Sofitel Los Angeles - Los Angeles

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Sofitel in Los Angeles. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war schön hell mit Blick auf die Hollywood Hills. Alles war sehr sauber! Das Restaurant ist absolut zu empfehlen. Alles hat super lecker geschmeckt. Der Roomservice war auch in Ordnung und ging recht fix. Das einzig klitzekleine Negative ist, dass einem das valet parking jeden Tag in Rechnung gestellt wird. Dennoch ist das Hotel absolut empfehlenswert. Wir werden sicher wieder ein Sofitel wählen, soviel steht schon einmal fest!

Service,Zimmer alles wunderbar.Begeistert vor allem durch die Super-Lage: In wenigen Fahrminuten in Hollywood, am Rodeo Drive oder Sunset Plaza.Auch Einkaufszentren und Santa Monica zum Baden sind gut erreichbar. Toll : Beverly Center und Marshalls direkt gegenüber.

Once you get past the beautiful lobby you realise that this is not another super cool LA hotel. Its tries hard but compared to the Mondrian or SLS it falls down badly. The staff try and the fitting are ok but having Americans greeting you with 'bonjour' and 'bonsoir', really? Too pretentious to take seriously. Also it stand overlooking the Beverly Centre mall and is in a no mans land when it comes to location. Its not elegant enough to touch the Beverly Hilton nor trendy enough too touch the boutique offerings of LA, in short it doesnt know what it is but five star it isnt!

Very nice hotel. HDTV in the room. Lots of shopping and some fast food nearby. There did not seem to be a large variety of sit-down restaurants within walking distance. The hotel restaurant was quite good, but if it isn't to your liking, you may have to drive or take a cab. Our even numbered room faced a busy street with sirens, so you may want to try an odd numbered room.

Customer service needs improvement and consistency. Stayed at hotel on two different occassions within a months time. A visit to the gym turned out to be an experience of selective ID of guest instead of all guest. Witness one guest get turned away because he did not have hotel key readily available while at the same time other guest were not requested or asked to show room key at all. This similar incident occurred involving myself just the prior day. Wanted to speak to hotel manager and did not receive any report in return.

We received 5 star service--everyhting was clean, comfortable and the check in and check out process was amazingy efficient as well as the valet service. Great location!

Booked a Prestige Suite with a beautiful view of the Hollywood Hills. Everything about the room was perfect and the hotel staff from check in to valet were very friendly and helpful as always. Breakfast is wonderful and a great value as most breakfasts include juice and coffee and a complimentary basket of breakfast breads. Valet parking is a bit pricey, but it's Beverly Hills and the location is excellent. You can walk to restaurant row on La Cienaga for fine dining. We enjoyed Lawry's Prime Rib this trip, but recommend Fogo de Chao and Arnie Morton's as well for great dinners.

The Sofitel LA was fabulous!! The staff treated me like royalty. The room was very well appointed with every creature comfort imaginable. Made it very hard to leave and come home. If I go back to LA, I will definitely stay there again.

Hotel location terrible. Need a car or a taxi to get anywhere and given the LA traffic this is frustrating. Also on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays the hotel is very noisy. They have a night club and play very loud music on the outdoor patio and if your room is located on this side of the hotel you can hear it until 2:00 AM. Would not stay here again.

We stayed at this fabulous hotel as part of our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed our stay . The staff are exceptionally helpful, the rooms were gorgeous and even the pool area was luxorious. We had breakfast and dinner most evenings there and the food and service were excellent. The location is excellent if you want to go shopping - its right across from the Beverly Centre .I cannot recommend this hotel enough and i sincerely hope to return there one day as we were completely spoiled by the staff from the moment we arrived to the day we left.

I always stay at Sofitel all over the US . They are the BEST HOTEL !

The hotel is gorgeous and the staff aims to please.

The hotel staff were very helpful and pretty much always available. The location was great for the business trip I was doing, and the room was very good, albeit a bit small. Certainly more than enough for what I needed. I would have loved to have internet access included, but that was not the case. The cleaning staff were very courteous and very helpful even when I requested a scale to weigh a package! Compared to a lot of hotels in the area, the price was not too bad either.

stayed with my fiance at the Sofitel for a night this past weekend to get away from her apartment... unbelievably comfortable bed and the rain shower with the window looking out over the bedroom was fantastic. we were facing the Beverly center right over the Stone Rose and it was LOUD. created a fun game to smoke cigarettes out in front of the club and try to figure out if we could get in.

We had a harrowing taxi cab ride from LAX, just barely avoiding a crash. The front desk staff was extremely concerned when we told them of this experience. They sent us a beautiful fruit platter with a note stating that they hoped that our stay at the hotel would be a wonderful experience, and that we would enjoy our visit to Los Angeles in spite of the cab incident. We very much appreciated this kindness, and would highly recommend this hotel.

