The Inn @ Lincoln Park has a "European" quality ... the rooms are old and small, the bathroom is old and small, the bed is old and small ... the parking lot is too small to accomodate the number of cars ... even at 1 car per 10 rooms. Overflow parking is nearby ... but it is far from convenient.

This is an older hotel, so be prepared for window-box air conditioning, faded bedding, "vintage" bathrooms, and low on amenities for the business traveler. That being said, it's a great location, the staff was very friendly, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was serve yourself and lots of choices.

This is a wonderful old hotel, quite convenient to public transportation. The neighborhood has always been laid-back, but this time street people were in evidence, especially later in the week. Otherwise, it's always enjoyable to stay at this establishment.

Well maintained "vintage" hotel in Lincoln Park. Walking distance to everything. Room was larger than expected (we might have gotten lucky). Staff was helpful.

This hotel is safe and reasonably clean. The rooms are tiny and very outdated. I thought it was a good deal for the price since I really love the location.

If you're looking for the "traditional" hotel experience, this is not the place for you. The Inn at Lincoln Park is an older building whose room/bathroom/closet sizes vary depending on the way the building was made, you may have to travel through a few different hallways to get to your room, and you'll have a window air conditioning unit. But, on the whole, it was just fine! It was clean, the staff was hospitable, the security and location were great, and I have no complaints!

The hotel is old and with that comes old toilets, showers, old comforters, and small bathrooms. But if your visiting Chicago and you're not gonna be inside the much, the Inn is the best way to go! There is so much to do in that area and all types of neat restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. Plus its close to the train and close to downtown. I've stayed there 4 times and now and its the only place I will stay in Chicago.

The hotel staff was friendly and helped with directions to attractions. The room was small, hotel was old but the location was great, near the "El" train, and good area to wander even after dark. I would recommend!

With in walking distance of Wrigley Field, the water front, the yacht harbor, many restaurants, I loved the location.

The hotel is very outdated...we had dead bugs in our room and they did not follow the request of when I required a non-smoking room and got stuck with a smoking room. I would not stay here again.

It was an eccellent hotel and great location for the money!!

The service was unfriendly. No one greeted you when you came through the door. In fact, the people at the desk barely looked up. I found popcorn, dust and other debris under the bed. The shower backed up and after I complain they apparently fixed it and it was better one day and then ankle deep again the next. Our keycards quit working every day after 3pm. We had to go to the desk each day and have them fixed. When we checked in the clerk gave us a room that was already occupied.

Really enjoy staying in the heart of Lincoln Park! The room wasn't too big but you will not be in it much. I had a nice hot shower and never had a problem with the water. Hotel staff was very accommodating and answered all my questions about the hotel and the LP area. Very charming, can't beat the location and the parking is a great price for the area! Would stay there again.

We chose this hotel so we could walk to Wrigley Field. It was a little bit longer of a walk than expected, but a low taxi rate when raining. It was small but nice. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly. Everything in the room was in working condition. We would stay there again.

We went into the hotel knowing it was going to be a small room. We stayed for the location, and the location is great. The hotel looks like something from the 1920s which I found to be pretty cool. I suggest avoiding the elevator if you are claustrophobic or have any fears of elevators, because it is small! Overall the hotel served it's purpose. If you are wanting to spend a large amount of time in the hotel you will not want to stay here, but if you want a place to crash it's perfect.

Close to great restaurants, Wrigley, and the Lincoln Park Zoo. Service at the hotel was very good. Minimum amenities in the room, but more than adequate. Only complaint is the air conditioner was not blowing cold air, just air that was a little cooler than the room. Easy parking for $15 per day.

This is an old, unrennovated hotel, in a reasonably convenient location to restaurants, the EL, and shops. I was disappointed in the decor, which my daughter described as "Barton Fink." It did included a free continental breakfast. Staff was friendly enough, and the bathroom amenities (soaps, shampoos) were nice. No free internet in the rooms; there is a free computer in the lobby, but no printer. Not great, but not horrible. If you need to be in this location, it is a decent value.

This was probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. We didn't expect much, so we weren't disappointed. We just needed a place to spend the night in that neighborhood: an hour of television (which btw was the oldest tv I've seen in a long time), sleep, shower and breakfast the next morning and we were out of there. The breakfast was your typical hotel continental breakfast, nothing special. There were probably larger rooms than ours in the hotel; at least I hope so. The hotel has a small adjacent parking lot for $15 which isn't bad by Chicago standards. We, however, spent a little extra time driving around and found free street parking a couple of blocks away. If you're looking for a nice place to stay while in Chicago and are fussy, look elsewhere. If you just need a place to sleep at night and aren't picky, this will do the trick. The location is great if you want or need something in the Lincoln Park area or away from the downtown/Michigan Ave area. And you can easily hop on a bus to take you there.

The location, service and parking were great, but the actual hotel accommodations (decorations/utilities) were outdated. Also, we saw a cockroach in the lobby.

