Hotel Metropole - Venedig

Die erste Nacht waren wir in einem sehr lauten und unattraktiven Zimmer (direkt am Frühstückssaal) untergebracht und wurden morgens um 6 vom Geklapper des Tischdeckens geweckt. Nach unserer Beschwerde haben wir für die nächsten Nächte ein kleines, aber ordentliches Zimmer bekommen. Ansonsten ist das Hotel sehr plüschig, aber das passt ja zu Venedig. Lage ist toll.

We arrived in Venice quite late in the evening. By the time we arrived at the Metropole, we were quite tired and hot. The staff were very helpful and the check-in process was easy and fast. They had even upgraded our room. The room itself was fantastic. Very well decorated and comfortable. The included breakfast was quite good with a nice variety of items. It was a great stay. Although not inexpensive, the convenient location and wonderful facility made it worth treating ourselves.

This romantic hotel in Venice exceeded our expectations. Outstanding, friendly service, beautiful lobby, convenient canal dock, delicious buffet breakfast, unique decor and collectibles, comfortable bedding and linens. We stayed at Metropole for our honeymoon and couldn't have picked a better place. I highly recommend this 5-star hotel. The price is right for what you receive.

Beautiful hotel within 10 minutes of San Marcos Sq! Very convenient and staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Also the complimentary breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We can't wait to return!

We stayed at the Metropole in April, about the same time as the Easter School Holidays in Europe. We've been traveling Europe for many weeks and have become very discerning about our accommodation. We found the overall decor of the hotel to be quite depressing, it's main theme is red. So if you like everything in red then this is the place for you, we found it dark and depressing. The worst quality about the hotel was the pokey size of there double deluxe rooms, clearly wasn't enough room to have two medium sized suitcases open at the same time. Breakfast was very average, no hot buffet. The best thing about the hotel was the concierge's tip to go to the local operetta at the Acedamia. Couldn't recommend this hotel to family or friends. If you're after something nice and literally only a few doors down see the Londra.

Everything was right about this hotel. Beautifully kept. Lovely lounge area - so relaxing we sat there and chatted for an evening & had lovely small portions (what we wanted, as had lunch late) ordered from the cosy bar. Bar staff also specialised in serving several varieties of tea. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were so pleasant, most polite and helpful, even when people arrived late. Tables beautifully set - lovely bright room. Range of foods was extensive. Quality was superb. Breakfast was included in our room rate. Extras (hot food) were available also. Only bad point was the unfriendly man at reception when we were checking out - such a pity.

Lovely hotel on the waterfront not far from St. Marks Square (San Marco). Very friendly and professional staff. Extensive breakfast menu and buffet, and not just the usual bare continental fare. They went to great lengths to return a phone charger I had left behind, not a valuable item but it illustrates their professionalism and attention to detail. Would love to go back someday!

un albergo ben tenuto , pieno di collezioni di pezzi antichi che rendono l'ambiente molto ricercato . peccato che i bagni siano stati realizzati in miniatura

Hotellets innredning og beliggenhet gjør det til en opplevelse i seg selv i en by som ellers er mettet av severdigheter. Dessverre trakk servicenivået i resepsjonen ned (holdning og vilje til å hjelpe i en bestemt situasjon), men staben for øvrig var svært servicevennlig.

La posizione e` ottima come anche l`accoglienza e la cortesia del personale , l`arredameno della camera un po sottotono (ad un prezzo sopra la media ) se paragonata al livello (5 stelle) ed alla fastosita` della hall , dell entrata e dela sala attiennte alla reception..