I have travelled extensively and know what a 5 star hotel should be. The Sofitel LA is a 5 star hotel. Sure the valet and hotel restaurant are pricey but that is to be expected. The hotel is immaculate and all employees are not only friendly but helpful. The fitness center was wonderful and the pool though small was clean and very nice. The only thing bad I can say about this hotel is that it is situated in a busy area close to a hospital so although our room was on the 9th floor and with a view of the Hills versus the Beverly Center you could easily hear the sirens and ambulance as they drove down. I believe the Hotel could remedy this with insulated windows/doors as the french door as not insulated. Would stay again and will stay at the other Sofitel hotels as the rooms are tremendous. We stayed in the prestige suite which was 850squ.ft.

No coffee maker in the room. Have to go to the lobby's "coffee station". Regular coffee pot was empty at 8:00am. No top sheet, just a huge comforter. LA Times at some doors, and not at others. But we asked for one, and got it. Restaurant is very pricey and very average, except for breakfast, which is good. Waiters seem hesitant and not very familiar with things. Bar/club is ok, but disappointing because the television sets don't work...NBA playoffs were on...bartender told us the owner didn't buy cable. Bummer.

A good quality hotel, that provides a clean and comfortable environment. Helpful staff, with a nice modern feel to it. I would stay there again.

I was in the Opera Suite, a 2-room suite with a two-part open-air balcony on the Penthouse (10th) floor. It was definitely the nicest and most luxurious hotel I have ever stayed at. There were a few minor blemishes such as the LCD tv not working very well in the bedroom (but the second one in the living area worked fine), a few feathers (from the maid's dusting) on the floor, and some wooden furniture that was showing signs of age, especially around the edges. When I called guest services with a technical question, they sent maintenance right up, which I sincerely appreciated. They also called me right back after researching an issue I asked them a question about. My view was opposite the eight story Beverly Center with a far off view of downtown L.A.'s skyscrapers. There was a separate standing shower and bathtub with L'Occitane toiletries and a small LCD screen. The mini-bar was fully stocked although I didn't take anything out of it as the prices were very high. The wireless high-speed internet is through T-Mobile's hotspot and worked very well. Parking is valet only and your options are limited if you intend to bring a car to the hotel. Overall, a wonderful night.

An excellent hotel for service but south facing rooms have significant street noise; bring your ear plugs.

The hotel was great and the surrounding Beverly Hills area was awesome for the out of towner. The room was spacious and modern. Only draw back was the price for parking and LA traffic.

Sofitel hotels in Paris, Brussels, Berlin and Washington DC to name a few, feel more boutique-y. (Less rooms) Food, customer service and daily international newspapers are a nice touch. Black napkins are offered to restaurant clients wearing dark clothes- avoiding lint. Nice touch. This hotel met our needs,but it was so huge and close to the street! Lots of nightlife. We chose a room at the opposite end of the hotel.

Probably our third stay here and it's still a terrific place. Warm and wonderful staff, comfy beds, clean, & a great location.

Good hotel , good locartion will definately go back as we travel a lot. We have 2 hotels in the U.K. so we know what we are talking about!!

It was very dark and for the price I paid I much more enjoyed my stay at kempton hotels in San Francisco. It is more a place to say you have been and to be seen but it is maybe worth experiencing that way you know you are not missing much! Room was not cleaned, there was only shower, again did not match the price!

We stayed overnight after going partying at the Paramount Studios Back lot New Years Celebration. The room was beautiful. The bath room was big and elegant. We had a 42 inch plasma tv to watch and a wonderfully confortable bed to retire for the night. Room service was 24 hours. Nice place to end of a wonderful evening. Everything was great. I'll be back.

we checked in at 4pm and left to have dinner at 6pm and when we returned a couple hours later, we have fresh towels already.

Very small rooms and the hotel is very loud

I booked this hotel for the night after my wedding as a surprise to my new bride. She loved the hotel. It was a classy hotel, but we didn't get the chance to enjoy it beyond a place to stay for the night because we had an early flight the next morning to Greece. It was a great place with an unique bathroom, which was the place's highlight. The bed was big and comfortable.

The hotel is very nice. The staff very friendly. They should deliver a paper to your room.

Excellent service and beautiful room.

I used to stay at this hotel in the 90's, but it seemed so rundown that I switched. I am glad I checked it out again. I loved the decor of the room and loved the gym.

Very nice hotel, beautifully appointed rooms, but not conducive to sleep. If you get a street facing room, LOTS of street noise makes it difficult to get a good night's sleep...

Very good service, clean well appointed rooms. The gym is one of the largest in LA and has new/very good equipment.

This was our third stay here within a few months. Excellent staff and great location. Cleanliness and amenities are tops, and the beds are soooo comfy!
