Friendly staff, good location, a bit too small for real comfort, especially for more than one night. If microwave and fridge are provided, as they were, this signals that the room might be used for more than a one night visit. And that says the room should be larger and more commodius. Otherwise, omit the amenities and reduce the price for a one night visit.

Nice hotel, would stay there again, friendly staff.

this hotel has an smell that cant go away, i went to front desk and the lady there gave me a big bottle of green stuff to spray in the room so i did and it just made the room worse i went and told her she said nothing she could do. So i sprayed my nice perfume which cost me 60 dollars in the room .just to be able to sleep if i had to stay in athens again i would rather sleep under a bridge.if there was no other hotel available. I hope no one else has this bad time as i have had.

this hotel had the worst smell in my life i went to front desk and told them they gave me a bottle of green stuff and i was told to spray it in the room and it made it worse so we lefted and came back because we had to sleep, so i sprayed my $60 bottle of perfume inside so we could sleep i would not tell any of my friends to stay there. I was just surprised when they didnt have another room available.

Our stay was great. It was convienent for us. We didn't have to travel out of the way to find the hotel. It was nice and quiet and the room was very tidy and clean.

The days inn in Athens was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It wasn't clean at all anywhere. And we had at least to random unsafe people basically stalk us outside our room and ask for money. Do NOT stay here.

I asked for a non-smoking room. You could smell smoke when entering. They did volunteer to change the room..but at one in the morning it wasn't possible. They accounted it to a room remodeled that used to be a smoking room. If it was remodeled, it was a poor quality job. The personnel seemed nice enough but the quality of the room was not where I would want to stay again.

I was on the run from hurricane gustav and ran into the roach motel. Now granted it was safer in Days Inn than New Orleans, I will just say that this hotel is in need of cleaning, up-dating and a good exterminator. On the good side the air conditioner worked fabulously and it was close to fastfood places.

First and importantly, most of the hotel staff was very kind and helpful. I called to confirm our late check-in the day before and was intially told to call back 3 hours later to talk to someone 'who knew about that stuff.' When I called back, the gentlemen told me 'You paid through Hotels.com so it doesn't matter to us if you show up or not, you've already paid for the room.' When we arrived at 1 a.m. after a 6 hour drive with 4 kids, we opened the door to our hotel rooms to find the a/c was turned completely off. The rooms were smotheringly hot and smelled stale. It took a couple of hours for the rooms to cool off to the point of comfortable, but the stale smell did not leave. There was a sticky substance on the top of the refrigerator and a dirty shower in one room and toothpaste in the sink of the other. The floors seemed clean, but we couldn't help but wonder how clean the linens were, if the room had areas that had obviously not been cleaned. The hotels in the area were all booked up, so we were stuck. The ice machine near our room wasn't working. The breakfast was good and the front desk staff as well as the breakfast room staff were all helpful and nice. I had friends following us done a few days later and told them to NOT stay in this hotel.

Average hotel. Pool seemed to be closed, except when people asked to use it. Rooms were alright.

The room was big,roomie,and clean.Freshly painted.
