it okay, if your going to be gone all day and need a place to sleep

Not too far away from the airport. Good room and service for the price. Many fast food chains around.

The hotel and room were both clean and included a few extras like iron and blow dryer. The breakfast was really surprising. It was more than I expected for a free meal, including juice, cereal, breads (english muffin, wheat & white bread, waffles), coffee, and milk. The only complaint I had was that the heater did not work and I froze as the AC had been before I checked into the room.

We love to stay here when we go to see Jimmy Buffett at Toyota Park! Nice, clean hotel with a friendly staff with a convenient location! We have stayed there two years now, and will be back again!

Heavy construction in the area at time of arrival made it difficult to manuever over to the hotel location. Elevator was dirty and no towels in room when we arrived, but other than that, the lobby and rooms are very clean and service was great.

Clean, quiet and suitable for our needs. Neighborhood isn't much. It is stuck between a couple of warehouses and not many amenities close. But we just wanted it for a place to stay. We then drove to Midway airport, parked all day and then jumped on the Metro to get downtown and play. Worked good for that.

Very friendly front desk.. Not too far away from the Midway airport and other attractions.. Hassle free check-in and check-out..

As I read the reviews, I was very leery about making a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised. We rented three room. The rooms were all neat, staff good, altogether a pleasant evening.

Only two complaints about the hotel as of this review. 1) Construction on the Interstate that exits at the hotel has the exit closed. You have to pass through a toll to get to the next exit and then turn around going back through the toll to exit at the correct one. 2) The shower head is placed low. For the average person (5' 9" - 6' tall) the head is at your shoulders. You'll have to bend down to rinse your head. Outside of that the hotel wasn't bad. Breakfast was toast, cereal, bagels, waffles & coffee; nothing spectacular. Bed was stiff but not uncomfortable, about 30 TV stations to choose from,and wireless internet was speedy.

This was an inexpensive hotel and I really wasn't expecting too much. But, that being said, the service -- especially as it related to the continental breakfast -- was simply below what it should have been. Here is the list of items that were gone/missing when we arrived at the breakfast: Plates Juice Knives Napkins The fact that there were no plates or napkins certainly made it difficult to get much in the way of food. Some resorted to trying to put a waffle into a tiny bowl, but it did not go well. After about 10 minutes of not seeing any hotel staff, I went to the front desk and politely asked if there was a food service person because there were no plates and no juice (the two things that I mainly wanted to get started). He said that he'd take care of it. About 5 minutes later, the front desk person that I spoke with finally came into the food area and immediately refilled the coffee (which I had not mentioned and was not interested in actually). Another 5 minutes later and he finally came and refilled one side of the juice machine. He then left and never came back. Here is the list of items that were gone/missing when we departed after breakfast: Plates Knives Napkins Forks Milk So, we never had plates, knives, or napkins the entire time -- even after pointing out the missing plates to hotel staff. And, by the time we left, it had clearly gotten even worse for anyone arriving after us. This was simply unacceptable. The room was pleasant and the rest of our stay was satisfactory, but the breakfast was completely botched.

We needed a smoking room. Wechecked in they informed us they didn't have any available! My husband is a chain smoker!! His weekend was miserable because he was in a nonsmoking room.! It was Not a pleasant weekend.

The staff was nice, however the hotel room was a little dirty. We walked around the floor with bare feet and the bottom of our feet were black. The rooms also need to be updated in decor. The beds were normal hotel like comfortable.

Room was dirty, bed was hard.

That axiom is definitely true of this hotel. The room was clean except for the shower, which had hair and was dirty. The pillows were uncomfortable. The bathroom light bulb burnt out and we had to change it ourselves because no one was available to do that. Overall, if you need someplace cheap just for the night, this is not too bad. The staff was very friendly.

Fair price, nice clean room, and free wireless internet... Nothing too spectacular, but also nothing to complain about. Not in the nicest of locations but neither was the venue we were going to close by, so it's all relative.

great room for the price. fairly close to midway and great for those early morning flights.

For the price, it met expectations. The location was a bit difficult to deal with due to road construction. We had a maintenance issue on the last night of our stay (stopped up toilet) and they not only have no maintenance staff on weekends, but they could not find a plunger to offer to us to unstop it ourselves. We had to use the lobby restroom that evening and the next morning.

