Britannia Airport Hotel South Manchester - Manchester

Das Hotel macht insgesamt einen renovierungsbedürftigen Eindruck. Wäre angesichts des Preises aber ok, wenn es sauber wäre. Leider sah unser Spiegel aber so aus, als hätte jemand drauf gesessen und auf einem Nachtschrank war flächendeckend eine auskristallisierende Flüssigkeit. Im Zimmer war ein solch starker Geruch, dass wir vor dem Schlafen zwei Stunden gelüftet haben.

Direkt an Autobahn, daher hoher Geräuschpegel Ungemütliche und laute Lobby Alles ein bisschen schäbig Für eine kurze Nacht ist es aber okay

Our stay at this hotel was not a very experience, the hotel has not been kept very well, at the day of the check in they put us up at the 7th floor, and then we found out that none of the 3 elevators were working, after checking inside of the room we found that the toilet does not flush, not wanting to drag our suitcases down 7 floors we decided to live with it since we are only there for one nite, the next day we got up at 7 am to leave for the airport just to find out that there is no running water, a call to the front desk revealed that they will not have have running water until 9am, So No Shower either. I would not recomend this hotel.

This hotel is quite conveniently located next to a junction near the M60 Manchester ring road and next to a road straight into city centre. Though the deco and fixtures/fittings are now outdated somewhat, the room is reasonably clean. There was free wifi internet access though the website said there wasn't any. Wifi connection could be obtained upstairs in the room too, though the speed is slower. The lift couldn't go to the top floor and we had to walk up one floor by the stairs. But overall was good value for money.

The first room given was a smoking room and was a bit dated but we were moved to a non-smoking room on a different floor that was much newer and cleaner. The staff were excellent.

It was just a short overnight stay en route to airport. En suite room was nice and adequate with TV & tea/coffee making facilities, no meals were taken. Car was able to be parked overnight just outside the main doors.

hotel was basic and would not go here if not on offer.very disappointed with service and quality of food in restaurant.

I received some kind of bites from the bed.

The room was well-appointed, clean and quiet, in spite the hotel's location at the intersection of busy roads, near the airport. I'd stay here again

Not very impressed with the room service by the second night of stay the bed sheets were not changed even though it was dirty. There was no fridge in the rooms. The lift was not working prperly to and from the 3rd floor were we stayed. Even though we complained almost every day but it still wasnt repaired throughout the 6nights we stayed there.

Due to the hotels position near to main roads I was expecting a disturbed night, but unusually for a hotel I slept all through the night with no disturbances. Stayed for two nights both good, and will definitely go back when visiting family who live nearby.

Might look from the outside like a former soviet working class hero's lodge. But thats the only similarity. Everthing which is announced is present and is working and the staff is friendly and helpful. For the rate, which includes WLAN access (tand which is really working), you will have difficulties to find a 24-hour access to the internet alone.

We stayed one night prior to a flight from Manchester. Given the price we paid we thought the rom was very good - recently refurbished - bright and modern. The shower was not very powerful, but adequate. Unfortunately the mattress was in dire need of replacement - the springs were very evident with little padding over them.

Good location and parking. Room comfortable and spacious for a standard. Hectic at breakfast altough staff were very good, food hot and good selection. We will definetly stay here again as we visit family in Manchester all the time.

I would imagine that this hotel is mainly used by travellers going to or coming from Manchester Airport, or, as in our case meeting family that were arriving in Manchester. As such, it is a comfortable, clean hotel, and I would use it again. My main concern in writing this review , is, that if people realise that is is excellent value for money, the price will go up!.

Rather than compare this to a 5* country retreat, I'm going to pitch it to a budget chain hotel as the price was lower than these for this location. Room was clean and comfortable and easily comparable to the budget chains. It's an airport stop over hotel, so people are moving about at all hours, so if you're a light sleeper it may be a bit noisy. I really didn't notice it though.

due to excell airlines going bump i could not stay and had to lose my room for the night as had to travel to gatwick instead, but have stayed before and i think it is a great hotel and convenient for airport

Enjoyed the hotel and room service. The shuttle however wasn't frequent enough. I had to wait 1hr for it at airport and had to get to the airport earlier than I wanted because next shuttle was to late.

We had read other reviews, and we're preparing for a lousy stay. But, it was a great place. We got in after midnight, and had to leave early the next morning, but we enjoyed our stay.

This is a basic hotel which is good for a stop over on the way to another destination. It was average at best.

I needed a hotel room while I was laid over in Manchester, UK. I reviewed the room on the website, and it met my need for a 24 hours shuttle service, and nice looking room. Well when we arrived and reached our room, it was nothing like the picture, and aside of the fact that the beds were made the room didn't even look like it had been cleaned. I called to the front desk and they put me in another hotel room which was much nicer than my first room (and looked like what I had seen online) but I was so creeped out by the first room, that I spread my beach towel out on top of the bed to sleep because I didn't trust the cleanliness of the room.

The hotel is old and in need of a lot of repair. The Airport name is misleading, since the airport is a fair taxi ride away. The restaurant was probably the best part of the hotel. The 5:30 AM wakeup call came at 5:00. I would look hard for another place to stay the next time I need to stay in Manchester.

Could be a good hotel with renovation and responible management and better housekeeping. A new manager promised improvements but will also need new investment in capital to be worth recomending.

Notre chambre était située dans la partie la plus ancienne de l'hôtel, mais elle était propre.

situato in posizione strategica tra il centro cittadino (20min. di bus) e l'aeroporto, ben collegato dai servizi pubblici. struttura non nuovissima, pub moderno e ben tenuto (con pool, giochi, TV LCD da 50 pollici dove si possono seguire gli eveti sportivi) frequentato nelle giornate di campionato dai tifosi, sopratutto famiglie, del Manchester United. arredamento camere vecchio, bagno piccolo e scomodo, materasso troppo morbido. pulizia generale scadente.
