The room was clean and everything worked and that's what mattered to me.

Our stay was for 4 days and the service was great ...pool was clean and hotel complex was rather quite ....rooms are clean and just what you need for a stay away from home ...price was very reasonable and allowed me to book for longer stay ...

THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN!!! NOT THAT FAR FROM THE CLASSIC CENTER.

All my family were completely amazed when we saw the hotel room. We have never seen a two-star hotel this clean -- no strange smell at all (non-smoking room). Continental breakfast was very good (even though not the best like very expensive hotels). This hotel was way beyond our expectation. I strongly recommend this hotel, if you are looking for a budget hotel room.

Reasonable hotel for the money but definitely cheap hotel. Fair amount of road noise, good HVAC, comfortable beds, limited breakfast.

Reservation was wrong. No elevator. I asked for first floor and was told only second available. I have a bad knee and it was very difficult to manage the stairs. Beds were very uncomfortable, springs broken. Coffee tasted like dishwater. Computer in lobby for guests did not work and employees were no help.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and if you have a car, it is in a great location. The only complaints I have are that the breakfast was not great (no fruit or other fresh items), and the water took a very long time to heat up in the shower. I stayed there twice and both times I was in the lower building (farther from the check-in) and it took about 10 minutes to get hot water in the morning (at about 7am). Perhaps it is better in one of the other wings of the hotel. Overall, it was good and if the price stays cheap, I would stay there again.

Clean rooms, it is just the rooms are small and the beds are extremely small for a double bed. Great room for the price and if you are going to stay for one night. I don't think I would stay a week, but one night yea.

Clean, comfortable and located on main street through downtown Athens.

The staff at the hotel is incompetent. The two times I have stayed here, it has taken an average of 45 minutes to check. The hotel itself is decent though.

only two complaints, the heater is really noisy and fan runs non-stop, even when not pumping heat smoking and non-smoking rooms are all mixed together therefore you smell smoke everywhere in the hotel it is clean and well kept though, and a good value

clean older motel

The room smelled awful, especially the blanket. The hallways reeked of cigarettes. The shower did not drain. The toilet paper holder was coming out of the wall. The remote only worked when it felt like it. There were bugs. Way too many plugs/extension cords and not enough outlets. When asked about things to do around town the lady at the front desk said to go into town and ask someone. On the other hand, Don at the front desk was very helpful.

WE asked for a NON Smoking room... NOt only did the hall stink, but the room and all bedding stunk. If it's NON Smoking, why does the room have ash trays in it!!! Don't go there!!

The hotel was overpriced with outdated appliances that in some cases were still dirty. The pillows were awful and musty smelling and the sheets were stained - with what, I have no clue. The water pressure was below average, the view was less than desirable and the surrounding parking lot especially along the back wall almost invited a late night car break-in. Additionally, the location is not within walking distance of downtown so a cab is required if you will be driving.

The rooms have been resently painted and new carpet has been installed. They look very clean

This is definitely a great value. We only needed a room to spend the night and that's what we got. There was a little problem with the remote control (did not work), and the air conditioning unit is very close to one of the beds, but other than that, we are very satisfied.

We took our daughter to her college orientation at UGA and were very pleased. The hotel was only minutes from the campus, had all the neccesary amenities and was very affordable. What more can you ask for?!

The only complant I have is that the walls were very thin. You could here everything going on in the next room and I mean EVERYTHING.

I was surprised to find a minifridge in the hotel (pleased too since our cooler sprung a leak). Ironicly, the fridge did not work and we had to buy a new cooler. We didn't have one of those "do not disturb" signs for our door and the housekeeping staff didn't really take "no thank you" for an answer but it was nice having fresh towels every day. Varrious other things in the hotel were broken but overall, it was a good hotel and worth the money.

Stayed at this hotel before taking a day-long exam next day. I couldn't sleep a minute. It rained all night. So you might say so what. The roof is just a metal deck without any insulation or whatsoever. No water leakage but you can't imagine the noise level!!!

First, the door was jammed and there was a certain way you have to "pull, then push it". Second, the shower water was warm....but hardly hot enough to enjoy. And last, the remote didn't work. Its a decent place to stay over night after a game, or if you plan on being downtown all night. Other than that, pick another hotel.

5 minute drive to the UGA campus, clean rooms, surrounded by fast food and nice restaurants. Definitely not the newest hotel in town, but great for the money.

The screen on the patio door had been cut in several places, making it useless. The refrigerator wasn't cold; there was no iron. The walls had two golfball size holes and a large sunken area. The room was poorly lit and there was a roach on the nightstand.

Good value. Clean and quiet. Minimal breakfast

Overall the room was spacious, although the bed was a bit uncomfortable. Nothing to be unexpected at this price range. The cleaning staff was a little pushy about cleaning the room on their time table. For the trip I was keeping unusual hours and not out of the room during "normal hours". Otherwise you get what you are paying for, nothing more, nothing less.

This is a clean, safe, affordable hotel. The room and bathroom were standard-issue hotel rooms--nothing special, but certainly functional and very clean. Rooms are entered through a secure interior hallway, which is nicer than an exterior entry and added security. Very fast check and check out. They serve continental breakfast in the main check-in area, though we did not eat it. While this hotel is very close to downtown, it is definitely too far to walk. It is surrounded by plenty of restaurants, fast food, etc.

Rooms seem to be a little outdated, especially the bathroom. My towels were dingy & a little worn out.The outside doors at the end of the floors do not close immediately after they are opened. The doors stay open as if they were broke for a long time and then they slowly close. That is a saftey issue. The workers were extremly nice.

Could have used a DVD player, though. I found myself wanting to watch movies on a screen larger than my lapop, but there was neither a DVD player nor a S-video input on the television. The hotel room was useful for sleeping and showering. The basics. Which is what I look for in hotels.

Hotel is fine but need two things: 1. Whole grain breakfast items. 2. Softer beds- I didn't sleep well at all because my hips and back hurt. Circulation was cut-off no matter how I positioned myself. The bed was extremely uncomfortable--toooooooo hard.

Overall, good experience. It was the perfect place to arrive late and leave early between stops on the road. Good location for Athens and the cost was very reasonable. Not a romatice getaway, but a perfect pitstop for a night or so.

We've stayed at this HoJo twice now, and both times were acceptable. The room was clean & comfortable, staff was very friendly & helpful, no problems w/check-in. We chose this particular hotel for its location: right on W. Broad, so only minutes from Downtown/UGA and then convenient for the trip to Atlanta. Recommended!
