Tropicana Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Die Anlage ist zwar schhon etwas ätler, aber dafür stimmt der Preis und die Qualität. Klasse Pool. super zur Entspannung, tolle Lage am Strip. Nur das Casino war nichts besonderes. Aber dafür kann man ja jederzeit die anderen benutzen.

Ich war schon sehr oft in Las Vegas, mehrmals im Tropicana und kann wiedermal nur sagen, alles bestens. Der Service ist sehr gut, die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und mit ein wenig Höflichkeit kann es schon passieren, daß man ein Upgrade auf seine Buchung völlig kostenlos bekommt. Natürlich ist dies eines der ältesten Hotels am Strip, aber man findet sich relativ einfach zurecht, ist sofort am South-Corner beim MGM, NewYork und Excalibur und dadurch mitten im Geschehen. Ich brauche nicht das modernste Hotel mit den aktuellsten Highlights, hauptsache sauber und gut platziert. Und Mal ehrlich, die meiste Zeit verbringt man in Las Vegas doch außerhalb seines Zimmers. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist jedenfalls unschlagbar!!!

Zum Übertnachten ok Essen sollte man woanders. Es war nicht besonders gut aber teuer

Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus könnte eine Renovierung vertragen, da es ziemlich verwohnt ist. Ist aber sauber geführt. Liegt günstig für einen Strip-bummel.

Zimmer geräumig, aber abgewohnt, ungepflegt, das Hotel hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen

Preis und Leistung war echt super, jetzt gibt es sogar Tempura Matratzen, die sehr gut waren. Zimmer sind sehr klein, aber man will ja in New York etwas sehen...

Sehr gutes Prei-Leistungsverhältnis. Lage direkt am Strip und die exclusiven Hotels sind leich zu Fuss zu erreichen. Der Poolbereich könnte besser sein. Es gab des öfteren keine Handtücher. Es waren ausschliesslich junge Amerikaner am Pool, und die waren sehr laut.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strip. Shows sind etwas "angetagt" - Service ist dem Preis entsprechend - (hatte ein günstiges Wochen-Anfangsangebot)

großes sauberes Zimmer, großes Frühstücksbuffet (nicht im Preis), kein europ. Frühstück (nur asiatisch und amerikanisch orientiert, um zu den Zimmern zu kommen muß man mit den Koffern, quer durchs Casino, Parkdeck frei ca. 500m vom Hotel, Gesamteindruck gute deutsche Mittelklasse,

I think we were in the old part of the hotel and updating would certainly be good. Room was comfortable but was less than perfect. Was more impressed with the pool area which is a biggie for us. We were there for poolside relaxing during the day and party at night... not there for the room. It's not the Ritz but the cost was pretty darned reasonable.

No matter how cheap or what a great deal you think you are getting, the Tropicana will put you in the old part of the hotel which is totally out-dated and run down. I was very disappointed.

Older property, but we were upgraded to a tower room which was well maintained. Pool is excellent, no extra person charges like other strip hotels, just a small resort fee. Would stay again.

Carpets were very dirty, only 3 towels for 2 people. Maids were very loud and shouting to each other in the morning.

the location is pretty good near great hotels like mgm, excalibur and new york newyork. The room was not as clea, the bed was not comfortable and the shower was broken.

It's a dump.

We enjoyed our room with two queen beds. We were able to go out on the Strip to enjoy ourselves. The weather was hot but nice. We were able to relax when we got tired.

The location was convenient and the price was very affordable. The service staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The Tropicana is the best deal on the strip. Now, if you are looking for luxury the Tropicana might not be for you. However, the amenities provided and the proximity to the strip make this hotel the best bang for your buck. Not quite as modern as some of the other hotel/casinos in Vegas but again your dollar goes a long way at the Trop. Reasonable gambling minimums and cheap drinks simply confirm the value you get at this hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I feel like every time I stay here I know exactly what I'm getting. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be close to all the main attractions on the strip but is traveling on a budget. Walkways to other popular casinos make it very easy to tour the south end of the trip while avoiding the pricey cabs in LV.

We booked the Tropicana because it was cheap, fast, and came with two magic show tickets. We arrived around 3 am, and it really was not what I was expecting for a Las Vegas Strip hotel. The room needed a hole redecorating. but it wasn't bad. The magic show however was very lame. The guy thought he was God's gift to the magic world. It was more like watching a longire fashion show and a guy who needs to stop smiling. I may stay there agian, because like I said, overall it wasn't terrible by any means

In years past, we've stayed at the Trop with great pleasure. This go around (we had three rooms) we were so unhappy. The furniture in the rooms was dirty, there was mold on the tiles in the shower and we didn't step onto the carpet nor the floor of the bathroom without shoes on our feet-including while we were in the shower! In the hallways there was duct tape on the stained carpet and the smell in the place wasn't pleasant. The pools have always been a real draw for us-this time they were not clean plus the paint was chipping in many placed around the pools. Security around the pools was terrific as was the wait staff there.

