Boston Omni Parker House Hotel - Boston

Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen. Der Großteil der touristisch interessanten Orte lässt sich bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Die Erwartungen an das Hotel sollte man trotz der tollen Internetbilder nicht zu hoch ansetzen. Die Reputation des Omni Parker stammt eindeutig aus der Vergangenheit, auch wenn das Hotel in seiner über 150 jährigen Geschichte sicher das eine oder andere Mal modernisiert worden ist. Der Gebäudetrakt, in dem wir untergebracht waren, war trotz Aufzug nur über eine Treppe zu erreichen (Koffer schleppen) und roch zudem ziemlich muffig. An vielen Stellen sieht man dem Haus sein Alter deutlich an! Das Zimmer selbst ist für Menschen größer Liliputaner als sehr klein und eng zu bezeichnen. Gleiches gilt für das Bett: 140cm erinnern eher an Jugendzimmer als an "Nobelhotel". Die Einrichtung (typisch amerikanischer Stil) und die Sauberkeit gehen voll in Ordnung. Die Klimatisierung (Kühlung & Heizung) erfolgt über eine typisch "billge" sprich einfache Gerätekosntruktion in der Außenwand. Die Geräuschentwicklung des Kastens könnte man in einem 50 Dollar Motel gerade noch akzeptieren, in einem Hotel dieser Katergorie hätte ich etwas anderes erwartet. Stichwort Geräusche: Wie viele alte amerikanische Bauten ist auch das Omniparker kaum/nicht isoliert – Straßenlärm also stets präsent. In Anbetracht des Preisgefüges an der Ostküste der USA und der zentralen Lage können die Übernachtungskosten gerade noch als akzeptabel bezeichnet werden.

Zimmer recht geräumig, Lage ausgezeichnet (1 Minute zum Boston Common, 3 MInuten zu Fanueil Hall), hervorragender Service.

Ich habe ein kleines Zimmer bestellt und wurde überrascht, wie klein das Zimmer wirklich war. Wohnen im kleinen Zimmer ist wie Tetris spielen: jede Bewegung muss vorher gut geplant werden.

Sehr gute Lage, der Freedom Trail führ an der Hoteltür vorbei! Das Zimmer war etwas klein, aber in suoer Zustand. WLAN leider nur in der Lobby, dafür aber frei.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, man ist sofort mitten im Geschehen. Allerdings war mein Zimmer winzig klein. Ich konnte kaum mit dem Koffer am Bett vorbei. Dafuer war das Zimmer ruhig gelegen und auch sehr sauber.

Booked a traditional room which was very small, narrow entranceway opposite bathroom and tiny room which was only slightly bigger than the queen bed. Best thing about the hotel is the location, very central. Have stayed in better hotels with bigger rooms for the same money and would not stay here again.

Old hotel (on US standards), quite grand and well located. The room was lovely but pretty small.

Wonderful, historic and charming hotel with a great location! Sights of Boston within walking distance. Front desk is very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean to the eyes and nose. Would plan a return stay.

Our bed was just a small full bed for two people--a little cramped but we made due. I didn't realize hotels would put 2 adults in a full bed anymore! The service was excellent and the location has to be among the most convenient in Boston to the Freedom Trail, Fanueil Hall, and the Italian section.

HOTEL LOCATION GREAT. CAN WALK TO ALMOST EVERYTHING. ROOM SMALL AND BATH TINY. THE WALK IN CLOSET WAS LARGER THAN THE BATH! THIS IS OUR SECOND TIME AT THE PARKER HOUSE AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ALL!

I had a shower and the drain took 1 hour to drain, the fire alarm went off, we we turned on the heater a little. Also the room smelled. Moreover, in regards cost parking with the hotel over night was a whopping 40.00

Excellent location, close to many attractions. Comfortable, although small room.

This is a beautiful, historic hotel in a wonderful part of Boston - walk to everything. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. I can't wait to go back.

Love this hotel. Right in the heart of everything. I adore the old Boston atmosphere and the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I arrived in the rain and the bellman was ready to help us with bags and keep us dry.

The rooms are so SMALL....no joke I read the reviews and heard they were small but seriously I upgraded to the "deluxe room" and it was tiny! Overall comfy bed, great location and staff.

Hotel has lots of character and seems to pay attention to detail. Our room didn't have a view which was disappointing but the decor and features within the room compensated for this. My wife who is 5 feet tall was amused by the very high bed! Coffe maker and coffee blend highly recommended.

