Das Hotel wird gerade umgebaut, die Betten sind alt und die Zimmer muffig, der Kaffee am Morgen ist dagegen gut, Summe: der Preis für das Hotel ist viel zu teuer und dann rechnen sie auch noch mit Vorkasse ab, ohne Chance etwas zu ändern, im Zeichen der Zeit: schlechte Performance

Das Hotel ist für einen Genfbesuch sehr gut gelegen. Die Zimmer sind klein und die Möblierung ist schon benutzt, was auch einen gewissen charme hat. Die Bedienung war freundlich und die Zimmer waren sauber. Last but not Least. Das Hotel hat ein offenes WLAN. An der Rezeption bekommt man die Zugangsdaten.

Zum Übernachten für wenige Tage ok, sonst nicht empfehlenswert. Allerdings: Preiswert.

The hotel is not habitable. They are in works. The hotel staff is enormously rude. My experience was aweful.

You must pass through a construction site to get to the front desk and there is no space that is not under renovation on the ground floor. I found a guy doing electrical work in my room twice when I returned. It is not in habitable conditions, and you don't even get a price discount for that

Right now (June 2009) they are rebuilding the main hallway. The rooms themselves look very recently redone, and are nice and clean. The hotel management speaks excellent English and was solicitous and helpful. The rooms were very small, but fine for a traveler on a budget. Good free breakfast, and a card to get you on local transportation free. 2 blocks away from the main train station, and a 10 minute walk from the main touristy area.

Let's start by being fair to the Hotel. It was undergoing a massive renovation and rebuilding programme while we were there. The entrance foyer was boarded up, there was no carpet on the stairs, the elevator was out of action, there was dust everywhere and the small of paint was overwhelming. No doubt the Atel Windsor will look smarter when the work if finished but what will not change is how small the rooms are, nor how the bathroom is no more than a cupboard leaving no room to dry oneself on exiting the shower . It probably won't change the miserable breakfast either. And it certainly won't change what they don't tell you in the Hotel's descriptions - it's in the very heart of the Red Light District and at all hours of day and night there are prostitutes positioned every 10 yards along the pavements outside. Trust me - avoid at all costs.

Pros: near central station, very very nice hotel managers, clean enough, bed ok Cons: Shower water didn't drain, no bath, no non-smoking rooms so all rooms kind of smell, could hear man in room next to me snoring and using washroom, lobby smelled like bathroom, breakfast was mediocre, sex shop next door once they finish renovations I think it will be much better.

I really didn't like the hotel, nor the neighborhood. Although it was close to the train station, I would not recommend it to anyone, there must be hundreds of others much better... it was old and dark, smelled old and had very uncomfortable beds...

This wsas a Noisy Hotel. Room was from the 50's. Very Miserable. Only best thing was the force of the Shower Bathriim Tatty

I think this hotel was over priced, very run down. There were renovations going on in the hotel during our stay. We were relieved we were only staying for one night. It is definatly not a 3 star hotel and should not be advertised as same. Breakfast very poor.

The hotel is just off Rue de Berne, which is Geneva's very own little red light district. While under construction, the new entrance was one block over--across the other side. The rooms are a bit small and the locks seem flimsy at best. But the fact of the matter is that for what it's worth the rooms are comfortable and have large windows that can open. Further, this is an area where the locals look out for one another and a hotel where the locals look after the residents of the hotel. Should anyone try to break in to your room, I think someone would be easily caught. I used to live here for three years. And it is next to the train station. The location is a must.

i know Geneva is expensive however, this is well over priced needs a complete refurbishment room was small and not so clean staff not over friendly breakfast pretty poor one to overlook hotel has two entrances as it is between two streets front entrance is off a quiet street, second entrance, and out into red light district

This hotel had a very nice location. we arrived in Geneva via the main train station and a taxi actually laughed when we asked him to take us to our hotel because it was only 2 blocks away. The hotel is located right in downtown Geneva which was very accessible to our needs. The hotel is typical European with smaller rooms and a very small elevator. The room had all the necessities and even had cable television. THe people at the front desk were very friendly and spoke English. There was nothing special about this hotel but it did serve all of our needs and i would recommend it to other travelers.

Tatty, old-fashioned dump in a seedy area of town. The smell of smoke in the bedroom was only masked by the pong from countless kebab shops nearby. Only redeeming quality was that it was close to the railway station; I caught the first train out of there!

