I really enjoyed my stay. The rate was very comfortable and with things going on with the economy, it was perfect. I will stay there again. Not bad of the location and the convenience of being across from the casino.

Overall great stay. No problems whatsoever. Rooms were clean. Location convenient. Read some bad reviews, but I didn't have those problems. They must have improved since then. Would stay again.

We couldn't have had a better location for a one night stay. The beds were extremely comfortable. The room is a decent size, however, the bathroom is almost miniature. The front desk clerk was very much in a hurry and not friendly. All other staff was friendly and efficient. The room was a great value for the location and especially being a Saturday night stay.

We were there for four days. Location is perfect, 100 feet from the Harrah's Casino entrance, literally across the street. Walking distance to French Quarter, Riverwalk, Aquarium, Shops at the Canal etc. The price was fantastic. The pool is to open at 6AM, it wasn't. If you like the sun, go in the morning or early afternoon. Ice machine on 13th floor was broken the entire stay. Bed was very comfortable and housekeeping was good but it seems we were shorted on towels. Overall, it was worth every penny and then some. Footnote: parking is $34.84 per day ! But you can go and come as often as you wish. Staff was very pleasant and we didn't use the restaurant.

Stayed here for a conference and it was in a great location close to French Quarter and the convention center. Price was right, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Doors are a little loud when they slam shut, but I would stay there again definitely.

I stayed here at the Doubletree the last weekend of July. Staff was very friendly and hotel was in a great location (right next to Harrah's casino and within walking distance to everything). Room was a little bit on the small side, but was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was nice and clean, rooms were clean tho smaller than expected (bathroom very small),and the staff was very curtious and helpful. Excellent location in the middle of downtown which is walking distance from mostly everything. Only thing got me was hotel parking was only valet which was pretty expensive, especially for our 6-night stay!!!

Enjoyed the stay; however, the housekeeping was not to par. Items were not restocked regularly and sheets not changed when expected. I have reported my concerns to the hotel. Staff was courteous and helpful. I liked the hotel but the housekeeping staff may have been overwhelmed with the Microsoft Convention, no excuse, the housekeeping staff should have planned for this event in advance.

Several issues with housekeeping: the first couple of days items were restocked, however, as time went on many items were missed. The sheets were to be changed every 3 days, that did not happen. I usually discovered this after a long day of touring and came back late in the evening and was too tired to call the desk. I was disappointed because my expectations of Doubletree were higher. Also, my friend had asked the desk to call me in my room to let me know her whereabouts. I never received the call, it was on my home recorder when I came home from my trip! I did meet up with her eventually.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, have been wanting to stay there for a long time. The staff were very courteous and teh hotel was very clean. The rooms were very comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. The only problem we had is in the parking. The only parking that is available is valet, whichis ok, but it should say on the htel's website that parking is valet and it should say how much that the valet parking is, other than that we enjoyed our stay, and will definately stay again in the future. I will definately recommend this hotel to friends and family in the future.

Great location near French quarter and train stops. Clean and met my expectations. Pool area left something to be desired. Also, the rooms are literally the loudest rooms in any hotel I have ever stayed. The doors constantly slam when shut (improper hinges) and can be heard 5 doors down.

I was in town for the World Series of Poker Circuit Event. I booked at Double Tree for the weekend and Harrah's for the weekdays. The location of Double Tree to the poker room is even closer than Harrah's hotel is to the poker room. They give warm cookies that are delicious to welcome guests to the hotel and give free US Today. The only complaint is house keeping didn't to a real thorough job. However it was good enough and I'm not picky on that.

To be honest, I did not expect much out the Double Tree New Orleans. We were traveling to New Orleans for Jazz Fest and just needed a room in a good location. The Double Tree turned out to be a fantastic hotel choice. The Double Tree staff went out of their way to make sure that we were happy and satisfied during our stay. The room was clean, spacious, and well appointed. The front desk staff and the bellmen were all fantastic and very helpful... and you got to love the fresh cookies they provide you at check in. All at a fair price. If I had the choice, I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Location is superb for those who like being close to the activity -- French Quarter, Riverwalk, etc., but removed enough to experience quiet, restful space. The room and hotel are very well maintained, and staff is extremely helpful. Definitely, this hotel surpassed our expectations.

Although the location was okay, we felt the hotel was not up to usual Doubletree standards.

