Liked this hotel very much - perfect location to all san francisco areas by foot plus all buses and trains around the corner. good coffee and tee for free in the morning in the lobby was very enjoyable, hope this place will still be as nice when i come back next time ;-)

Nettes, gediegenes, evt. etwas altmodisches Hotel zum Wohlfühlen. Nachmittags kleiner kostenloser Weinempfang in der Lobby. Zentrale Lage; Chinatown, Little Italy, Cable Car jeweils ca. 10 min. zu Fuss erreichbar. Ansonsten Bus gleich um die Ecke. Wer Ruhe sucht, sollte ein Zimmer zum Innenhof buchen. Teuer Valet-Parking ca. USD 45 incl. Tax pro Tag , aber auch öffentl. Parkhaus bis zu USD 30 für 24h.

Die Lage und das Design des Hotels haben uns besonders überzeugt. Geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, bequeme Betten, saubere Zimmer mit Einbauschrank für ausreichend Stauraum. Im angegliederten Restaurant "Midi" haben wir einmal gefrühstückt, das war wirklich gut, nur die Klimaanlage war noch kälter eingestellt als in anderen Lokalitäten üblich. Unser Rückflug erforderte die Abreise vom Hotel morgens um 04.30 Uhr, für die Fahrt zum Flughafen wurde uns ein Shuttleservice angeboten und organisiert, der günstiger war als ein Taxi. Wir waren wirklich zufrieden mit dem Hotel!

Hotel ist im Eingangsbereich sehr schön. Leider fallen die Zimmer dann doch deutlich ab. Der Eigentliche Haken ist aber die vollkommen überzogene Parkgebühr von über 40 Dollar pro Tag!!!!! Also das Auto immer wo anders abstellten. Selbat in Parkhäusern am Fishermans Warf kostet der Tag nur 15 Dollar!

Wir haben hier im Rahmen einer Kalifornien-Rundreise 2 Nächte gebucht. Unser Deluxe-Doppelzimmer lag zur Straßenseite Sutterstreet. Leichte Straßengeräusche sind durch die Fenster zu hören, aber es war nicht so störend. Man konnte gut schlafen. Irgendwie ist es auch ganz schön, nicht in absoluter Stille zu wohnen, sondern auch mal ein Hupen zu hören. Das Zimmer war super eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Bad hatte eine Wanne und ein kleines Fenster zum Hof. Hier kann man auch gut ein Vollbad nehmen, was wir nach einem anstrengendem Sightseeing-Tag auch gemacht haben. Internet-Benutzung ist kostenfrei, es gibt ein extra Business-Center mit 2-3 Computern und Drucker. Ansonsten ist der Empfangsbereich und das Hotel eher modern eingerichtet, wirkt etwas kühl. Auch die Angestellten machen ihren Job sehr gut, aber es fehlt vielleicht etwas Herzlichkeit. Ansonsten haben wir uns aber rundum wohl gefühlt. Wir würden das Hotel für einen Business-Besuch oder Geschäftsreise uneingeschränt empfehlen, für eine private Reise hat ein bisschen die Gemütlichkeit und Herzlichkeit gefehlt.

The hotel is in a great location near union square. Staff are freindly and helpful and I loved the way the hotel was decorated. My room was comfortable (esp. the bed) and the en suite was as good as the bedroom - a great place to stay in gorgeous city.

Overall an excellant place to stay. The staff was helpful & friendly. The room was very comfortable. For SF the price was reasonable.

I was really happy with this hotel, especially for the price we paid. I freaked out a little when I walked in the lobby and saw that they allowed dogs, but the hotel was very clean, no icky pet smell, and you couldn't really tell there were animals around at all. The room was a little small, given that they had a super-sized king bed in it, but it was beautifully decorated and the bed was comfortable. Not the most interesting location, but very convenient. I would definitely stay again.

Room and lobby decor was very nice and concierge resources were very friendly and helpful. Room was small but what we expected in San Fran. There was a nice outdoor area and small running track on the 3rd floor.

