Booked this hotel at the last minute for an impromptu visit to Amsterdam. Staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. On a tram line into the city, we had no problem getting in and out of the city centre. The only thing I would say was the breakfast was overpriced.

Friendly, very efficient staff. Clean, comfortable rooms, in a really nice neighborhood off the tourist track. A 5-10 minute walk to the tram, then some 10-15 minutes to the heart of the city.

Very nice hotel, but the service was average. There was no concierge. Staff had to look up things that one would think to be common knowledge. Ate once at their restaurant which had been touted. The food was well above avg, but overpriced. The biggest sorce of annoyance was their outrageous cost for internet use. I could afford only 10 minutes, then went to an internet cafe. That being said, the rooms were top notch with a good selection of english speaking programs on cable. The hotel is in a quiet area, and reasonably close to Vondelpark, but roghly 3-4 miles from the heart of the city. However, the tram line was close enough and took you directly into town.

My friend and i went throughout europe and stopped at amsterdam...what a great choice it was. the hotel staff were TREMENDOUSLY helpful and nothing but nice! would recommend this hotel to anyone who goes to amsterdam!!!!

I was very satisfied with this hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful, and the room was a good size. The only downside to the hotel was that it was a bit far from the center of Amsterdam.

The first night I got in (Apr 29th 2009) I asked the guy at the front desk if breakfast was included and received a convinced "Yes, Sir !!! It is included, of course!!!", only to find out, while checking out, that I owed an additional 44 euros a day in breakfasts indeed. Had I known that I might have chosen otherwise. These guys should prepare/choose their staff better so that customers dont feel tricked in the end. A word of advice for travellers: double check your reservations before trusting these guys.

We stayed at the Hilton (Next Door) last time but its the Bilderberg from now on. Modern, clean and well staffed. Amsterdam is expensive enough these days and this hotel gives everything the Hilton can, (except a gym), for a fraction of the price. Its in a quiet neighbourhood and you'll need to use the trams to get to the city's attractions but its well worth it. By the way, see if you can get a room upgrade to the executive floor.

Lovely hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Room great, really quiet, very warm though couldn't get air con working - hair dryer not efficient. We had enquired about tea/coffee facilities before we arrived and were told there were non - hence took own kettle - but there was tea/coffee in room!!!! Breakfast excellent if a little expensive. Overall fantastic hotel would stay again.

Had a lovely room...breakfast was top class, so much choice. The staff very friendly.My only fault although minor was the hairdryer, reminded me of a swimming pool type, and couldnt get on too well with it, apart from that top class and would most definatley return.

The hotel was run very well and top notch. Only two things were annoying. One was that for the prices charged broadband internet should be provided gratis. This is not much cost to the hotel but just another missing convenience. The second is the adding of an extra breakfast charge to the bill which was quickly removed without comment when objected to. The mater-of-fact way it was dealt with seemed to indicate it was standard practice. I hope not.

Great Area, Fast service, fast transportation, quiet area, very clean, great room, nice restaurant, good food. Bad still have smoking areas in the lobby. Lobby sitting area requires more confortable chairs.

Outstanding hotel and very helpful staff. Short walk to tram station, which connects to all city attractions. However, limited selection (hotel's +3-4) of restaurants within easy walking distance. It's not "in the middle of everything", but we enjoyed the quiet location.

My boyfriend and I wanted to escape for a few days from our visit to London. As Americans it was becoming expensive to enjoy the level of comfort we are accustomed to. Neither of us has been to Amsterdam so we found a cheap flight (though I recommend booking further in advance than we did) and we found a cheap hotel just on the outskirts of central city. What a decandent pleasure the Bilderberg Garden Hotel is. Just a few blocks from the Appollolaan stop off of the #5 tram. This hotel is set in a tree lined community that is both quaint and posh. Our room had an enormous bed with lush bedding and beautiful ammenities inclluding a powerful shower with delicous creams and gels, and fresh green apples delivered nightly. The breakfast buffet is a steal but it's even cheaper if you have it delivered in room! About 5 euro each! And it's an amazing spread of tea, juice, eggs, baked items, jams, cheeses and meats. We actually made sandwiches from the abundant left overs of breakfast and brought a snack for the day of museum touring and "coffee shopping". We were tempted to slepp late every morning we spent in this lovely and affordable hotel.

exellent hotel, situated in a quiet up-market suburban area but near a tram stop that took you to the centre of amsterdam in a few minutes. top quality room, wonderful breakfast. would definately return.

The Garden is somewhat off the beaten path in Amsterdam, which is a good thing unless one wants to be in the nightlife area. It's a 20 minute walk to the museums and a water bus stop, and a block away from a tram stop, so transportation is easy, but it's in a lovely residential, professional area a few blocks from the university. The hotel was very clean and fresh, as was the room. Large, marble bathroom was a pleasant finding. Very courteous and professional staff All in all, an enjoyable stay.

If you want a quiet hotel this is the one for you. It is located in a residential neighborhood near the museum district. However it is still a 5-10 minute walk from 3 different tram routes, including the #2 line to the heart of the city and past many sites. It is also within walking distance to Vondelpark and the Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum. So although you are away from the crowds and noise of the city, you have easy access to the city. The surrounding neighborhood also has a number of nice restaurants within walking distance. The hotel and room was very clean, although the hallways show a bit of wear. The room was of standard business hotel size, which means it the largest room (by far) I've ever had staying in a moderately priced hotel in a European city. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat if I went back to Amsterdam.

Outstanding hotel with very helpful staff and surprisingly great cuisine. Located in a very high end part of Amsterdam.

