Bedford Hotel & Congress Centre - Brüssel

Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich gut ( 5 Min. zu Fuß zum Grand Place ). Das Zimmer war extrem verwohnt und das Bad alt und verschimmelt. Hier werden für den Preis nur Touris abgezockt.

Super Preis-/Leistugnsverhältnis. Zentrale aber ruhige Lage

Hotel ist sehr Nahe am Stadtzentrum, welches man bequem zu Fuss erreichen kann. Die Ausstattung und Sauberkeit des Hotels ist gut, der Service freundlich.

Das Hotel Bedford macht mit 4 Sternen Reklame, dem wird es aber nicht gerecht. Es ist insgesamt schon ein wenig abgewohnt aber wegen der optimalen Lage sehr beliebt. Selbst im März waren gefühlt die 326 Zimmer gut belegt, was beim Frühstücksbüffet für reichlich Andrang sorgt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis fanden wir o.k.

Naja, für ein vier Sterne Hotel war das ganze doch eher dürftig. Die Dame an der Rezeption strahlte nicht gerade vor Freundlichkeit. Die Zimmer waren OK, das Bad hätte aber mal wieder eine Renovierung nötig. Zimmer lag zu einem Hof, der relativ laut war. Das Frühstücksbuffet war eher spartanisch als großzügig. Die Lage zur Innenstadt ist aber echt super.

zentral gelegenes Hotel, mit freundlichen Empfang und Service. Das auf das Zimmer bestellte Essen war einwandfrei und zu einem angemessenen Preis. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gepflegt.

I enjoyed staying here. The staff were friendly and helful and the room was clean.

The hotel was in a central location with many attractions and restaurants nearby. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Overall cleanliness of the room was very good although the carpets were quite dirty. The only disappointment was our first morning at breakfast, there were no clean tables, we had to ask for cutlery , there was no hot food available and much of the remainder of the buffet had run out. Although the following morning was much better with a full range of food available and clean tables. Overall it was a pleasnt stay.

The room was very standard and we were disappointed as my daughter left her favorite teddy behind which was a big deal for her. When we called several times the hotel had unfortunately not witheld this and were not very helpful.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful andf the breakfast was terrific and set us up for the day. Being able to leave our bags at the hotel after check out was brilliant and the staff happily organised us a taxi. The rooms were fine and you got UK tv in the rooms. Should I return to Brussels I would stay at the Bedford, just wish the beds were not so soft and ther fridge had been cold.

The public rooms are impressive and approach 4 star. The bedrooms were a little on the small side, clean and comfortable but looking a little worn and not to 4 star standard. Breakfast was an excellent buffet with a range to please everyone. Staff were helpful. This hotel is in a very good location and was fantastic value for money.

Nice old fashioned hotel. Good facilites except...no a/c which was a real problem with muggy nights and open windows onto a very noisy street. I'm sure in winter ti would be great. It wouldn't be worth the rack rate, but what htoel is?

wasn't impressed with the room,advertised as having air conditioning but it was a only a small fan and it didnt cut thru the humidity,bathroom taps dripped all night.good location tho,5minutes from the grand place.

only 10 minutes walk from the station me and my girls were easily impressed with how convienant and easy it was to find the four stars is a reflection of the lovely sized hotel rooms and great cathering services. wish I could have stayed longer I will defenitly be returning

we enjoyed our stay, the bathroom was nice however the room was a little smaller than expected but overall a decent experience. The hotel was well maintained and cute. The beds were not so comfortable. They have a wonderful breakfest that was included.

This hotel is in a very good location, but it lacks the comfort of many other four stars hotels. A double room should mean that: a double room, not a redesigned closet with two single beds attached. Other than extreme coziness of the room, I felt fine.

Fantastic location for the hotel. The breakfast was very busy and a bit of a scrum. Maybe because this was Easter so busier than usual.

