Das Hotel liegt so, dass man fast alles in Downtown Vancouver fußläufig erreichen kann. Der Hotelempfang war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Fragen wurden sofort beantwortet. Frühstück im "Moxies" zwar gut, aber auch etwas teurer. Alle Zimmer verfügen über Balkon. Die Waschmaschine im Zimmer war für uns auch hilfreich!

The hotel is in the middle of Vancouver's gay village but this shouldn't put anyone off as it's a great location for exploring the city and is next to numerous places to eat and drink. We had an apartment with a balcony which overlooked the sea and mountains, which was amazing, however the only criticism of the room was the tiny bathroom. My other criticism of the hotel itself, was that the staff didn't seem very knowledgeable. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel has an excellent situation, for going downtown or to the beach. The suites are brilliantly equipped and comfortable, and the pool is super on hot days

During my stay, one elevator was broken the entire time I was there. A second was not in service several times. This left just one elevator serving a 20+ story building. The stairways were closed for entry to the floors so elevator waits were up to 10 minutes long. The hotel should have opened up the stairs. It was very bad.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We paid extra for the Penthouse Suite but it was totally worth it. The room was very nice, not too small with a small kitchen and a great big tub. We had a fabulous view of the city from our table and chairs on the balcony. I have to say the outside of the hotel looks old and run down but the inside is very nice. The staff was helpful as well. To those of you that don't know this hotel is in the "gay" area of Vancouver which was perfect for us but might not be for everyone. The restaurant in the hotel was wonderful too, great dessert and drinks.

Human feces on the walls in bathroom, no hot water, parties all night every night and paper thin walls! Great location, but spend more and you'll get a better night sleep!

This is the Sandman on Davie st. There are 2 of them in Vancouver area. The hotel is located in the middle of the gay area around downtiwn Vancouver. Tons of shops, bars, restaurants and more. You get a decent size suite for the money you pay and the staff is very helpful. Clean, convenient and smart location.

The hotel was nice enough. The room was a little dated, but over all not too bad. The one shocking thing was that Davie street is in the rainbow district. It's great if your prepared for it, but if you're not prepared for the leather S&M shop two doors down or have kids with you, it might be a little more then you're ready for. The location however is great. You're walking distance to everything, whether it be granville island or downtown shopping.

The Sandman Suites on Davie is a great deal for a suite hotel. You get much more square footage for your dollar than at other Vancouver hotels. The compact kitchen and in-room washer/dryer can save you a few bucks too. My only complaint was with the "high speed" internet service. It was rather slow and stopped working each night after 9:30 pm or so.

The hotel was not as expected for the money. Non-smoking room was requested and a former smoking room was reserved by the hotel. The room smelled of smoke. The rug was dirty and appeared to have burn marks. There was a nice view, neighborhood was OK, sofa bed was comfortable. Overall experience was only fair. Lana

I love this place, very hip cool decor and clean spacious suites. Great views of the harbor and friendly service. Davie street seems to be one of the most active spots in the city but never felt like the hotel was too noisy or crowded.

The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. The Location was great and within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Vancouver.

While the hotels are somewhat expensive in Vancouver in general, this hotel was not worth the price. It is not very accessible if you bring a car, and then they charged you $22.00 per day to let you park it there. If you are not bringing a car, then you can pull up out front in a taxi and it's not a big deal, but to get to the valets you have to drive up an alley behind the hotel and there are no clear signs telling you where to go. The rooms were okay. The kitchen aspect of the hotel was nice. However, overall the hotel was not worth the price. The neighborhood is pretty rough for that price. We heard police sirens and people yelling throughout most of the night. That's especially poignant considering that we were on the 15th floor! The elevators were very slow, but did have the nice safety feature that you had to use your room card. The fitness room was nice. The pool was closed. The ice-maker just outside of our room was VERY noisy. Luckily, it only ran half of the time.

