Marriott San Diego Mission Valley - San Diego

The hotel was really nice. I met my husband there. He was on leave from the military and I hadn't seen him for eight months, so it was a great place to have a mini vacation! The only two things that I did not like was paying money per day to park in the hotel's parking lot and paying for water bottles that were in the room.

Far from downtown, you will need a car.

This is a kids friendly hotel. Upon check in, we were given beach toys for our 2 boys. Had dinner at the restaurant and the hotel was having movie night by the pool showing "Bolt". The room was ok. Found a long hair on the bathroom floor which should have been invisible to the cleaning crew. The pillows were too soft. Overall, it was a nice, kid friendly hotel. Would stay there again.

The hotel was very clean and nice. My only complaint is that they charged $15/day for parking and didn't have free Wi-Fi, that was an extra $12.00/day. But if you don't mind spending the extra cash it was a lovely place.

The room was very nice. The staff was very professional courteous and kind. The bed was very comfortable. The only bad comment I have is the parking. We paid $14 to park off the street but because of space the parking spaces were very small. Only a sub compact car would fit in the spaces. We had a new car and I was fortunate to park next to an SUV that had to take up 1 and a half spaces so I took the other part and my space. There was no way to park in the space right without having your door hit the car next to you or theirs hiting yours.

Stayed for few nights. Place was great. Would stay again.

This hotel is waaay out of the way considering other places in SD I've stayed at. Rooms are average, as is everything else in the place. Not bad, but nothing I'd go to unless I had a meeting in that specific hotel.

room was clean, great location from airport and sea world. One problem we have was the internet connection did not work we have to call tech support, might consider having wireless

this hotel was extremely nice. the pool was amazing and had many things for my sons to play with. the lounge area was/is awesome and so is the gym. exceeded my expectations tremendously. the staff was also friendly and i now foudn the place where i will stay from now on in san diego. i do come often and have stayed at many of the hotels.

The hotel was nice, and had many features that we enjoyed. The elevator was down, so it took quite a while to get an elevator up to our floor/down to the lobby. The restaurant is quite expensive ($20+ per entree), and there were some renovations to the main restaurant being done, so makeshift tables were set up very close to the lobby - in a busy area. The staff was very kind and helpful, and constantly asked if we needed anything. The only exception to that was the bartender, that rarely manned the bar, so the service was very slow. The drinks were very strong though, when you finally got them, which was a plus, since the bar was very expensive as well. Drinks averaged $10. The pool area was amazing and relaxing, and the staff there were friendly, offered prompt service for ordering drinks or food, and towels were constantly replenished. Close to downtown and the beach (~15 mins). My main complaint would be that the maids knock on doors beginning at 8am(!) to ask if they can clean. Put a Do Not Disturb sign on your door if you are not an early riser! :)

The hotel lobby was great, while we were waiting in line to check in we were able to snack on hot smore chocolate chip cookies and milk. The hotel lobby also had complimentary strawberry water. This summer Marriott is having a deal where we got 4 free movie tickets, the only problem was when we got to the movie theather they did not take the tickets. We found out later that only some theathers participate, however if you go to a theather that says they do not take the hollywood money you can buy the tickets and then send in your receipt and the hollywood money coupon and get a rebate. The hotel room was very clean and had nice bath and body shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The pool also looked beautiful. The hotel is also close to many restaurants and malls.

I was very satisfied with the hotel until I discovered a used syringe on the floor next to my bed. I found this extremely disgusting and upsetting. The hotel staff immediately removed it however they were not very apologetic, almost like it wasn't a big deal. They just gave us the option of moving to another room. We felt better in the new room but it was kind of a pain to pack up all of our belongings just to move a few floors up.

The hotel staff, restaurant and rooms are excellent. The pool area is clean and inviting with special hammocks and lounging beds located around the pool deck. We have used this hotel several times and have found the staff service and hotel maintenance to be consistent and pleasant.

The tv wasn't working properly and we were trying to watch history being made. That was very frustrating. it was a nice room, but for the price I don't think we will stay there again.

but seriously, something was up with the air condish~ It didn't get cool and it was rather stuffy. It could have been just our particular room, but overall we had a great stay and I would recommend it.

The quality and location of the Marriott was beyond my expectations. When I walked inside the building I was very impressed by the structure and condition of it. It felt like a very high end five star hotel. The one critique I would have to make, but does not affect my feelings towards the place...because I felt like I was staying at a very high end hotel, that the service would have been more attentive to me without even looking for it. But when ever you approached someone or they saw you in clear sight, they were very helpful and courteous.

The staff upon entering the hotel was very warm and friendly. The room was absolutely perfect and made our honeymoon that much more enjoyable. My husband and I couldn't get enough of the view from our balcony either. We had a fantastic stay and got the star treatment at a very fair price.

the usual things happens on one of the busiest times, graduation. some staff were extremely professional and goes above and beyond the call of duty. others were simply a "blah". 2 out 3 elevators were working. I have reported it a couple of times and received the same response, "I just got in and will investigate further". the entire stay, it would take a little longer to go up or down.

Excellent, friendly service throughout the hotel and restaurant. Pool area is relaxing and pleasant with a hot "hot tub" . Easy access to the freeway and located close to stores. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was nice enough, but was extremely overpriced. We felt we were just paying for the Marriott name. The food was outrageously overpriced as well. There were absolutely no "freebies"--not even coffee makers in the room for a morning cup and no complimentary coffee in the lobby whatsoever. The beds were comfortable, but that wasn't enough to make it worth the money.

This is a nice Marriott Hotel. Very clean with a nice gym and above average pool. It is far enough away from the freeway to be free of traffic and city noise. But a maid woke us up at 8 am just to ask us when we were leaving. We were then locked out of the pool and gym access level prior to our check out time, which was remedied, but a needless hassle.

Its a good hotel but the rooms are small and the beds are getting to soft. food is a alot of money but really good and extremely helpful staff. its not romantic but its nice and does job.

Great for a weekend get-away. It was nice that it was 9min. away from Sea World. Very clean and tidy. Lobby has a warm heart felt feel to it. It's like being at home kind of. Nice lighting and wood funiture. Excellent Stay.

The room was great and the service is outstanding, however when we booked the room, we told them we need a fridge because we have two little ones. When we got there, they said they ran out and we had to wait till one became available. Good thing we had a cooler or all of our baby food would have been spoiled. Plus there was NO MICROWAVE available for us to use to warm up baby food. I had to go across the street to a restaurant to heat up their food.

It was one of the nicest stays I've ever had.

Hotel staff and service was great A+. The amenities were great. Bed were SO comfortable. Only downside the rooms were a bit smaller then I hoped.

Restaurant has limited menu and was very expensive. Long drive on freeways to the beach.

The hotel was in a great area for shopping. Our room was really small, had to squeeze the suitcase between the bed and dresser. I was a bit claustrophobic in the sink/mirror area but it was really clean and the bed was comfortable.
