Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas

Als wir im Rio angekommen sind, waren wir erst mal ziemlich erschlagen: Man landet nämlich wie bei fast allen Hotels in Las Vegas direkt im Casino und sucht sich von dort aus den Weg zur Rezeption. Nachdem diese Hürde überstanden war, konnten wir unser Zimmer Carnival-Tower beziehen. Die Ausstattung war sehr gut und die Größe für 2 Personen perfekt. Obwohl unser Zimmer nur im 6. Stockwerk war, hatten wir eine einigermaßen gute Aussicht und vor allem sehr ruhige Nächte. Die Poolanlage ist echt genial. Sogar mit künstlichem Strand. Allerdings wurde dieser Strand während unseres Aufenthalts gesperrt, weil ein Sandsturm die Nutzung unmöglich gemacht hat... je nach Saison muss man also auf die Pools von anderen Hotels ausweichen, die mit dem Raumschlüssel aber kostenlos genutzt werden können. Die Lage ist etwas abseits vom Strip, was aber durch die kostenlose Shuttelbuse wett gemacht wird (Fahrtzeit ca. 15 Minuten). Obwohl die Entfernung zum Strip nur ca. 800 Meter beträgt, empfiehlt es sich nicht diese Entfernung zu laufen (da dieser Weg über die Freeway-Auffahrt führt). Das Essen im Rio ist absolut genial. Zu empfehlen ist das Carnival World Buffett. Für zwischen 15 und 25 Dollar pro Person kann man dort von allen Speisen der Welt soviel Essen wie man möchte. Softdrinks sind inklussive. Unser Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert! Einziger Nachteil: Die Lage abseits vom Strip

It was a very nice, comfortable room. The service was great. I had forgotten to add my boyfriend to the guest list when making the reservation and when calling Rio they told me it needed to be added thru Hotel.com so i emailed hotels.com and when they got back to me very quickly to let me knwo that they had contacted the Rio to let them know the other guest name the Rio already had made a note of it from my original call and left me with the name of the desk person tehy spoke with so my boyfriend would have that if needed for checking in before me. It was very nice to pay such attnetion to detail that would make a difference in my stay but was really a very small thing in the grand scheme of how many thousands of calls and people they deal with. I stayed rio all-suite hotel. staff was very friendly and quick check in and out.room was very large and cheap than another hotel`s standard room.I very recommend that hotel.

After waiting over 20 minutes in line, we got assigned a non-smoking room. When we entered it smelled of smoke and quit frankly it was pretty rank. We even noticed ashtrays in the room though the sign on the back of the door said it was a non-smoking room. We called the desk and they told us to come down for a new room assignment. After waiting in line almost another 20 minutes, we found a very sympathic clerk who gave us an very nice upgrade for the same price. Great customer service, which almost made up for the long wait in line -- twice.

Rooms were clean and large. Good location off the Strip near other good casinos while not being too far from evrything. Good service from the staff. An overall pleasant experience that met my expectations.

The room was big and comfortable. There was dried vomit on the toilet when we arrived, which showed that the housekeeping was not serious. The hotel is located away from the Strip but offers a shuttle service. Forget about it during rush hours though. Had better experience in other hotels in Vegas so will stay at another place next time.

Huge rooms, friendly staff, many comps with our summer package, great value for the money, convenient shuttle bus. My only complaints would be that there is no inexpensive place to eat on the premises and the TV is located where it cannot be viewed from the bed or the couch!

Only stay here if you get an outstanding room rate. While the room was very big, the shower was fantastic, the view was awesome, and it was nice having a fridge, there wasn't anywhere within walking distance to stock it. Also the pool closed way to early. Watch out for the high pitched salespeople from their timeshare program. They got into our face every time we walked through the casino. On the upside the sports grill has fantastic sandwiches. Big enough to share.

I was just in Vegas on Aug. 25 for business and stayed at the RIO. The staff was very friendly and was always making sure we were happy. We had dinner at Voodoo and the views were amazing and the food was great as well. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, who wants to be off the strip.

Casino has everything...variety of top-notch dining, ample gambling, and a free shuttle to the main strip.

I was in two different rooms during my stay. In both rooms, the toilet tank leaked water when flushed. The toilet is also right next to the shower, which shouldn't be necessary, as the room itself is quite big otherwise. The view is nice. Room service wasn't absurdly expensive. The casino is not as nice as some others on the strip, IMHO. They also have a very loud and unpleasant song/dance show that plays directly on the casino floor -- it's impossible to escape.

