Our recent stay at The Loews Regency (August,2009),was a very nice hotel experience. Our guest room was spacious and very comfortable.The bathroom, though not extremely large,offered enough space to move. Our room was quiet, even though it was very close to the elevator.Very large work area in our guest room for business travelers. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful. Location is convenient to everything. I would highly recommend this hotel.

First stay was very enjoyable. The location is perfect for me, the hotel public areas are elegant and private room comfortable. An excellent restaurant, bar and night club are welcome amenities in this sophisticated atmosphere.

We stayed for three nights with two small children ages 5 and 2. There was plenty to do within walking distance, and the amenities including a full sized crib exceeded our expectations

We stay at this hotel whenever in New York. This is the first time we have been disappointed in the room. We will try again.

I arrived at 2am and was greeted happily by a doorman and two front staff. I would recommend and stay at this hotel again, especially for the price.

the hotel is old class elegant with a friendly and helpful staff. The power breakfast is well known, but you have to make a reservation and it is very expensive, $23 for cereal. The room turns into a club at night, Michael Feinstein's room, and that is very nice. the bar is great also. we enjoyed it very much.

Hotel was well maintained. We had a beautiful room and the location was perfect.

I hadn't stayed at The Regency for 10 or 15 years. When it came up with reasonable pricing I thought I would give it a try and was not disappointed. The location is excellent with access to the park and shopping. The Library bar, while expensive, is quite comfortable and quaint. Will definitely go back.

Great location good staff but everything needed an overhaul even the curtains sofas & carpet stank

Very good hotel and a very nice room except for the fact that they gave me a handicap bathroom and that made showering difficult.

The room was of lesser quality than others we have stayed in at the Regency. VERRRY small bathroom, cramped quarters--not what I expected.

We spent the Memorial Day weekend at Loews Regency with friends. The rooms were well appointed; very generous in size; replete with amenities; very clean and quite comfortable. The housekeeping staff was very unobtrusive and thorough, even with our schedule over five days being very irregular. The Library lounge was excellent with friendly staff and an attention to a high level of service. The doormen were attentive and courteous without being pushy. The concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful on several occasions with restaurant reservations and theatre assistance. The internet service was an anomaly with an up charge of $15/day in the room and free in the lobby. Not sure of the logic there. The room was listed in the reservation as "a superior king with park view". The room was superior, but the park was two blocks away and absolutely NO view possible. A bit disappointing after paying for the better room and only have a view of an adjacent building under rehab. All things considered, overall the experience was excellent as expected from a Loews' property, and an excellent value in my opinion.

Loews is a great hotel in a convenient location. Would definitely stay there again.

Fairly large room for NYC - lots of closet space. Wireless Internet was available - for a price,of course (which their listings don't mention). Great location two blocks from Central Park.

The desk staff was most accommodating, and upgraded me to a mini-suite, which was wonderful. Dining room service less than wonderful. Long waits for initial service, food. Perhaps due to small # of servers.

For a rainy spring Easter weekend, our stay at the Regency was excellent! From the first day there we saw a movie being filmed just a few blocks away starring Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker everything went well. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and it helped that they upgraded our room for free!! The soaking tub was dirty, unfortunately, but a major perk was that they had umbrellas for guests to use when it was pouring...I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're ready lay down a few extra bucks a night...

staff were polite and helpful, the bar was very nice if not a little expensive. disappointed you had to pay to see the entertainment in your own hotel $230 to see Jackie Mason is not cheap, and this isn't explained when booking!!!

Loews Regency Hotel exceeded all my expectations! Upon arrival we were upgraded into a suite that must have been 1500 square feet and it had recently been totally updated. Staff was helpful, room was clean, not to mention location is amazing. I will return to this hotel in the future.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the dining room was slow, but the waiter was very affable. They accomodated my request to have luggage picked up by a third party which was a big help.

The complementary hot chocolate at the end of every day in the lobby was the icing on the cake. The entire staff was so nice and very helpful. Our room was perfect...quiet and clean with plenty of room (and a nice size desk). The location was right next to all of the wedding activities that we needed to attend as well as within walking distance to Central Park and many shops. I will stay here again!!

This hotel is in an excellent location. The staff was very helpful with all of our needs.

Well centered for fine shopping, entertainment and feel of security! Fantastic Staff- Definitely a good experience.

This hotel was older but clean and had a great location.People at the front desk were nice, and helpful and concierge was great!!!

We really like this hotel; the staff and attached restaurant are nice, and the surrounding area is great. If you're looking for a place with easy access to Fifth, Madison, and the Park this is a great spot.

We recently stayed here on a pre Christmas trip to New York. The hotel service was excellent perfect location for Bloomingdales and 5th Avenua, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size for Mnahattan and spotlessly clean. Loads of wardrobe space and a good sized bathroom with bath and shower above it. The food was good too - the only criticism would be that the library bar is very cold when the restuarant is shut as an oustide draft runs through it. Othertahn that it was great and the free coffee and hot chocolate stands are a nice touch in the cold weather.

Can't fault the location but that is what you are paying for. Booked a room with two twin beds and forgot that the American twin bed is a single bed!! So a little disappointed. Hotel very flexible on check out time which was great as had an evening flight out. Much appreciated as usually have to store luggage and check out of room at 12.

I have stayed at the Regency a number of times. This is the first time I booked it thru H.C....I reserved a DELUXE ROOM WITH KING SIZE BED and was give a SUPERIOR ROOM WITH TWIN BEDS which I was told was what Hotel.com had told them was reserved. I showed them my receipt and they gave me the room I had paid for. The hotel said that happens all the time Poor customer service!