Upon arrival we stood at the desk and waited for reception to acknowledge us. After check it was explained to us tah twe would be shown to our room as it was tricky to find and located "in another building!!!". This alarmed me a little but we followed up the lift. After numerous snaking through corridors the gentleman open a door and then proceeded to walk us through a CAR PARK, through more corridors uo another lift and finally to our room. It took 5 mins to get from reception to our room. We were not at all impressed. Breakfast was another issue, what a bonfight. On both mornings we ended up cleaning our own table to create a spot to eat, the room was filthy with waitresses just 'sweeping' food scraps using key cards directly onto the floor. We had to wait for cutlery to be washed. Overall not a very plesant or enjoyable experience. I'm sorry to sound so rude but i would not recommend my worst enemy to stay here!!

The Bedford was very easy to find, close to the sights in the old town. Staff were courteous and efficient. Room was clean and excellent value for money, not quite the 4 star expected but good nevertheless. However breakfast was very chaotic and we couldn't find a table due to high volumes of customers and not enough staff to handle it, a good selection made the experience much better!

For a supposed 4 star hotel, the Bedford was singularly unimpressive. The non-smoking room I booked was not available. The card key for the room I was given did not work when I first attempted to enter the room which resulted in two further trips to reception before I could get in. Not a great start. The carpet in the room was stained, the shower did not work properly and the wash basin did not drain properly.

The hotel was central for visiting Brussels with helpful staff creating a warm environment. It was clean and tidy and the rooms were comfortable, the food was excellent however the bar was closed at unusual times. The only thing I felt could be a problem was the windows in the rooms which were dangerously low to the floor.

I will probably never understand how can this hotel be 4 star hotel. They use "half-truths" to get clients. One of the reasons I choose the hotel was an offer of free Internet. Yes, half was true. There was free internet (though maybe I logged in to a neighbourh network) but only in reception area, not in rooms. In any part of the world it is a shame, if a 3 star hotel is not able to provide free internet in room, in Brussels, "the capitlal of Europe" and a 4 star hotel, this is much more then a shame.. When I mentioned this at reception, they were just smiling...My room stink from poor sewage system, the fitness center is a set of old badly functioning machines, the TV remote contorl did not work proporly, batiters were covered by a plastic folia only...never again Bedford in Brussels

Very close to the centre of town and easy trip to Eurostar station. Would highly recommend it for convenience and standard.

only stayed for a night but hotel was fab and clean, walking distance from most touristic attractions and lovely pubs at the grand place

I had several problems with the services on the first night, including 3 times i had to go down stairs from the 6th floor because key was not opening the room and then it turn out the wrong key for wrong room. second day the cleaner opened the door while I was completely naked. and i actually had put do not disturb sign outside. Shower was not adjustableand difficult to use. the room carpet is gross nefinately not nice to walk bare feet. I went down stairs to report to deputy manager who was there at the time but no one came back to me.

The entrance - lobby area of the hotel is quite attractive. The staff is pleasant. The location is good vis-a-vis the Grande Palace. The room was disappointing -- worn mattresses, small. The bathroom was French style, very nice. The elevators are horrible -- far too many users with only 3 small elevators; you can wait forever. If you are on a lower floor you will be using the stairs during "rush hour". The included breakfast is good; European style, not "Continental" style. My primary problem with the hotel (other than the bad beds)is street noise, late at night and in the very early hours of the morning. I ignored the other negative posts (re: noise)because I am from the New York City Metro area -- where we are very used to noise. I booked onto the 5th floor believing that we would be high enough not to be bothered by any street sounds. I was VERY wrong. From 1 AM to 3:30 AM we were the audience for far too many drunken song fests, all of which resonated through the room, even though the windows and drapes were all closed. (Gotta love the Brits and Aussies though... they sure know how to celebrate -- which says interesting things about the neighborhood.) Walking distance from both the Midi and Central train stations, and thus an easy 20 minute train ride to the airport. With better beds and noise control I'd use this hotel again. As is, nope. And I would NEVER bring my wife here....

The lobby of the hotel looks great but my room stank of smoke and had ashtrays, even though I had requested a non-smoking room. The bathroom was clean but the decor in the bedroom was tired and the carpet was grubby looking. The breakfast was just adequate. I had stayed here previously and didn't remember it being that bad.

