Riviera Hotel And Casino - Las Vegas

Für ein Hotel in Las Vegas hatten wir mehr erwartet. Positiv war ein echt früher Check In - 11Uhr!

Das Hotel ist riesig und mit dem angeschlossenen KAsino auch echt etwas extrem, weil alles blinkt und leuchtet. Aber unser Zimmer im Monaco Tower war total super, renoviert und gemuetlich. Pool konnte man auch benutzen, Handtuecher gabs inklusive. Parken war umsonst und auch kein Problem, da das Hotel ein grosses Parkhaus hat. Das einzige Bloede war eine zusaetzlich zu zahlende Energy Charge von 4 Dollar pro Tag. Aber bei dem billigen Gesamtpreis kann man sich dartueber auch nicht beschweren!!

der Aufenthalt war absolut i.O. Man muss lediglich aufpassen, dass alles zusätzliche extra kostet (z.B. Music Channel)

TOP HOTEL, neues Zimmer, alles sauber und renoviert. Plasma TV,fast neues Bad, sehr nette Servicekräfte, kann das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Sehr großes Zimmer. Das beste Hotelbett in dem ich je geschlafen hab (und das sind einige). Toller großer Flat-TV. Bad gut. Man sieht dem Hotel an, dass es in die Jahre gekommen ist. Jedoch werde ich es jederzeit wieder buchen, denn das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist herausragend gut.

Komfortables Hotel am nördlichen Strip. Die Zimmer waren sauber, aber sehr dunkel. Sehr positiv war, dass ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer war und man seine Getränke kühlen konnte. Leider liegt das Hotel, wie schon erwähnt, etwas abseits der Attraktionen, aber mit einem Mietauto oder der Las Vegas Tram sind die anderen Casinos zügig erreichbar.

This hotel is on the north end of the strip where there is not much happening. Cab fair to the center of the strip is pricey. The signature room was clean and remodeled, but the toilet ran continuously and the safe did not work. When I called the front desk I could not get through so I went down and they said they would fix it and it never did get fixed. I just ended up getting the run around from them. My room tripled in price once I upgraded from the room I reserved through hotels.com which was not remodeled. For the same price I could have stayed at the center of the strip and saved a lot of money in cab fair. Overall service was poor.

I always try to stay at the Rivera Hotel as it is close to my business. They have upgraded the rooms, service is outstanding and most especially the front desk. The restaurant 'Kadys' is excellent. They do need more staff but it is worth the extra wait and prices are affordable.

So when I looked at the rating of the hotel i was a little scared to be honest. But i was looking for cheap and it was in my price range. Honestly the Riviera overall was not so bad. The room was amazingly nice alot nicer then i had expected. The beds were comfortable which is a big thing for me. The hotel was clean and honestly what really more do you need. Your never in the room for very long anyway. I reccomend this hotel for anyone looking for cheap its a real deal.

It is an older Hotel Casino friendly staff clean room to far from the Strip and other attractions

When we arrived for the APA Championships we were tired from a 8 hour car trip and cringed when we walked in and saw the long check-in line and only 3 people working the front counter. We expected to wait for at least an hour.....Yay - the Kiosk check-in booths were open and we were in our room within 15 minutes. The beds were awesome and the rooms freshly remodeled. They were very gracious and gladly accomodated our request for an adjoining room with our sister. Now, if only they had been able to accomodate our smoking habit! As lovely as the rooms were, as 3 smokers we opted to move into the "smoking" tower......they are not yet renovated, but perfectly comfortable and certainly worth it to not spend $20 in the casino every time we wanted to smoke!

The only problem we had was at check-in, we waited over an hour and a half to be checked into the hotel. There was a billards tournament going on in the hotel the weekend we were there. I felt they could have had more people working at the check in desks or at least if the clerks were on break they should not have been just standing there watching the three or four clerks who were working while they were just standing around talking to each other as the line of people who needed to be checked in went all the way back to the entrance of the hotel. Otherwise our overall stay at the hotel was a good experience.

Firstly, when I checked in, they gave me a 2-room suite. Pretty nice deal for the cheap rate I got on here. I booked the morning that I drove to Vegas. It was a really nice, clean room. I hardly spent any time in it though. It is on the northern end of the strip, so a little walk to the big-name hotels - but not a big deal for me, especially if you drive up there. I enjoyed the stay. Buffet was not that great though - check for others in town.

When we arrived to check into our hotel, there was a two hour wait, and then when I did get to the check in window the lady that was assisting me was not the friendliest of people. She was not nice and then went on to inform me that we were going to be charged an extra amount due to our children, that is ridiculous, when we pay for the room and it has two beds, I was also informed that I would be charged an extra fee of $3.95 per day. This should have been calculated into my room fee when I made my reservation. The room was old and the bathroom was quite small and needed to have some work done on it. I would never stay there again.

good hotel just need more personal at front desk for faster check ins/outs

There were over 20 of us staying there for a wedding and none of us were happy. I went to the management for the bride to complain that their toilet was making noise and I was told "They wqere upgraded already what do you want" (the upgrade they were given was from a room without a fridge to one with)So when the AC stopped working we chose not to report it. We ordered room service and when we put the tray in the hall for pick up (as we were told to do) it took 17 hours for it to be removed. The bride and groom were given a bottle of champagne for having the wedding at the hotel but were charged 5 dollars for the glasses. When we first got to the hotel I went to the desk to see when the earliest I could check in was. The woman told me 11am so when I went back at 11 I spoke to the other woman and when I told her that I was told that we should be able to check in at 11 she said "That's a lie. You were never told that. Nobody here would tell you that." And when I pointed out the woman who told me I was told to leave the line and they would check me in in a "few hours".

okay for the money. casino is okay

Check-in (Front desk)slow and always congested. Not enough personnel. Hotel charges high fee (by he hour) for late check out. Did not honor the rate booked thru hotels.com for an extra day.

my room was completely renovated and new. It far surpassed my expectations! I was not impressed with the coffee shop. But I would definately stay there again.