Would I go back there, certainly not. Business colleague from California stayed the same period. He described it as 'a prison' The beds had clean sheets, but their condition was battered to say the least and probably 25+ years old. Paint peeling off rooms. Noise from the flag poles outside our window, noise coming from the water pipes in the bathroom kept us awake. When we wanted a drink at the bar at 9.30pm we were told it was closed. Not just one night but all nights we were there. Whole place needs closing for a major re-fit

this hotel look like 3 stars but after breakfast you can understand not 3 stars. except breakfast,i think very nice hotel.especially their location perfect 3 min to lake and very closed old city..

this is a good place for short stays in geneva. very central location, cheap, friendly and good service. free wireless internet free public transport cards

the hotel is nicely located near the lake and train station. the hotel itself it fine, the room was clean (bit in need of a renovation) and had great water pressure in the shower, but the bed was very uncomfortable. all in all, a decent cheap place to stay.

This hotel was nice and not too expensive. It provides the basics in a spartan way, but it is comfortable to me. There are no amazing extras and it isn't a five-star hotel on the water, but on a budget it is a fine place to stay to experience beautiful Geneva (the city is more important than staying in the hotel anyway).

the rooms are way too small, i was promised a king size bed, but was given a twin size bed. the shower and the appearance of the room are not of the price i paid. this hotel does NOT meet the qualifications of a three star hotel.

This is a no frills hotel, but it's clean, the water is hot, it's cheap, the help if extremely friendly and helpful and the location is central.

Det pågick en renovering på hotellet under min vistelse. Så det var väldigt smutsigt pga byggdamm. Rummen var väldigt lyhörda och små. Frukosten var basic. Ett stort plus var location av hotellet. Hotellt låg endast 200 m från Tågstationen. Det fanns mycket resturanger i närheten av hotellet. Trevlig personal.

l'hotel étant en grand traveaux de renovations il est difficile de donner une appréciation ,mais à mon avis cela ne merite pas le nombre d' étoiles pour le moment ,malgré tout le rapport qualité prix est correcte pour Geneve

L'hotel est très bien situé à 5mn à pied de la gare ou du lac. L'accueil à la réception est agréable. Cependant, il y a besoin d'une rénovation générale (elle est en cours) et d'un peu plus d'entretien. Dernier défaut : il n'y avait pas de thé au petit-déjeuner. C'est pourtant pas difficile ...

Vieux, miteux et bruyant, en plein quartier chaud ! Entrée introuvable en raison des travaux...

le prix est un peu élevé pour la qualité de l'hotel mais un très bon accueil

Chambre exiguë, lit qui grince, moquette tachée, télécommande télé qui fonctionne pas, pas de clim, bruits à l'extérieur toute la nuit...

Chambre d'environ 4 m2, matériels très ancien, non entrenu, moquette très salle avec plein de tache, lit qui grince etc...

L hotel ce situe dans le quartier tres vivant/bruyant des Pâquis, ce qui est pratique car central mais très dérangeant car je n ai pas pu dormir une bonne partie de la nuit à cause du bruit. La chaleur dans la chambre etant insoutenable (alors que la température n avait pas dépassé les 20 degrés dans la journée), nous avons du ouvrir la fenetre pendant la nuit. Le bruit est infernal. Si les fenetres sont fermées, le bruit persiste mais est plus étouffé. Le petit dejeuner est tour à fait décent et la chambre est propre.

Hotellet har inte någon egen parkering, har man bil får man parkera den på gatan ... om det nu råkar finnas någon plats ... annars finns bara parkeringshus att tillgå. Det här hotellet borde ha 1,5 stjärnor i betyg.

Hotellet virket å være et tidligere flott hotell som nå bærer preg av tidens tann, det er gammelt og slitt. Badet var sikkert fint en gang, men dette var veldig slitt. Mange sprukne fliser hvor en del var forsøkt limt, men ikke alle. Det var rustflekker etter vannet. Rommet bar preg av at det tidligere var tillatt å røyke i. Møblement og gulvbelegg var slitt så det vistes.

L'hôtel est dans le red light district, les chambres sont petites, on entend les voisins, la salle de bain sent le javel, les wc datent d'avant-guerre... cette chambre ne méritait pas son prix, même à Genève
