Sheraton Gateway Suites Chicago O'Hare - Rosemont

Great hotel but the pool was closed whic was the biggest factor in choosing this hotel. kids were heartbroken.

I can't rave enough about this hotel!! It was warm, inviting, and extremely comfortable. And although located next to one of the busiest airports in the country, it was the first time I've slept through the night in over 3 years.

Room smelled of cigarette smoke - probably rug and curtains -- the bed linen was very clean, fresh and had no cigarette smell. Bathroom ceiling had mold on it.

This is the third time I have used this hotel at this location. This time I was disappointed with the service and the condition of the hotel. The pool and hot tub were out of order, and our room was very dusty and it looked as if no one had cleaned it for a while. In the past, the front desk people were very friendly and helpful to us, but this time they acted like they were too busy to help with our questions. I was very disappointed, because I came back to this hotel because of the good service in the past.

It was nice but the parking its too expensive.

We are senior citizens traveling to visit our adult children very often. We are none smokers. We are often assigned a room with king bed, in this case a suit. The room is less used, although there is a sign posted strictly no smoking; we can smell the air is full of old smoke; maybe airflowed from other area; since it is a less used room, the air is stagnant. If the management can get the room, air it out or even spray it before the guest arrival...it would be a perfect thing.

I was stranded in Chicago due to weather and stayed one night at the Sheraton Gateway Suites. I was greeted warmly and had an absolutely lovely room. The courtesty van to O'Hare is a great service. When I accidently left my toiletry bag in the room when I left, they sent it promptly and efficiently. Best hotel stay in a long time!

We had a great stay at the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and other guests were good too. The only drawback is the hidden costs that are not openly advertised. $18/day for parking. The hotel allows airport traffic to park for $15, but overnight guests have an extra $3. My wife told me that it was the nicest hotel she has ever stayed at. I would definately recommend this, but keep in mind the parking costs associated.

Great hotel for the price. I was visiting friends that lived close by so the location was perfect for me. Right next to the airport but inside you couldn't here the planes so that was nice. The only thing I wish was explained to me a little better is your parking ticket. When you go to park get your ticket and go inside and they will activate your ticket so you don't pay everytime you come and go like I did lol. You are automatically charged for the amount of days you stayed at the end of your visit so just remember that and it makes parking alot cheaper. Other than that I have no real complaints about the hotel and they are even reimbursing me for all of my extra parking costs. Hope this helps and enjoy your stay

The WI-FI cost about 20 dollars for 30 MINUTES of it. There is a charge of 18.00 per day to park there, even for guests who are staying the night. The Continental Breakfast costs 16.00 dollars....for a bowl of Rice Crispies. None of this is even hinted at by either Hotels.com or The Sheraton website. They charged me 50.00 dollars for something that was unspecified on my card, which I am of course having charged back through my cc company. Dont bother with this one.

Spacious rooms but an otherwise average hotel save the fact that it has a dubious option for free parking which is now a rarity in the O'hare area. This hotel trys to hide the fact that is has an arrangement for free parking at a nearby garage (within the office complex where it is located.) The hotel's adjacent lot parking is $18 a day!. We had to confront a desk clerk with their website printout that quietly mentions this fact before they would give us the details. If all else fails, I would park in the nearby Airport long term lot (which is half the price.)

Very clean, nice hotel. Suite was wonderful for traveling with two teenagers. Not happy paying for parking since hotel is not in the city. Just a regular hotel parking lot with a gate; sneaky way to get a few extra bucks but I think that's common in the area.

Good price for a suite: living room with separate bedroom with 2 double beds. Close to nice restaurants. Employees in the hotel were friendly and helpful. Maintenance and condition of the room could be better. In our room the bathroom door knob was loose, and there was a hole in the wall. Although they knew there would be 3 guests, linens and towels for only 2 were there. The driver of the shuttle in the morning was NOT very service oriented. He complained to our faces when we gave him our bags out of the sequence that he wanted it. And he was grumpy. He should be fired. I'm sure other looking for a job can drive a van while being friendly.

The interior was great, was made to calm even the busiest traveller... Fantastic hotel and great service from all the staff. The shutle service was great too.

This hotel has seen better days. The rugs were very worn, the sofa had stains, and the air conditioner rattled so bad I turned it off. In addition, there are two Sheratons adjacent to O'Hare airport and they both have shuttle services to and from the terminals. I got off an international flight slightly jet lagged, and got on the wrong shuttle. They would not take me to the right hotel, which is only about 8 mins away, and I had to pay $15 for a taxi to get to the correct hotel.

