I absolutely love the Peabody Orlando. As soon as you drive up, the only word that comes to mind is luxurious. It is clean, beautiful, luxurious. My only complaint would be the noise. I just took a night to relax with my husband away from the kids and I hardly slept because of the noise. I could hear every time a toilet was flushed, every time somebody took a shower and every time a door was slammed from the surrounding rooms. It's like the walls are made of paper. I was woken up several times and at some points I was dreaming with running water because that's what I was actually hearing. Other than that, everything was perfect.

As usual, the peabody was perfect. Great location, service, staff etc. The service charge (in addition to the hotels.com room charge) is slightly frustrating but the hotel is such good value that it is ok. Would highly recommend the peabody to anybody visiting Orlando.

The hotel was just okay. We expected more from the Peabody. Once I realized they're building another next door, I knew why. The hotel was packed for varies conferences & the elevators were always full. The staff were great! I would recommend the hotel, but not to those wanting a 5 star hotel.

This is a very nice very expensive hotel right next to the Orange County Convention center. On top of the high raye they also chage a "facilities" fee (which I find ridiculous). I would only stay here if I was attending a conference in the convention center and needed to be VERY close.

I have the same complaint as the others. The valet parking is terrible. They LOST our car one of the days and we had to wait an hour for them to find it. THEN on another occasion we needed the car and they pulled it up and then someone took it straight back to the valet area within 5 minutes because they thought it had been sitting a while not realizing it had just been pulled up for us resulting in another long wait. THEN they had the nerve to give us dirty looks when we did not tip them upon picking up the cars on those specific occasions. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean. Room service was wonderful. Front desk staff was also fabulous. Once the parking situation is cleared up I'd be happy to stay again. I'm not certain I would bother again until that occurs though.

Bewertet von Gilbert aus Orlando am Mai 22, 2009
I've been to this hotel many times, and that's why I call it home. Much of the staff there has been working for the hotel for a few years. Which shows that they treat their employees well, which also means they treat their guest even better. Even though the hotel is going through some new construction and building in addition, they still manage to keep all their hospitality and charm. This is deftly not a Motel 6 experience. And if that is what you're used to this is deftly not the hotel for you. But if you're used to being remembered and treaty like a time honored friend in a five-star setting. Then this is the hotel for you.

Bewertet von Shaun aus Ft. Lauderdale am Mai 9, 2009
The Peabody hotel isn't bad, but it was much less than we were expecting for the price and the rating. First of all, they had no on-site parking. This meant that every time we wanted to leave the hotel, we had to wait 15+ minutes for the valet. Even when we called down in advance as they had suggested, we had to wait. The room was very nice, but one of the things we look for in a hotel room and one of the reasons we chose a higher end hotel was a clean bathroom...something the Peabody was lacking. It wasn't necessarily dirty, but it was in need of updating. They do have a TV in the bathroom, but it's placement made it pretty worthless. Speaking of clean, the rooms were very clean, but the housekeeping staff didn't understand that some people like to sleep past 8am. It was around that time that we were woken up by what sounded like someone swirling marbles in a plastic trash can. On the subject of rude awakenings, in place of an alarm clock, they were kind enough to wake us with an air raid siren. Apparently, it didn't occur to the staff to notify the people that didn't check in that day that they were doing a fire drill. In my panicked state, I picked up my girlfriend, threw her over my shoulder, and ran down 3 flights of stairs along with many other confused guests in their pajamas. Staying at the Peabody was an adventure...

Quick and easy check in,but you have to pay $16 a night more on arrival, for internet, towels, paper etc. and you cannot get out of it. Also you have to have valet parking at the moment as the carpark is a building site which is $20 a night, but we moaned and only had to pay for two nights. The hotel is fabuolus very clean and shinny all the time, you have to see the duck parade it is so cute. Food in the hotel is good too and reasonably priced for a hotel as are the drinks. Just a short walk to many shops bar and restaurants up the cleaner nicer end of International Drive. I would stay at this hotel again without a doubt and i would recommend it to others.

Bewertet von Joey aus Pensacola am Apr 14, 2009
There are too many hidden costs with this hotel. You pay your fee on Hotels.com and when you check in you sign a paper to pay $15.50 for incidentals. They tell you this was noted by Hotels.com ... but I did not see it anywhere. For $15.50 you get 2 small bottles of water, a shoe shine (that I did not use), wireless internet, use of the workout room, some trolley tickets (I did not use) and coffee in the AM. Went for coffee at 0832 on Saturday AM was told the complimentary coffee shuts down at 0830 but I was more than welcome to pay for a cup in the restaurant. No coffee maker in the room. When you check out you get to pay another $20.00 for valet parking ... this was the only option ... I asked at check in if I could park my own car ... was told no. Anyway the Hotel is nice ... just too many hidden costs.