Coffee durint the Trade Show was the BEST Casino Coffee I have had in YEARS

Older LV hotel, but they do not play on the nostalgia. HVAC vents in room were filthy...so was carpet. I did not meet "one" staff member who appeared 'happy' to be working there & serving guests...from the hotel staff to the casino staff. Cocktail staff could have come straight out of "Tales From the Crypt". Will not go back.

The service was awesome. It was a fast check in. The rooms are so updated and very modern. Very clean and comfy! I will return.

The only problem we had was on the last night before checkout, our room was not made. We asked for a fresh set of towels and the maid interpreted that as to not make the room. We just wanted new towels since they had not made our room yet. Language issue.

The Riviera wasn't horrible . . . but it wasn't wonderful. What we were looking for was a fairly cheep 4 nights then to go to a nicer hotel for the last few . . . we stayed at Planet Hollywood for those. The tv at the Riviera had 5 channels, PH had every concievable channel, so . . . you get what you pay for. Overall it wasn't horrible, it was clean, and we had no major problems, but again, it wasn't the best place we've ever stayed. I will say one thing . . . The bed was THE MOST COMFORTABLE bed i've ever had in a hotel. so thats it!

It's ok

This hotel should close for a bit and clean the entire place. -The walls are not clean. -Hair was in the shower from a previous guest. -The hall to the hotel room had ketchup or blood all over the light. -The ice bucket had a tissue left in it from a previous guest. -Not one trash can was lined with a trash bag. -The wall paper in the room was peeling off. -The A/C worked, but not well. The cleanliness of the hotel was extremely bad, but to top that to get to the hotel room you pass an area of shops. The shops are kiosk style and the workers try to stop you every time you pass. You would think after walking pass the same sales person four times they would stop asking, but they don't.

The room was great. It was very clean and kept up. The room is HUGE, parking good and free. Not much we didn't like. We'll be back for sure and would definately recommend it.

One open counter at check in and checkout wait time 15 minutes. At 1:00 o'clock at night the Room was not ready for checkin, wait time 1 hour.

its big, infact very big, there's loads of shops, and gambling everywhere. There are half a dozen places to eat, none are special, although the one meal we had in the hotel was ok. The big problem is that punters are allowed to smoke, anywhere, the smell of cigars is all over the hotel, by the pool, in the restaurant, infact even in your none smoking room. If you can put up with that, you'll have a ball in vegas. The riviera is ideally situated at one end of the strip, you'll feel very safe, even at night, The deuce, the bus up and down the strip, stops right outside the hotel every 10 minutes, and is 3 dollars a trip, to anywhere.

I had to change rooms 3 times! 1st room bathtub did not drain and the air conditioner rattled could not get good nights sleep. 2nd room shower door did not work, room was very dusty, and curtains have seen better days! 3rd room which was my final night there was OK until the morning when I took a shower I saw a roach crossing the ceiling. So I would never stay there ever again! YOU get what you PAY for. I guess......

The room was decent for being at the low end of the strip for as little as we paid for it. The beds were small but very comfortable. Liked that there was an IPOD player in the room. Very few TV channels to choose from, that was a bit lame. Both the sink and the bathtub took a LONG time to drain, was a bit worried that the pipes were going to clog. Overall it was a decent room for a decent price

As soon as we checked into the room, we realized the bathroom and the sink drain were clogged, and there was no refrigerator. The hotel also charged $19.99 for using wireless internet even though other motels provided free internet service.

Our room was so big, that I took pictures to show my friends. The price was great and the room exceeded my expections. I have already recommended this Hotel to my bargin hunter friends.

we were a little worried having read multiple reviews. i guess we are easy to please. we didn't eat at the hotel but the casino was small and friendly. we were glad to get back there after the harrowing crowds on the strip. would definitely stay again. the fridge in the room was an added bonus.

My husband and I live in Las Vegas, but when our a/c went out, we wanted to stay somewhere cheap until it was repaired. I have had some friends stay at the Riviera before and so I knew that it was not the nicest place in town, but we just wanted someplace clean and cool. When we got there, it was a long hike from the parking lot to the front desk and then another 15 minute wait in line to get to check in. When we finally got to a front desk clerk, she was so nice. We chatted for a bit while she entered our info into the computer. She ended up upgrading our room to one of the renovated rooms. She also mentioned something that I thought was important for people to remember: it is a long line at registration because they had to lay off employees to get the room rates so low. Yes the line is long, but she had a great point. anyway, our room was fantastic. We had a view of the strip and the pool, they had a live band going at the pool when we arrived. Our room had a big comfy bed, nice furnishings and a flat panel tv. I was SUPER impressed. This is not the nicest place in town, but you will end up spending five times the price to get anything nicer.