I had the unlucky experience of being given Room 1703 at the Ipanema Tower which is very far from the parking structure (you'd probably say, what's the big deal? It happens in most Las Vegas hotels because the hotels are BIG). The thing is, I specifically asked the front desk person to assign me to a room that is closest to the elevator (in fairness, Room 1703 was just one suite away from the elevators) since I was travelling with a senior citizen. Well, if the guest is not fit enough to walk from the elevator to a suite farther down the hall, why make the guest walk across the entire length of the casino - from the parking garage to the Ipanema Tower? Well, I guess you can fault "miscommunication" for that big inconvenience. The hotel itself is nice. Good for singles and the upbeat crowd. Don't bring the kids unless you want to expose them to dancers and singers who perform on a small stage in skimpy outfits. The hostesses also walk around in similar revealing outfits. Like I said, good for the bachelors and upbeat crowds. What is unforgivable, though, is the bathroom that smelled of raw sewage the first time we entered the suite. The exhaust fan was not working (again, I only mean Suite 1703 at the Ipanema Tower). Also, the inner shower curtain had some black spots which I presumed to be molds. Other than that the suite was nice and roomy. I will probably be back to Rio (minus the senior citizen companion and definitely without any kids). After all, the seafood buffet is really GRRRReat! Thanks to hotels.com, I didn't have to pay regular price for this sad experience.

I booked a double w/two queen beds and were informed at arrival that they did not have any more so my friend and I had to share. My friend ended up sleeping on the couch. The room was strange. It had a window in the bedroom looking into the shower. It seemed pretty clean but decor was very outdated. Prefer staying on the Strip.

we were satisfied with the size of the room, it was more than what we expected, and the bathroom was clean. We did have backaches in the morning because the bed was stiff and the pillows were terrible. The hotel staff was friendly and the buffet was great.

It had been about 5 years since our last stay at the Rio. We were very pleased with the renovations since our last stay. The new decor is lovely. The rooms are large and we appreciated having a refrigerator. We also appreciated the free shuttles to the Strip. The room was clean and well-maintained.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable

Nice spacious rooms. Good food available on-site. About a mile off the strip, but the shuttle to the strip makes the trip back and forth painless. Very nice.

When we checked in the hotel it was so noisy we could not hear what the clerk was saying. All of the sinks in our room were clogged. The room was okay and we slept fine.

Very nice and comfortable room for the price but there are no fridge and coffee maker. Our room was at the third floor and had the noise of the hotel air conditioning system which is located on the roof of the second floor. Very noisy.

The Rio has everything very handy. A wide selection of restaurants with excellent value for your money. Staff was very friendly and wanted to please.

they switched my room without my permission, from two queen bed to one king bed, and the room was heavily smoked from last guest, i have called the front desk for a room change, but refused due to the "availability". they only offer some air freshner for us bad service, will not recommend it.

This was an outstanding hotel for the money. The rooms were very spacious and the housekeepping did a wonderful job. My only complaint was the last night I was there we had a vistor from another room ask where was our coffee pot? We did not have a coffee pot. Otherwise everything was great. Good restaurants and lots of variety.

We were so happy with the Rio. We had 2 adjoining rooms overlooking the pool and the Las Vegas lights. There was a free shuttle that took us to the strip. We took advantage of the service several times. I have never enjoyed a hotel stay as much as the Rio. Thanks Hotels.com!

I was going for an intensive seminar so I did not get a chance to visit the hotel much but for what I did see it was clean, rooms were a very decent size and the hotel is pretty stylish if you like a modern style. Pool closed pretty early so if you intend to use the pool after a long day please check to see what the hours will be during your stay.

The room was very large for the money. After spending 7 weeks in a Boston hotel it was nice to get a room that was so spacious.

The hotel is clean and has a friendly atmospher. Every one goes out of here way to help you. Miss the one pool enjoyed having a drink and watching the girls go by

Fabulous pools, some of the nicest in Vegas and we've stayed a variety of places. Beautiful suites, great service.

Spacious, clean rooms for the price. The buffet was excellent. Was disappointed with the show in the sky based on past experience (used to be much better). Shuttle to the strip is very crowded (too many people with the demand). Be prepared to wait for multiple shuttles to get a ride back to hotel. But again, it is complimentary so you save on the cab fare. All in all, a good value for the price.

The concierge staff was ever so helpful. I was able to buy tickets for a show at Harras. I was given incorrect change and did not notice but there was a vx mx in my room tellig me of the problem and left the correct change at the front desk. I just wish more than one restaurant was opened after 11:00pm. The shuttle buse drivers were great and very accomodating. I would recommend this hotel for non serious gamblers and those who don't want to stay on the noisy strip.

The rooms in the Impanema tower are beautiful, we will stay again for sure.