Location, lobby and breakfast ++ Small room (101) not perfectly clean, with old furniture. Though we had the worst room of the hotel but the lads in the room in front of us let us see that it was basically the same. Quite disapointing for the price. Still, great breakfast and good location.

We got this 4-star hotel at a decent price. Location and condition of hotel and room very good. Buffet breakfast was included and was excellent. The staff were less than friendly and helpful though, could be due to language/culture barrier, but difficult to get them to smile. Always seemed to busy to give information. All in all a very good stay.

Excellent location, about a 5 min walk from the main square in Brussels. Good quality rooms and an average breakfast. Worth the money and nothing more!

Good price and great location but the room (including bedding and bath) and the dining room and breakfast buffet not representative of its 4-star rating.

For Europe, this is a very nice hotel. Location is good, everything was clean, and the rooms are reasonably large for a European Hotel.

This was my third stay here, and I still think it provides good value for money in a good location with an excellent breakfast. On this occasion the room was not as large or well furnished as previously. The hairdryer didn't work.

WE ARRIVED AT THE CONGRESS HOTEL AFTER SPENDING TWO NIGHTS IN BRUGES AT THE NH HOTEL (FORMERLY THE SOFITEL) WHICH WAS BEAUTIFUL. WHAT A TERRIBLE DISAPPOINTMENT THIS HOTEL WAS IN COMPARISON. IT CLEARLY HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED SINCE THE 1960/1970s. THE ROOMS WERE SMALL AND CRAMPED AND THE BEDS TERRIBLY SOFT AND UNCOMFORTABLE. I WOULD CERTAINLY NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. AS FOR IT BEING A 4 STAR I DONT THINK SO.

Location is just a 10 minute walk from Bruxelles Midi and 5 minutes from Grand Place. The room was quite big, although without the 4* details I was expecting (the minibar was empty and hadn't been defrosted in months). The staff, on the other hand, were awful. Far from being efficient, my key was flicked at me across the reception desk with no welcome greeting nor details of where to find my room/breakfast etc. When I complained that the free wifi wasn't working, I received a shrug of indifference and was told "maybe it is not working" and to use the credit card payable connection instead. At breakfast, I was forced to eat at an untidied table as the staff were too slow in clearing away old settings. The porters were more interested in chatting to their mates outside rather than tending to guests' enquiries. If you just need a bed close to the centre, then it's great. If you are wanting anything more, steer well clear!

The hotel is definately set up for tour groups. The first morning there we had to go elsewhere for breakfast because we couldn't get into the dining room with all the German, French, and Flemish tour groups.

Rooms facing the street are very noisy. There is a lot of traffic and a club on the corner that plays loud music. When the drinking crowd leaves the club they are loud too.

The rooms that we booked were not available and even though we got bigger accomadations, the room was a 5 minute up an elevator, over a bridge, through a winding hallway, the across a indoor parking lot before we got to our "suite". Both of the televisions did not work, there was no AC and the hot water for showers ran out. Bigger definetly did not mean better in this situation!!!

The hotel was clean and in a good location. The reception staff were not very friendly. Upon arrival we stood in front of the reception desk for several minutes before someone even said " hello, how can I help you? " You have to ask for a room away from the taxi stand and away from the kitchen because of the constant noise. The beds were also very uncomfortable. The pillows were also horrible for a four star hotel. All in all I do not think I would stay there again.

Everyting was ok except that the bed was so soft it should have been called a hammock

Hotellet är stort och lite opersonligt, men bra standard, lite varmt på rummen. Frukosten är mycket bra och läget är kanon, många trevliga restauranger runt knuten.

Hotel bien situé près du centre et prix attractif via internet. Parking (public) derrière l'hôtel.

Rigtigt godt hotel. Super beliggenhed 500 m fra Grand Place, og masser af hyggelige caféer, og restauranter lige om hjørnet. Da vi var i bil var det en god ting at der var parkeringshus lige ved hotellet.