Everything was as described. I stayed on the 3rd floor (executive floor) it's worth the extra money. Great bed, shower, view. Over all the place deserved it's 4 stars

We used this hotel as our base for a business buying trip. It was clean and comfortable with very good service. Great proximity to downtown Amsterdam. Enabled us to cover the whole country (north, east and south) with a nice base to return to each night.

The tourist area of Amsterdam is kind of crowded and noisy and is sometimes less than safe. This hotel, while easily accessible by public transportion to all of the tourist spots, lies outside the hustle and bustle in a quiet residential/professional area. The rooms and beds are large. The breakfast is substantial. The service is excellent. After a day of tourism, it was like heading back home to relax.

Clean, attractive hotel, easy walk to city, museums, restaurants, shops, transportation. Situated in a nice part of town near a canal; nice, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable. I'd stay there again.

This hotel was great. The staff of this hotel was very helpful. They have everything you need right there at the front desk. They have museum and tram tickets there so you don't have to wait in lines at the museums. They gave us maps of Amsterdam and made copies of our passports for us. The survice was great.

Pas à coté des bons endroits d'Amsterdam, il faut compter 10min de tram pour accéder au centre, sinon 20€ de taxi (le soir...). Sinon l'ambiance est très feutrée, le bar de l'hôtel agréable et l'accueil chaleureux (même si personne chez eux ne parle français). Un bémol pour le room service qui n'est visiblement pas très pressé d'assouvir votre appétit... Correct dans l'ensemble même si la 5e étoile n'a pas vraiment lieu d'être.

Bien que légèrement excentré par rapport au centre ville (20 minutes à pied jusqu'au musée Van Gogh), cet hôtel offre une qualité de service exceptionnelle. Environnement très calme. et surtout pour les personnes allergiques au gluten, le restaurant vous fera oublier votre problème. Merci

Værelset levede bestemt ikke op til beskrivelse. Vores rum havde ikke spa som der står i beskrivelse. Personalet er nogle amatører og der absolut ingen service, da vi ankom parkeret vi lige udenfor med bilen ingen kom ud og da vi gik ind i receptionen og tjekket ind spurgte vi til en der kun tage kufferne til værelset. Men han havde pause. Mange tak! Parkering skal man også selv løse. Hvordan dette hotel har opnået 5 stjerner er mig en gåde.. Et 5 stjernet hotel hvor morgenmaden koster €22 pr. person, Internet adgang €25 pr. dag, ingen parkeringsforhold, dog på gaden til €23 pr. dag. Trèq bon hôtel en périphérie d'amsterdam dans quartier résidentiel très calme. Il se trouve à 200m de l'arrêt de tram n°5 et n°24 pour se rendre au centre ville.

Et rigtig behageligt hotel med dejlige senge og hyggelig stemning. Personalet var meget imødekommende og hjalp til med både parkering, offentlig transport og kort over byen.

Vriendelijk hotel in een lommerijke omgeving op loopafstand van prachtige winkels, leuke restaurants,musea en concertgebouw. In het hotel een prima restaurant met heerlijk eten en fantastische bediening kortom de aanrader voor een verblijf in deze wereldstad.

L'hotel est vraiment bien, très bien tenu, service génial, chambre propre (et spacieuse pour celle où nous étions). Un seul bémol: la situation, à 15 min de marche des musées (déjà au sud du centre d'Amsterdam). Toutefois, un tram passe au bout de la rue et vous emmène dans le centre. C'est juste qu'étant parisien, je voulais oublier les transports durant mon séjour amstelledamois... Sinon, rien à redire.

Vi besøkte hoteller to netter. Hadde booket et deluxe rom - anbefales! Nydelig rom, svært bra service! Hotellet var behjelpelig med å skaffe roser, jordbær, champagne og sjokolade fra min kjære til meg - svært bra service i forbindelse med overraskelsen. Hotellet ligger rolig til rett utenfor den kokende bykjernen, og man når byen lett med trikk 5/24. Kjøp trikkekort (48 t - 11 Euro), så går turen ned til byen lett. Glimrende hotell - eneste negative var at rommet var varmt ettersom aircondition ikke stod på i mars.

L'hôtel se trouve sur deux lignes de tram, la 5 et la 24, proche des musées et de Leidseplein donc du centre. La chambre était spacieuse, impeccable et équipée d'un jacuzzi. Le petit déjeuner est très cher (21 euros) mais copieux et délicieux. Il règne dans tout l'hôtel une agréable chaleur. Bref, très bon choix pour un séjour très confortable à Amsterdam.

Hotel très bien situé : à proximité des Musées, du Vongel Park, non loin de rues commerçantes et d'une ligne de tramway pour rejoindre le centre historique. L'hotel n'est peut-être pas un cinq étoiles, mais plutôt un quatre étoiles dans les faits. Cependant le rapport qualité prix est très bon. A noter également la très bonne qualité du petit déjeuner.

Fint hotell beliggende litt utenfor sentrum, men med gode kollektiv-muligheter. Anbefales.

on peut s attendre a plus de standing pour un 5 etoiles.. les chambres sont assez basiques mais hotel tres correct dans l ensemble

nydelig sted i flott "residential area". Lang trikketur til sentrun, men Pijp området ikke langt unna kan anbefales. Resepsjonen opplevde vi som litt sure og veldig "korrekte". Det tok lang tid å sjekke inn og ut Frokost ikke inkludert. Husk city tax kommer utenom.

God service og hyggelig personell. Stille og rolig område, men litt langt unna sentrum. 20 minutter gange fra RAI konferansesenter
