Lage - zum Marinemuseum und Hafen ca 2 km-motel-artige Anlage mit kleinem Pool - für längeren Aufenthalt nicht so geeignet, aber als Hotel vor oder nach einer Cruise gut geeignet. Continental breakfast kein Ersatz für ein richtiges Frühstück. Personal sehr hilfsbereit. Zimmer o.k.

The rooms are fine, but it's a little old and run down. "Continental Breakfast" consists of a box of donuts.

The hotel is in kind of a bad area of town. The price is right and there is food around close

After our cruise we wanted to explore the area and see Cal State Long Beach. The desk clerk printed us up a mapquest and sent us on our way with better verbal directions. We have used this Hotel twice when leaving out of San Pedro Port. It is in an excellant location. We could see our ship from the window.

Clean rooms, helpful staff, gas stations & store close by. I would return.

bad situation, got blocked in and almost missed my flight

Hotel was OK. However, compared to other hotels at which I have stayed for park/cruise or park/fly, it was extremely basic. E.G., room was very small, and it's the first hotel I have stayed at in years, that did not have a coffee pot in the room. (A modest continental breakfast was served in the lobby until 9am.) I must add that the staff was universally helpful and polite.

We stayed here for one night prior to our cruise. We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is older but clean and comfortable. They provided a free shuttle to the port on our departure day, which was very much appreciated.

Not bad for the money. Close to were I needed to be.

This hotel located in a bad area. The front desk locks up their office at 6pm. I stayed on the third floor and the light was out in public area near the elevator. So, how can the camera sees clear if there's anything happens? I would not stay in this place any more.

it was ok for our needs just ne night on our way to meet cruise ship we had a room at front of hotel proved to be very loud traffic all night so not much sleep reception very friendly lots of hot water and clean .

The location sucks if you are thinking about staying close to Los Angeles. The people who own and run the hotel are not the friendliest people. If you check out a little after 12pm, they will charge you additional fees. Two things I thought were good were their towels and a map print out machine.

Very good service! Good price. The pool is much smaller than it looks on the pictures... but it doesn't matter. There was some unpleasant smell outside coming from the A/C's... but the room inside was pretty nice and very clean! Some problem with the TV service at the moment, but we didn't go there to watch TV! :) Overall, the best you can get for this price & category!

We recently had to stay at the hotel due to fumigation of our home. I was very pleased with their pet policy and price. It was a great room for a short stay. Very friendly staff.

The service we recieved was far from decent. We had plumbing troubles. Our shower constantly backed up and filled with hair and assorted wastes. We never recieved proper help with it. Despite asking for a room change. We were placed on the back burner. My boyfriend ended up plunging out the shower, and cleaning it with Hydrogen Peroxide and bleach from walgreens. They only offered us inncense for the smell, and shampoo to clean out the shower. Overall it was a complete waste of time and money. We would have been better off sleeping in our car! I would expect at the least, a partial if not total return of our payment.

Nothing fancy, nice staff, beds were hard if you want a cheap place with no frills it's alright

great location for staying the night prior to a cruise departure. Good restaurants in area, easy to get around. Overall, a good stay.

Complete renovation of the rooms.

Beautiful room with a view of the Harbor. Parking was a little tight. Need to improve on wakeup calls, it never happened.

Cheap place to stay if you won't have visitors.

The previous reviews were accurate. The room was very nice for the price. I would reccomend requesting a room on the back side, away from the street noise of Gaffey. Some of the other guests were, in a word "boisterous" but once in our room, we couldn't hear any disturbance.

Aging, and not too gracefully; morning office personnel quite pleasant and helpful.

A little noisy, didn't bother me. Coffee and donuts. Worked well for an overniter and show in Long Beach. Good budget hotel.

I have stayed at the Vagabond Inn in other cities. I have stayed in the one in Reno, NV many times also. This hotel is clean and the service is really friendly. In the morning they have fresh donuts for breakfast!This hotel is a good location and right off the 110.

The room was very clean. A little dissapointed that there was no hairdryer or fridge but other than that. I was there for a 4 day convention and it was a nice stay. The pool was VERY nice, and the perfect temp. Alot of people stay there on their way to a cruiz so it's good for that too. What suprised me was that there was a problem with the internet, I told the front desk, and they fixed it that same evening!!! That is a rarity.

When I saw this Hotel online I thought it would be a complete dump. Granted that's all I could afford. But to my pleasent surprise it was a lot better than I thought. The room was so clean I was able to sleep in the bed without thinking about what kind of people were there before me. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The "do not disturbe" actually keept out the maid. Basicly if you know what the Los Angeles area is like and you know that it's "not the best area" then you won't be disapointed. I was born and raised in the greater L.A. area so the sirans off in the distance didn't phase me. Just go with a good idea of what your getting in to. The hotel was extremely well keept concidering the area. I would stay there again, should the need arise. P.S. The "conteinental breakfast" was a little underwhelming. Just doughnuts and coffee, and if you didn't get there before 9am you missed out on the doughnuts. The coffee was very good.

The Anime' Int'l Expo caused most of the local hotels/motels to be completely booked and The Vagabond Inn was satisfactory for the money. Luxury hotels would cost at least twice the amount, so, in essence, this was a good deal for our purposes.

Clean room, with older furniture. Near busy street and freeway. Street noise could be heard in room. But being near the freeway was very convenient.

I had asked for a room that accommodated my handicap as I am partially paralyzed. They moved me into a room on the fourth floor then for my seconded day they wanted me to move. I had no time the next day to move. I stayed in the room

Good clean room. Building and grounds in good condition. Excellent for overnight stay to connect with cruise trip. Plan on $75 taxi from LAX.

Very convenient location and good value pricing for people requiring accodations related to cruise travel from Las Angeles- they even have a shuttle service to the cruise ships. Be aware: this IS NOT a convenient location for those travelling on Carnival Cruises.

Very convenient for the night before taking a cruise but otherwise nothing special.
