Novotel Montreal Centre - Montreal

Das Novotel ist ein zentral gelegenes Hotel mit schönen Zimmern. Blick vom 20. Stockwerk war beeindruckend. Der kleine Abzug bei der Servicequalität kommt daher, dass beim Einchecken unser Garagenticket fehlerhafterweise nicht aktiviert wurde. Sowas sollte eigentlich nicht passieren.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights over the Labor Day weekend. The staff was charming, and the hotel's location was ideal. We walked St. Catherine's street and to Old Montreal. We ate at really good restaurants right in the neighborhood. The room itself was nicely decorated if a bit small, and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Clean and soooo conveniently located, you cannot beat it

This hotel had the best service! The subway is about 2 blocks from the hotel and connected to the Montreal's famous Underground City. Plenty of shopping and dining options within walking distance. If you stay here definitely check out the Irish Pub across the street the food is amazing! The is a strip of bars and clubs within walking distance as well. Great Hotel!!! =)

The Novotel is excellent in about every way - well-decorated and spacious rooms, super-friendly staff, and excellent location right in the heart of Montreal. Room and parking rates (with unlimited ins and outs) are very reasonable. The only possible drawback for business travelers is that wireless Internet is not offered in the rooms - they do, however, have wired Internet, as well as wireless in the hotel lobby. Overall very pleased with the Novotel - I would surely stay there again on future trips.

The location is fantastic in downtown Montreal. The front desk spoke English and helped very much with all of our questions. It was a bit pricey in comparison to other hotels in the area and considering it wasn't a "luxury" hotel. Room could definitely have been cleaner.

We travel frequently to Montreal, and we have tried different hotels; the Novotel is definitely the best. The staff are excellent, the room arrangement and room appointments are both unique and practical, and the hotel is immaculately maintained. We now choose this hotel for all of our trips, which are every 2-3 months.

my daughter and I had stayed at the novotel to see a show at the bell center in montreal.The hotel is about a 2 minute walk.The rooms were spacious and very clean.The morning buffet was very good and my daughter ate for free.This was a great experience.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was in a great location, very clean and reasonably priced.

The hotel was terrific. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the hotel is just 1 block from the trendy eating area of the city. It is also within walking distance of many shops and bars. I plan to stay there again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here with another couple and the Novotel far exceeded our expectations! The hotel itself is very nice and the service we received was phenomenal! We can't thank Christine and Maria at the front desk enough! They were so helpful after our car was stolen (from the Biodome - NOT from the Novotel) and did whatever they could to make sure we had everything we needed. If we ever return, we would stay at the Novotel again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone staying in Montreal.

The hotel was what we expected for the money. We weren't happy with the following, although they were minor: 1) Only 1 computer to use in the lobby and there was always someone using it. 2) Always a line at the front desk. 3) Bathroom shower stall was odd. It seems like the door to the shower was on the wrong end. THere was no shelf to put soap or shampoo. You had to leave it on the floor of the shower. 4) Parking garage was small and not owned by the hotel. If you paid for parking and come back to the hotel late, there is no guarantee of a spot and you are out of luck. One night we got the last spot and after that we never took the car out again. It's espcially packed on the weekends so beware.

We had a blast, like our recent stay at the Novotel in Lisbon, they remain consistent interms of service and quality. Great value for the money, central location, the metro is close, parking is very close and we were able to find a spot on the street to tide us over for the weekend. I had some reservations initially because we tend to stay in Old Montreal but we were warmly welcomed and happy to be in the micx of things. We highly recommend this location overall.

With todays technology they do not have wireless internet connection in your room. This is a most today. I would not stay there again.

A great place to stay in Montreal for the price. The hotel was very clean, the staff super helpful, and with a bunch of entertainment walking distance. How can you go wrong? Love the modern design, and wish this European staple would catch on in more places in North America.

This hotel was walking distance from everything we wanted to do in the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that our towels were dirty and I called to get more but no one ever came with my towels. Also, our shower head was broken so the water came down in a single stream.