The New Orleans Doubletree Hotel is in the perfect location for visiting New Orleans. It is centrally located for tourists. Easy access to the French Quarter, Casino and streetcar travel. My family really enjoyed being able to walk from the hotel to see the local attractions of New Orleans. We travelled up Saint Charles on the streetcar from the hotel. The streetcar stop is just across the street from the hotel. A block away from the hotel is the free shuttle to take you to the Blaine Kern Mardi Gras World. This is a tour all tourists should take to get an understanding of the world famed Mardi Gras. We all enjoyed our trip to New Orleans and the Doubletree Hotel.

The location is excellent, but the rooms and bathrooms are tiny without a fridge. Not a good place to take kids. We had some trouble getting the room cleaned each day, but the staff was very responsive when we complained. Not enough parking at the hotel, had to park in a lot two blocks away. Overall happy, but would not have been if I had paid full price for the room.

My only comment is that the creamers provided with the in-room coffee were bad and ruined my coffee. One was clotted to the point of being almost solid.

Loved the bed! I almost didn't want to get up. And the yes the walls are thin, but it wasn't really a problem for me. The location is great too - right across the street from Harrah's and only a few blocks away from the action on Bourbon St.

I went during Mardi Gras, so I obviously paid a much higher price than usual, but under different circumstances, it probably would have been a good deal. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The main thing was that it was a bit noisy. One could hear noise coming from the street, and the walls must have been thin because the neighbors were noticeably loud. It was, however, convenient to all the activities happening during Mardi Gras, but I would suggest arranging for parking (bring extra money for that) beforehand because Canal Street gets cut off during parades.

the hotel is ok, ice machine not working on floor that i was on. room was small and maid service wasn't great. Its New Orleans......the service in the city is horrible everywhere.

Hotel is in great location easily accessible to all nightlife and entertainment in the French Quarter but way over priced for one night.

GREAT LOCATION, CLEAN & GREAT PRICE,

Few comments: Internet should be free...the hotel charges $11.95 per day...this is too expensive...For catching attraction, Internet should be free or nominal charge. Bathroom not good quality. Water logging problem. Rooms and corridors too noisy.

When we first arrived they gave us their complimentary chocolate chip cookie right away at check-in. Which was really good. The staff were very friendly, and the condition of the hotel was fair. The room was pretty much overall roomy. We went to the House of Blues that night and it was surprisingly close. We actually walked there. I would recomend this hotel. And this hotel lets you have a smoking room upon request. That was awesome since most hotels don't even offer that anymoe.

We travel to NOLA once a month. When traveling with children, we stay outside the quarter. The doubletree was a perfect location and met all of our needs. Will be back!

We stayed at the Doubletree to avoid driving home after a wedding. When we arrived, the staff was very friendly-and equipped with a warm complimentary cookie! We were in a standard room. It was slightly small, but great for our purpose. Perfect for couples! The bed was so comfy, the coffee was great, and the view was amazing. It's only a few blocks from the action of the French Quarter, so we parked in a lot overnight and walked 2 blocks (and saved a few bucks). Overall, a perfect stay for what we needed!

Wonderful location and the staff was one of the friendliest around!!

ROOM WAS TOO SMALL FOR A KING SIZE BED, JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR A CRIB THOUGH. T.V. DIDN'T WORK PROPERLY, FRONT DESK NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE IN AN TIMELY MANNER, OVERALL . . . SUCKED !

took a cab back to the room from bourbon street... but only because it was 4am... woke up and walked into the casino with $20 and out with $975... perfect location... great room and view...

convient location (near river, convention center, etc.), but the surrounding neighborhood (French Quarter) is a little sketchy. The room itself was fine, and the service was prompt. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to any person or couple.

Great location ,nice room ,very comfortable but management did not control guests that were disruptive even being asked to.

the day and night staff are on completely different pages and they dont have the rules i guess. night staff was great day staff was horrible. id recommend other hotels that are just as convenient and where the staff is better

The hotel did not have any amneties as far as a salon or restaurant. It was raining and we had to go to another hotel for food. My son was getting married and it would have been nice to have a salon on the premises to have my hair done. It was very, very expensive for only one night. I would not go there again for that price. Plus we were awaken at 7:30 a.m by the pipes and water banging throughout the floor. It sounded as if someone was doing construction. We actually called the front desk about. It took 35 phone rings for the front desk to answer the phone which was another disappointment