The Inn at Lincoln Park was a convenient location to our son's apartment. The surrounding area is very nice and we felt safe as we walked to and from our son's apt. even late at night. There are plenty of nice places to eat close by. Overall we were pleased with the Inn but the room was very very small. Just enough room for a bed and small chest which the TV was on. This was ok for us as we were not 'living' in this room but only sleeping. The continental breakfast was better than most and the breakfast area was clean and neat. We didn't like having to pay extra for parking, so our son showed us where to park on the street. I would stay here again.

I chose this hotel for location and was not expecting much. However I have never had a hotel under exceed my expectations as the Lincoln Park Inn. First, staff was very nice, lobby cute. But my room was very drab and depressing. Very, very small and probably has not been updated since the 50's. Seriously!! Spotted carpet, water damaged wall and wallpaper coming off the walls. The 3 lamps in the room had low voltage light bulbs which added to the depressing mood. This might have been Ok if I paid , say $60 a night. I do not know how they could justify the price I was charged.

This hotel is all about location, the Five Seasons it is NOT... but the area cant' be beat.

This was my third stay at the Inn at Lincoln Park and I just love it. Staff is always accommodating and ready to assist. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I will be back again and again. Rooms are not spacious but are well priced.The Location is outstanding. This Hotel is perfect for people that just want a place to shower and sleep and get out and enjoy Chicago.

It's a little old and funky and my room was tiny but that's what I expected. The bed was comfortable, the plumbing functional, storage was adequate and the room was quiet. Continental breakfast was very basic but the coffee was good. The internet PC did not work. Staff were efficient. Good location with lots of restaurants nearby. Overall a great and inexpensive place to stay if you aren't going to spend a lot of time in the room.

Price, location and available parking were a match for our needs while moving out our college student from the neighborhood. We have stayed here before and were quite happy. Boiler very noisy. The free breakfast was great. Although, available items were scaled back since our last stay.

We booked this hotel because of the great location to friends in the Chicago area. What a disappointment from beginning to end. The rooms were old, the beds were disgusting, and the bathroom was old and cheaply repaired. (There was black soot coming out of the shower drain when you stood in it!!) We went downstairs to complain and there were 2 other couples in line with similiar issues. The staff ended up changing our room. The second room was a little bit better, but not by much. The beds and bathrooms were the same, the room smelled like somebody chain-smoked 2 packs of cigarettes, and the shower didn't drain. It looked like I had run a bath by the time I was done with my shower. I definitely do not recommend this hotel for any reason. Not worth the money, not worth the location - Next time we'll spend less money and stay in a real hotel.

it's ok. wi-fi internet is incredibly spotty and the rooms are busted up, but the location is great and if you show up early enough, the on site parking is fantastic.

This was the second time we've stayed at this hotel and we've enjoyed it both times. It's not perfect but we don't need luxury accommodations. This type of hotel is great for those with such an expectation and mindset.

A couple of friends and myself decided to go to Chicago for a short getaway. I had been there several times before and from time to time have been let down by many of the hotels that I've stayed at. I was very happy with the Inn at Lincoln Park. Our room was amazing, it felt as though we were at home. Our room was decent size, overlooking Diversey and had two restrooms. Some of the staff were very unfriendly but they did let us check our bags in when we arrived early so that we could venture around the city, instead of waiting. For the price of the room and the location of the hotel, I couldnt be more satisfied. We will be recomending the Inn to all of our friends and family.

Very affordable and great location. The rooms were small, but didn't spend much time in it anyway. Only complaint is limited parking in the lot directly outside, but the hotel pays for a parking garage down the street.

Hotel was old but had been updated. Carpets, walls were in good shape Room and bathroom were small but suited my purpose of only using room to sleep & shower. Breakfast was ok, mostly cold items

Nice older hotel, The only issue is parking. I was lucky and got a parking space and walked everywhere or used the "L" A great neighbor with a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. It is older so some of the fixtures are not as modern but if you like the older hotels this would be for you. Get a room with a king size bed! The rooms with a regular size bed are tiny!

Hotel was very average and quite dated - but what you would expect in its price range. Parking a rip off for the hotels own parking lot. Worst feature in this day and age is no complimentary wi-fi, outsourced at $10.00 for 24 hours and then signal was so weak I kept having to reconnect - not at all useful for business purposes. Area decent with good selection of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

It's old and charming and really comfortable.(Reminds me of the small boutique hotels on south beach in Miami) It's not at all new... if you want that go to a chain hotel. Everyone was beyond helpful and nice. It was next to everything and if it wasn't right next to it was a short walk or cab ride. The breakfast was really nice better then most chains. I am not a visitor to Chicago I am a local and think it is so cute and charming. I will stay there again.

The room was a little bit small but we didn't expect too much for the extreemly low price we paid. The neighborhood is great and easy to navigate. The breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts we've ever had. The building was very cute and charming. I would totally recomend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Chicago.

This hotel is a historic gem, in a great location. While it doesn't have state of the art amenities, it has comfort and charm. The staff is excellent too! I'll definitely stay there again.