The tv was too small. There was no microwave or refrigerator but other than that it was great.

I thought the hotel was going to be very old and kind of trashy but to my surprise we loved it. The rooms are nice and big the hotel workers are so so nice and we were very comfortable. We had an amazing veiw of the strip and I would definatly stay there over and over again.

In the past, we've stayed at the 'Trop' and have been delighted-especially with their pools. On our visit this year, the pool was not cleaned on a regular basis; the rugs throughout the hotel were worn and dirty; the grout in the bathrooms (we rented three rooms) needed replacing; we covered the furniture with towels prior to sitting on it and it looked as if the windows hadn't been cleaned in years. We didn't walk inside the room or shower without shoes on, either. The piped music in the main hallways (between towers) was far too loud and we're hard of hearing. The people continuted to be pleasant and helpful, yet this will be our last stay at the Tropicana.

I know I know, I am usually brutal to hotels that are bad but this one did not disappoint me. I was satisfied by the service I had and the staff was friendly. Overall experience here was good.

The room was clean and well stocked. The only problem we had was the air conditioning unit. It would not get cold and when it did start to cool down the air conditioning unit would shut off.

The staff is very friendly and fun to be around. The folks (staff) working the buffee were fabulous and madeus feel right at home. We go to vegas alot, and stay many different places. The Tropicana gets our vote as one of the best. We will be staying there many more times in the future.

the "trop" is conveniently located to other big name casinos and is very close to the tram. I always stay here because of the low cost and the location. Dont expect any glitz or glamor, just a place to lay your drunk head down after a day of gambling and partying.

The room size was huge, full living room, large bedroom, great view of the strip. Problem was the very loud AC unit that kept me up most of the night, it was late so we didnt ask for a room change one other thing is that the rooms have not been renovated in decades so they are outdated. Still I recomend this place, for the price we paid we got a great value and the location is awesome. I doubt that every room has problems with the AC and I am sure they would have accomodated us if we had asked.

Depending on your expectations, the Tropicana is still a good place to stay. Upkeep and maintenance could be better, but the service is friendly, the restaurants are fine (don't bother with the $.99 shrimp cocktail, though!)and the pool is very nice, not as good as the Excalibur, but better than MGM. The location is one of it's better attributes, with easy access to NYNY, Excalibur, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Hooters, MGM, Etc. We will stay there again.

Very conveniently located ... hotel is an older hotel, but if you like the charm of "Old Las Vegas" it is much better than the newer hotels.

Nice room

i wasnt comfortable with and in the hotel, the customer service was horrible and we didnt have electricity. I would not stay here again!!

Everything was good, the view, the room except the bathroom which was not clean.

When we made our booking we made it for the Garden Room when we arrived they said that none was avaiable and gave us a tower room. The front service desk had a line that we had to wait 30min to check in. The bathrooms had mildew on the tiles and tub.

Hotel is right on the main strip of the new las vegas, a short walk to ph, nyny, paris, mgm, etc. great location, convenient, and not overpriced. The food isn't that good, but it's only a 5 min walk to other great food and buffet locations.

Considering the location of Tropicana, it is definitely worth the price. It is a little outdated but the staff was helpful and the room was clean. Only disappointment was that the main pool was closed for 3 hours after a baby puked in it, and it was on a day where it was 110 degrees out. They said they would open it at 4 but it was much closer to 5pm and there were rowdy guests by then from being in the heat. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay there.

BOTH STAYS IN DIFFERENT ROOMS HAVE HAD SAME ISSUE.....BATHTUBS COULD BE IN BETTER SHAPE. THIS IS A GOOD PLACE IF TAKING KIDS BECAUSE HAS HEATED INDOOR POOL OPEN 24HOURS A DAY

The hallway to my room smelled bad, the condition of the elevator was bad. The room appeared to be clean, but the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress reminded me of a pull out couch mattress.

they dont have enough parking for their guest... I had to park in a vip area because it was empty and the rest was too full.... they called me to move my car and they didn't care that the parking was full... i dont know if they wanted me to park at the MGM or on the street. The guy told me to wait until somebody leave (it was 5am. I was coming back from party)when i got very mad and I said "know i understand why u guys have bad reviews" he said said I'll try to figure out a place for you, and he couldn't find either he said: you were right... ok you can park there.... i spent more than 30 minutes there and I was too tired.... so if you are driving dont go there... great location... good price... room was all right, the bed was too hard, and the carpet was nasty, and the windows dirty. but the rest was veryyyy clean and smelling good.

Other than the food and drink being mediocre, the Tropicana still maintains a great and convenient location, as well as a bit of nostalgia from previous reputation. For the price of the room, it can't be beat. I suggest eating outside the hotel, except for breakfast

My wife and I were satisfied with the room and the hotel, with one exception, the air conditioning did not work in the room. We were lucky that it was not too hot the night we stayed there. I liked the mirrors on the wall and ceiling (wife did not). Overall I would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget.