Nice place to stay for a short visit. Guests in nearby room played a tuba and his partner sang, seranading the guests. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great for the amount we paid. Beds comfortable, however the bathroom was a little tight.

The drawers did not work properly, the TV did not work.

If you need a place near the tollway to sleep for the night, it's OK for the price. Minuses, crummy decorating, stucco walls, mediocre TV service, wake up call was 20 minutes late, & minimal breakfast. (cereal, orange & apple juice and anything that can be prepared in a toaster.) Also there didn't seem to be a way to summon someone to the front desk from the back office without saying "excuse me" very loudly. On the plus side it feels secure enough (doors to rooms on the inside of the building.) But the first floor feels more vulnerable than the upper floors because those windows are right at sidewalk level next to the parking lot. The bathrooms are in good condition with fast hot water. It also has has wifi at servicable speed which I needed. (I only downloaded email and some graphic files for work.)

What a great deal for a clean room. It was clean, quiet and located off of a major higway and a major road. Its not the prettiest of locations (its in an industrial park). We didn't feel unsafe during our stay and it was cheap. If you are considering this hotel, note that 80% (at the time of this review) of reviewer recommend this hotel. Just know what you are getting.

New and clean. The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was robust. The bathroom looked like it had never been used and the bed was comfortable. The room smelled a little funny, but it still seemed clean. There was a loud truck outside the room, but the windows and fan took care of the noise. Overall it's a very good, inexpensive hotel.

The hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the airport. For the money, it wasn't bad.

If you want a decent hotel, very cheap bc you need to stop and rest for a night.. this is your hotel. It was very very clean and nice. Free wi-fi, free breakfast (very early). If you are looking for something to do close to hotel, um, I don't think there is anything. It is right off the highway surrounded by factories. I stayed there b/c I was visiting family in the area so it worked out fine.

Everything was great except for the comp break fast. Very slow at refilling breakfast and coffee, ran out before making more coffee and restocking muffins, and toasters that did not work.

I was only spending one night in Chicago, so I needed a safe and inexpensive place to stay. This hotel satisfied those requirements. It's all you'd expect in a budget-priced hotel. Room was adequate, though I found the bathroom/shower to be a little cramped. Beds were comfortable, furnishings were alright. Free parking! which is important in the Chicago area. Drive to downtown was a bit longer than MapQuest indicated, but we also had snow falling, so that was a factor. I would stay there again.

A couple of students and I had to attend a seminar in the south side of Chicago, and we were looking for a cheap hotel, that was also safe, and clean. After two hours of research I booked this one. It exceeded my expectations tremendously! Front desk clerk, Jeannie was wonderful with any questions we had and was very pleasant when we would walk in the door after a long day of lecture. The hotel must have been recently remodeled because it didn't look like the pictures, it was better! The room was clean, and the hotel was quiet. I felt very safe at night, and all day while we were gone from our room. The continental breakfast was just the right amount for the day. Also, FREE PARKING!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay in that area!

The washrooms need more updating. I was told I needed a handicap room for bars to get in and out of the tub. I slipped but I did not hurt myself. I think all tubs need mats inside the tub. They were there but it more updating.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotes and the friendliness of the staff including the front desk and cleaning staff.

The general areas had a hint of a smokey smell and the overall decor was a little worked. But the room was comfortable enough. Our non-smoking room did not have a smoke smell. We flew into Midway and had to get south of Chicago the next morning and the location of the hotel was great. Overall, it was worth the money we spent.

No major complaints. Not great, but not bad. There is construction going on in the lobby, so it feels a little rough right now, but will probably be nicer when it's done. Not a great area, but not too far from Midway Airport.

I must admit that I did not have very high expectations for this hotel befor staying here. The staff was great! The desk personel always had a smile on their face and was very friendly and willing to help if I needed directions around the city. Also, despite the renovations that the hotel was experiencing, I never heard power tools or smelled any odors that were outrageous.

Hotels was under renovations...too much noise....after long trip needed to rest,too much hammering... Wish we knew of repairs before booking
