Inn at the Opera - San Francisco

War das erste Mal in SF und bin super glücklich das richtige Hotel gewählt zu haben. Das Hotel ist absolut sauber, nette Räume und super Service. Die Lage ist absolut sicher und liegt perfekt, da man mit Bus und Fuss überall leicht hinkommt.

This very nice little hotel is perfectly situated for attendance at the ballet, opera and other performing arts events. Nice rooms. Some rooms are a bit tight with respect to space, but overall quality for price is great

The service was good- the staff was polite, but the rooms were tiny, and the parking garage they had only held like 10 cars. This was not helpful, considering the location of the hotel, right in the heart of Civic Center. The bed was HORRIBLE- not fluffy in the slightest, and you could feel every movement. I can tell that the management company has tried hard to turn this aged building into a "quaint bed and breakfast", but they should have started with gutting and renovating the insides first. Personally, for the amount I paid, I would have rather stayed at something more modern and less pricey.

The Inn at the Opera is a lovely little hotel, but is primarily a time-share resort. We were booked in to a room that was the smallest hotel room we've ever been in. The staff made noises about trying to accommodate us in a larger room, but had essentially no flexibility to do so, because other guests couldn't be shifted because they were time share owners coming to their units, not regular hotel guests. My only qualm was the size of the room - beware room 75, and get a commitment about which room you'll be in before you book.

It is a pleasure t stay in a place where the staff actually seem to be glad you are there! Very friendly and helpful. Yes, the rooms are very small but done well and the beds are very comfortable. It has a charm you cannot find in a chain hotel. Lots of great dining and bars close by. We had a great stay.

I knew going in that the room would be small as I visited someone staying here once. I am 6'7" and my partner is over 6'. There was barely enough room to move around the bed and we had to store our belongings in the bathroom

The front desk staff were all very warm and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised to find a sitting room separate from the bedroom.

I got a great rate on this hotel through hotels.com and so would consider it excellent value. But note the following: PRO: Friendly, attentive staff. Decent breakfast buffet (cold stuff only) included. Well kept. Microwave, fridge, dishes, in room (don't know if all have this) CON: Very small rooms -- mine was literally two feet larger on each side than the queen bed. Located near City Hall, Opera House, etc. (hence the name); fine if that's where you need to go, but otherwise not near the usual SF attractions.

Lovely small hotel with excellent restaurant...rooms quite small but adequate. location superb if you are attending symphony, opera or ballet

The rooms are small, but if you are traveling alone on business, it is not a problem. Everything else about the hotel was great, and for lawyers arguing in the California Supreme Court, it is the best!

This is a perfect place to stay.Close to public transportation and bordering and an area to the west with many restaurants. The service is outstanding.The rooms are tiny but very clean with all necessities. The hotel staff will go out of their way to help you.I got a promotional rate but I guess in season the charge rate will be a lot more. Advice: it is a safe area but avoid the triangle Union square,Geary street and Polk street or the so called Tenderloin at night.

The staff was excellent and very friendly. My room wasn't ready when I arrived (at 3:30 - after the check in time), but they found another room on the second floor. I'm not picky but I probably should have been in this case. The room itself was fine, but the window overlooked the loading bay or something and every morning at 6am there would be a great load of noise coming from outside. Also, the walls are very thin. I could hear all my neighbors talking (and I don't think they were being that loud). Finally, I missed the part about WiFi being an extra cost (I guess I've been spoiled by other hotels) so that was a bummer. If you can deal with a noisy place, then the Inn at the Opera is fine.

The front desk had me a little worried when they told me they had me scheduled to arrive the next day. (even though my comformation from Hotels.com said the correct date) They still had a room which was on the 5th floor at the very end of the hall. The room was very small but was sufficient for my stay as I was only sleeping in the room. The front desk people were very nice and friendly. The parking was $28.00 and was offsite however you had 24 hour access to your vehicle. They let us check in 45 minutes early. The bed was extremly comfortable!!!! My only complaint was the maid service trying to come in my room at 9:30 in the morning without proper worning. Good thing the chain lock was on the door or they may have gooten an eye full.

Very compact but good quality bedroom - within 25 minute walking distance of city centre but not expensive. Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff Only downside is the area which is a little downbeat and attracts a lot of homeless people and not a lot of good restaurants close by Would certainly stay again in the hotel if return to SF

Couldn't have found a nicer hotel for our multi-day trip to the city of San Francisco. Room was extremely clean and well furnished, also equipped with small fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker besides the standard stuff like TV, and phone, etc. When they say non-smoking they mean non-smoking. Close to main attractions and good public transportation to get to anywhere in the city. A bit noisy, but overall satisfaction was excellent. Superb continental breakfast, lots of choices. Next time I will definitely stay at this same hotel.

This is a small elegant hotel where I love to stay on brief visits to the city. Well located for my needs and convenient for cultural events and a variety of pleasant restaurants. The hotel's restaurant is beautiful and quiet, and a very nice complimentary breakfast buffet is served there daily. Unless you want to be right in the Union Square area or are looking for spaciousness in a hotel, this is a great place.

the room was far too small, so pack light. tastefull furnished. nice breakfast.

And you can keep waiting in this impossibly small room. I was not looking for a Vegas high-roller room, but it would have been nice if the cabinet that doubled as a closet had enough room for the door to open. I actually reserved three rooms for business colleagues and they were all the same. One fellow commented that he could iron his shirt, but only if he opened the door to his room and placed part of the ironing board in the hall. I have stayed in small rooms in San Francisco and NY before, but this was unlike anything I've ever seen. There was wireless internet, but there was no desk to put the computer on. Actually, there wasn't even a table to do this. Staff was friendly and courteous and tried their best, but could never get us into a larger room over the course of a week. On the plus side was a nice complimentary breakfast and a nice location adjacent to the opera house, symphony hall and city hall. The heater in the room was an old-fashined baseboard type and it was cold, so when I went to turn it on, it fell apart in my hands.

l'albergo è carino, in stile anche nell'arredamento, il personale è molto gentile e l'ospitalità e i servizi sono ottime. Sono molto piccole le camere, anche se accoglienti, servirebbero alcune opere di picocla ristrutturazione. Nel complesso OK.