This hotel was horrible from the moment we pulled up and were turned away by the valet. We had to park a half a mile away and take a shuttle to and from the hotel every time we wanted to leave. They gave away our room and put us in a room with two queens. After entering our room and getting settled, another couple walked right in with a key from the front desk. Most suprising! We waited three hours for the manager to bring us new keys because ours were cancelled. We went to get something to eat at the hotel 24 hour restaurant and it was closed. Nothing went right at this hotel. The Peabody should be ashamed. They are not what they used to be.

A "resort fee" of $15.98 per day per room is automatically added to your bill. This covers internet which I did not use, fitness center which I did not use since I was there on business and 2 bottles of water each day. The water that was there on Wednesday and not used was still there on Sunday but I was told they replace them daily even if full. That is not the case. The hotel is very convenient to the Convention Center but a bit too isolated if you don't have a car.

very convenient hotel to the convention center which is why we selected it. The room was nice but not spectacular. It was extremely clean and the staff was exceptional, however we paid for the club level and were very disappointed with the staffing since they were rarely around and the availability of drinks and food was sporadic at best. Many times there was no milk/creamers available for the tea/coffee...desserts were supposed to be available between 8-9 pm and we went to the club room at 8:20pm and found one leftover cookie laying on an otherwise empty dish and nobody ever returned to make sure the dish was refilled! Overall, the hotel was extremely convenient, the staff was exceptional with the exception of the club level.

We requested a King room, got a two Double room. One bed was unable to be slept in due to the broken down condition of the mattress. Extra twenty-seven dollar plus tax, parking and accommodation fee at check in. Parking right now is off site about a mile away due to parking garage being constructed. Cleaning crew was so loud at 8:30 we could not sleep in and enjoy the 12:00 checkout time. Good view. We have stayed here before and really enjoyed it. This time not so great. Sent in a complaint and the manager directly contacted me and offered a two night stay for free as compensation. Will take them up on it! The ducks were cute. Couldn't wait to get to the fountain for the food.

Bewertet von Michael aus Tampa am Feb 18, 2009
The Peabody Hotel in Orlando was nice, but it is going through an expansion phase and is under construction adding onto the existing structure. Our 16th floor view was shared with the overhead crane operator, which distracted from what could have been a decent view of the surrounding Orlando hub-bub. I was also disappointed that there was not a coffee pot in the room.

Well, i was actually a little disappointed with the hotel. When we first arrived we were instructed that we had to park in a parking garage around the corner from the hotel. Grant it, they provided a shuttle service from the parking garage back to the hotel. I wish this was noted on the website that way i probably would not have booked my reservation with them. Once i checked in they made me prepay for my self-parking for the parking garage upon checking out they made me pay again at the garage although i had a receipt showing that i previously paid. The staff at the peabody refunded the money back. When i booked the reservation it stated online that i was going to receive a free bottle of champaign. Well needless to say it wasnt there, i called the front desk and they said they have sent up! i had to call back a hour later b/c they never brought it up. I really expected more out of the peabody.

We were surprised to find a room at the Peabody at such a reasonable price, and learned it was all in the timing, as no conventions were in town the week we stayed. All in all I would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Upon arrival on 1/16/09 at 4:30 PM I was advised that my room was not ready even though check in is 3:00PM. I was in a hurry for a business meeting, needed to shower and change prior to the meeting. I was informed at the front desk if I am in a hurry I can shower in the gym. Only after I requested to cancel my reservation did they find me a room immediately. It took 45 minutes for me to retrieve my car from the valet. I suggest if you are on a business trip with little time to spear this is NOT the hotel for you. Yes it is a beautiful hotel but they have a serious problem maintaining the services that you would expect.

Usually we have only great things to say about our stay at the Peabody. On our last visit, we had two rooms. In the second room, where my teens were staying, there was a problem with the air conditioning and it got very hot in the room. We called down to the front desk for help, and their answer was to send up a fan. It took two more calls before anyone finally showed up several hours later to fix what was a simple problem with the HVAC. The engineer said that he had never been dispatched, and the night manager was not helpful.