This was a GREAT hotel, great service, great room, bed is extremely comfortable. No complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend this hotel!

After a long difficult time trying to get back to the United States from visiting another country, this was exactly what my husband and I needed. The room was wonderful and the bed was so comfortable.

Beds were very comfortable. Good location for the Rosemont convention center, however not within walking distance. In hotel restaurant & room service is convenient.

As a four star hotel, I did anticipate clean and well appointed. However, on arrival was surprised by the genuine concern about my preferences and needs, and the care taken to assign a room I would truly like!! The room was lovely, with floor to ceiling windows, nicely draped and with full black out linings, as well. The king bed had beautiful quality linens, complete with enough pillows to please the Queen! Two LG TVs, one in the sitting/office room and one in the bedroom, excellent bathroom with all needs, also. CLEAN throughout. Could use some updating of the sitting room furniture. As for the hotel decor . . . yikes!! All was wonderfully presented, even though the carpets & colours looked like the interior designer consumed bad eggs for breakfast. The restaurant was appealing, as well as the bar. Business area provides free Wi-Fi, though they charge in the room for it. In all, an excellent hotel, with top service, friendly staff, including the reasonably priced gift shop . . . and if anyone needs cheap hamburgers, go to McDs next door! No one expects cheap food in a four star hotel, eh? !!

very convenient to the airport w/ quick shuttle service. very nice & helpful staff. awesome room for the price. starbucks coffee in the room & big screen tv. couldn't have asked for better.

Hotel is nice, large rooms. They charge for wireless internet usage in your room. I wanted a quick light dinner so went to the restaurant. Service at the restaurant was very bad - I had to wait 10 minutes and I still didn't see anyone so I found my own table. Service was slow and the one staff working kept disappearing.

We found the two room suite to be wonderful

Everything was ok. However the personell at the check in counter could be more helpful.

Rooms great, spacey, clean.a must if you have kid's or pet's. 24 hr. Mickey D's next door. Stores down the street. Airport across street. Good eat's all over.

This hotel had two spacious rooms that made our family very comfortable. My kids had plenty of room to spread out and play, without interfering with our sleep environment. It was in a great area and near the interstate. Very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was nice over all. It was a good room with comfortable beds. Upon arriving the only rooms available were smoking rooms when a non-smoking room was requested. We chose to sight see for a while and upon returning they had no double suites available which was what I had reserved. PARKING IS OUTRAGEOUS!!! 0-30 minutes is free in the lot but from 30 Minutes to 3 hours is $12 and anything over 3 Hours is $18. You are charged every time you leave the lot. I complained to the Night Manager about the parking with no success. I also brought up the issue when checking out, and the Day Manager was surprised that he didn’t mention the FREE LOT across the way.

Standardzied Sheraton efficiency and comfortable beds and a can't beat location next to O'Hare, with shuttle service. Had excellent dinner at Nick's 5-star (just across the parking lot)and enjoyed that, too.

This was a very nice hotel, I was disappointed in the fact that the parking was not free.

A bar of soap in the room would have been a nice touch!

We were very happy with our stay at the Sheraton Gateway Suites. If we had to pick I would say our favorite things were the pillows(big & soft) and the pool. I have never been to a hotel where the pool is so warm! We can't complain about anything. Definitely recommend this hotel and will for sure stay here again if we are in the area.

Spacious room, convenient to O'Hare.

We stayed at this hotel over the Memorial Day weekend. It was extremely clean, and surprisingly quiet considering its proximity to the airport. The only drawbacks were the occasionally noisy folks in the hall and the face that you have to pay for parking. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast bar was pretty good, too.

Wish we could of had a longer stay it was so nice. will stay again if in the chicago area.

I love staying here. The only thing is the parking it should be free it's ridiculous how much they charge.

If you are regular traveler than would appreciate the size of the rooms and comfort. The bed was very comfy and had everything what you expect. Highly recommended!!!!

nice room, good location. Making reservation could not have been easier. Great overall experience.

My room/suite was quite nice and the bed linens were luxerious. The location was great. The transportation from the airport was confusing. Calling the hotel, they directed me to the Go Airport Express, but in fact the Sheraton has a free van service. I was disappointed that they did not have a mini bar. Breakfast was good but overpriced.