The room was basically a one bedroom apartment, complete with a full kitchen (including dishwasher) and clothes washer and dryer. All the rooms were renovated three years ago, and are comfortbale. The staff was friendly and responsive, and the location was convenient to downtown amenities. The hot water was somewhat erratic in the morning. Ask for a water view - spactacular! We will stay next time we're in Vancouver.

This is an ok hotel. It is certainly a three star with a kitchen, but it is the same cost as a four star (without a kitchen). Having a kitchen for making breakfast is nice even though there is great choices of food on Davie. I paid for an ocean view, however, the ocean view on the 11th floor was not that great. I asked the hotel for a better room and they gave me a room on the 21st floor facing the city. The city view seems to be nicer than the ocean views. The hotel rooms were just ok overall, however, the very nice staff made up for the hotel.

The View from the 21st floor was great! the Location was awesome within' walking distance of almost everything! Davie is the busiest street in Vancouver you won't be left with nothing to do! it was great! My girlfriend loved it!

I have stayed at this hotel several times now while in Vancouver on business and have been increasingly impressed iwth the hotel and the wonderful staff. AFter only two visits, I was recognized on checkin by the front desk staff and they have been very accomodating on both stays.

The Sandman Suites on Davie is well stocked with a small kitchenette and all you need to set up house on a short trip. We were only there for a short weekend trip so we didn't make full use of the facility. The spa and the restaurant were wonderful.

This appears to be a high rise apartment building that was converted. Our "suite" seemed to be a small 1-bedroom apartment, with a reasonably fully equipped kitchen (although we could never get the dishwasher to work). The bathroom was what one would get in a cheap apartment. On the corner of the 17th floor, we had an outstanding view from our balcony. The outside pool was kept at a nice temperature for our September stay; don't know how the winter season works. Excercise equipment was good and the spa was definitely above the norm.

Travelling with a three year old, we like to stay in suite hotels so we can watch movies in the bedroom after she goes to bed on the pullout couch. The room was clean and nice, although the AC in the bedroom was very loud and the bed was just so-so comfortable. The area is near to a lot of things (walked to Yaletown, Stanley Park, the Granville Island Ferry, and Robson street) but is near some adult shops. Also, our confirmation said check in was 3 pm but it is actually 4 pm--and when we arrived at 3 there wasn't a room ready. If you are driving, valet parking is behind the hotel and was handy.

This hotel really exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, anything you need, they've got it. There was a situation with the elevators, however, and often had to wait more than 10 minutes for an elevator in the un-air conditioned lobby. The room was a good size and had an amazing view as well as a thoroughly equipped kitchen. Just be aware that this hotel is in the very heart of Vancouver's gay community and is located very close to a lot of rather loud dance clubs.

Great location to walk to English Bay, the Aquabus to Granville Island and downtown, but not a good choice for families. The King "suite" was tiny and barely big enough for everyone to be in the living room at the same time (3 of us). Also, the neighborhood is adult-entertainment centered (adult video, lingerie shops, etc...)

The hotel was a good place to stay near great restaurants. We stayed here during our honeymoon and would recommend it to others. Just be aware the hotel is a little close to the gay side of town. This shouldn't distract from the hotel, however. We had a great stay while we were there!

Noisy hotel, you can hear EVERYTHING

One of the best hotel experiences my girlfriend and I have ever had. The rooms are amazing, particularly for the price. The neighborhood felt safe and vibrant. The one bad thing was the supposed "high speed internet." It never worked consistently, and when it did it was painfully slow. Not a big issue, but when it's your only means of communication to the states it can be frustrating.

Position centrale et proche de nombreuses activités.

Cet hôtel est très bien placé car il est entouré de magasins. On peut donc utiliser la petite cuisine sans problème. Il n'est pas loin du centre-ville. Il faut demander une chambre en hauteur car la rue est très animée. Le seul gros problème c'est le chauffage qui fait un bruit certain dans la chambre.