First of all, this hotel is best for history buffs. It was built in the mid-1800s, and definitely has a historic charm. Also, consequently, the rooms are not particularly spacious. However, it is very clean, elegantly decorated, and in a wonderful location. Can't comment on parking because we didn't bring a car, but it is within 2 blocks of a T stop, and walkable to Boston Common, Beacon Hill, and plenty of other great neighborhoods. Also, it is on the Freedom Trail! Overall, would stay there again!

Hotel was in excellent location. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

Old world charm, nicely furnished but the room was a little tight. The restaurant was beautiful and we had a delicious dinner. Used room service for breakfast and again, the food was delicious and came to the room hot and as ordered! Use the valet parking for a daily fee, public parking is only a couple dollars less and with the valet you can go in and out with no additional cost.

The Omni Parker was exactly what I needed for a two day stay. The room was great, the staff was very helpful, and the location is awesome. Staying at the omni parker was an experience because its so close to so many great things that Boston has to offer and the staff is more than helpful in helping you find somewhere to go or giving you directions to a place you want to see. All in all it was an awesome stay. i'll be back for sure.

This was a beautiful hotel in a great location within Boston. We stayed for a week and were within walking distance to most everything. The concierge service was very helpful and the staff was great.

This hotel is simply over priced, the reception was border rude and certainly passing on her bad day to me. The room is kinda small and ok if it was $50 cheaper. not worth the money, many better hotels in boston.

Hotel is in an excellent location in downtown Boston. It is walking distance to every place in town. The rooms are smaller but cozy. We stay here all the time when we go into boston. The staff is great and extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

I loved the old-fashioned feel of this hotel. The lobby is absolutely beautiful, the room was quiet and nicely appointed, and the location could not be beat! Mere blocks from the Commons and Public Garden and very short walk to Quincy Market and many other area attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel. One caveat: the price of parking is a bit too much...I would recommend using the Boston Commons garage if you do not plan to use your car often. Once you drop off your luggage, it is a short distance away. Oh, and one last note: if you use GPS to get to the hotel, enter the zip code. Otherwise, you can end up in a completely different neighborhood of Boston.

Beautiful hotel steeped in history. Great location. Wonderful "Parker House Rolls". Only problem was our room and key were provided to another couple DURING our stay, who surprised us by entering our room. Hotel corrected the mistake, but it took a full hour (making us late for dinner). No compensation or nicety was provided for our inconvenience.

I would not have put my dog in the room I was first given. It looked like a lein closet that had been converted into a "room". I had to pay extra for a room wher you could actually walk around the bed. The second room would have been exceptable at the inital rate. The frist room was so small that if the door was open you could not get between it and the small chest of drawers (which the TV sat on) or even see the bathroom. The window looked out onto a small space between two buildings that was coverd with pigon droppings. YUK! The ice bucket had to be located by the bellman behind the TV (nowhere else for it to sit). If I were the Omni I would be embaressed to even offer such a room. It really cheapened by opinon of the chain, and I will not stay in any of their hotels again.

The hotel itself is somewhat old and charming on the inside....However, the room was so tiny that we had to walk sideways to get from the bed to the bathroom in order to fit between the dresser and the bed. Was very dissapointed to find that we had to go down to the lounge at 10:30 pm to watch the Boston Red Sox Game....who would believe that in Boston you can't get the game from your Hotel Room! Wouldn't stay there again unless I was guaranteed a bigger room and the Sox were not on.

This was our second time staying here and I am very satisfied with the service, location and even the price. It is the best "bang for your buck". Although I hate to let the secret out. The staff is outstanding and the rooms are very clean, bed is sooo comfortable. The restaurants are great, good food, awesome service. Finally nice to see great service and appearance in an upscale hotel. Kudos to Omni.

Upon check in, we were given a free upgrade to a suite from a standard double occupancy (wonder if the fact we booked from hotels.com had anything to with this, knowing we would rate it). That was a pleasant surprise. The room was very nice and the beds were probably the most comfortable I laid in... Ever. The parking was kind of iffy since I didn't want to pay 40 for valet. I had to park a block over and walk the rest of the way. The parking garage ended up scamming me out of 12 bucks anyway (charged me 30 when it was supposed to be 18) so I should have got the valet. Overall it was a nice place if you are looking to stay centralized in Boston for touristy stuff.

Close to Boston Commons and Freedom trail.

The first impression is a the door when a polite staff member greets you and escorts you through the amazing lobby to the front desk. Everyone is very courteous and helpful.The service in the dining room is exceptional and, although I had only breakfasts while I was there, I was impressed with the menu as well.