I stayed for two nights and was happy with the trip. The staff was nice and the rooms were very clean. The only complaints I could say is that the tub drain was draining very slow which was not a big deal and the mattresses weren't very comfortable. The pillows and blankets were very nice, I must say. Also, they didn't tell me about the automatic charge for the minibar, that if you even move the products in the fridge, you will be charge for consuming it... So don't use the fridge for your personnal food and drinks. The hotel was nice enough not to charge me for moving them... otherwise, I had a great time visiting Montreal.

What more can you say good location for walking around the city close to local restaurants and shopping

The multilingual staff was extremely helpful and nice, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a ton of stuff in the surrounding area, but the entrance was on a side street so it was still very quiet. The only two things I would give a heads up about would be the bathroom doors, because they were mini double doors that didn't lock, and didn't give a lot of privacy. I was traveling with my mother, so it wasn't a big deal, but it would be awkward if you didn't know a roommate very well. Also, if you eat breakfast at the hotel, I recommend eating off the a la carte menu because the buffet was a little limited. However the food in general was great!

Service was very good. Hotel room above expectations. Breakfast very good for the price.

I stayed at the Novotel Hotel in Montreal over the 2008/2009 New Years Eve. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to others. The best thing about the hotel was the location, just off St. Catherine Street (the main shopping street) and within walking distance of the Bell Cener, the Peel Subway stop and only several blocks from Gare Central, the main rail station in Montreal. The hotel and rooms have been recently remodelled and the rooms were clean and large. I particularly liked the central heating and AC because they made little noise when running. The view from the rooms either faced the street or a back parking lot - nothing great since no Montreal hotel is on the river. The beds, in my opinion, were a little hard but since I spent my days sightseeing I was tired and was easily able to get a good nights' sleep. I enjoyed my stay and have recommended this hotel to others. The best things were the location and the new lobby and rooms.

We have visited this hotel in the past and because of the wonderful 'people centered' boutique hotel services we are now repeat - and regular - visitors.

I had a problem with a package I was expecting at the hotel. A desk clerk named Sabrina spent 45 minutes tracking my package and speaking with a representative of UPS. Because French is their first language she helped me enormously. I am an anglophile only. The room was right in the heart of the city with parking onsite (extra of course). The only drawback was street work in progress which made the hotel hard to reach at first, but this was not the hotel's fault.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Service was great and exceeded our expectations. My only complaint about the room itself would be the mini-bar: it has sensors that detect when you remove an item from it's position in the bar and you are charged for the item whether you consume it or not. The same goes for the bottled water on top of the bar. This wasn't a problem for us, we realized this would happen before we touched anything, but I can see this causing confusion and resulting in unwarranted charges on people's bill. A silly way of doing things, in my opinion. The hotel's restaurant closes at 10 (as does the bar), which I think is way too early in an urban area, and was rather disappointing. Good location, near 2 subway lines, and parking in a garage underground.

THe location was close to shopping, the metro and local pubs. Would stay there again.

Great city location, room was very comfortable and clean but we didn't have any view on the low floor we were on. Visited the bar @ the hotel & was very nice. Underground parking @ the hotel was also very convenient. We would definitely go back here to stay.

Staff is very well trained from the front desk to the Resturant crew. I've stayed at this particular hotel 2 previous times and was extremly satisfied with overall stay. The third was not the charm. Shower had no pressure, and the tub filled up to my ankle's, and that was only for a 10 min shower. I did spill a soda on the floor, I cleaned it up with a hand towel from the bathroom and it came up black. I doubt the soda that was spilled could've been that dirty. It's unfortunate, I really liked the Novotel because of it's location to where I work while I'm in Montreal. I know this sounds like complaining, but for the price they ask it really should be a no brainer for anyone considering this hotel. Now I'm forced to think twice.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff was very helpful and were wiling to provide detailed directions and methods of transportation.
