hotel, remember if you get a deal you still have to pay $35 to park overnight and the food is very pricey. We ended up going into Cambridge to eat. My son loved the elevators. The view of Boston is beautiful.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is atypical in internal layout, making it fun to stay in; the fitness center was impressive also. I just wish it was easier to get to the subway from here. It is walking distance, but not convenient. The customer service was excellent in all departments.