My husband and I went to San Francisco for our one year anniversary. We booked the Galleria Park Hotel based on the price and pictures posted on hotels.com. From the moment we arrieved the staff treated us like royalty. They were so helpful and warm. One of the tings I loved was each employee had a quick do's & don't, must do/see & don't waste your time with, along with other great information printed and displayed in frames for hotel guests to read. Really cool to read what eachemployee said! Overall, we loved the Galleria Park Hotel and would recomend it to everyone! Thank you!

The staff was so friendly and helpful in selecting restaurants and sights to see. ust a block walk from the Mntgomery BART stop, it is convenient to Union Square shopping, Chinatown, cable car access, and major bus routes. Some surprises were the free wine-tasting everyday from 5:30-6:30, the large room and very comfortable king bed, the rooftop zen garden, the art-deco decor and, again, the amazingly friendly staff. I have to give just two slight dings - 1) the A/C unit in the room was difficult to regulate. It would go on and off during the night and sometimes woke us up. 2) not a great internet connection in the business center, but the wifi reception in the room was good. 3) I ding every place where there is no fan in the bathroom. But other than this, I would 100% recommend this place to anyone, and we will stay there again should we revist SF.

Staff was fun to talk to and very helpful.

Wonderful hotel with an outstanding location. From the time we were met curbside by a smiling Maria and checked in by a friendly Sara, we knew this would be a great stay. The breakfast at the restaurant was good and the staff very attentive. We can hardly wait for a return visit!

Accomodating staff always ready to help! Loved the wine hour and chance to meet others staying at the hotel. The rooms are small but we managed very well with two big suitcases! The location isgreat...only a block from BART and close to all major forms of transportation! I would go again in a heatbeat!

The hotel location is very convenient--lots of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. The room and the bathroom are small however the space is well utilized so there's plenty of room for your stuff and it doesn't feel cramped. The decor was fun and the room was spotless!

Room was very comfortable. Hotel provided many unexpected extras, such as a room safe, rooftop garden and wine tasting, in addition to 'expected' perks such as a small business center and fitness room.

Guest rooms and lobby are beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. The wine hour is great, but it is held in a tiny room at the back of the restaurant next door. Get there early if you want a seat. There is also a nice coffee and tea service on the mezzanine each morning. The elevator does not service the mezzanine. The jogging track and park are very nice, but tiny and overlooking the glass Crocker Galleria mall. The financial district doesn't have a lot of night and weekend services, but Union Square is an easy walk from the hotel. I took BART into the City and it was easy to walk from the station to the hotel with luggage.

I was in San Francisco to run a half marathon last weekend and chose to stay at this hotel based on its location and the decent rate I found. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was well appointed and charming. My two complaints were that it did not seem like the carpet in the room had been vacuumed recently, and the heating/ventilation system in the room was quite noisy at night. I was expecting street noise because we were on the second floor, but the noise coming from the pipes in the walls was suprising. I guess it was due to the fact that this is an older building (which also happens to be what makes it so charming). In summary, the noise wasn't bad enough to keep me from staying here again, but if you want absolute quiet at night, then this isn't your best option. Also, we had drinks at the restaurant attached to the hotel, and the bartenders were extremely nice and full of recommendations for the San Francisco nightlife scene.

I thought it was a pretty good hotel. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and had soft cotton bedding. Price good, location terrific, close to town & Amtrak Ferry Bldg. Nice staff. Only complaint is very tiny room, the 2 beds took up almost all the space, and the office chair got in the way of walking thru. Loved the neighborhood. I would return.

I read lots of reviews about this hotel and others before I chose it for our recent stay in San Francisco. This turned out to be ideal for us. One of the best things was that they allowed us to do "early check in" - at 10:30 am when we arrived from out of town. That might not always be the case but it sure was nice of them and appreciated by us. The lobby is welcoming, pretty and comfy. Big fireplace, comfy seating, chrome, silver and white surroundings. The light green colors most other places made it very relaxing. The bed was unbelievably comfortable as were the pillows. The armchair, footstool and desk/computer station were nice. Bathroom supplies (shampoo, conditioner, lotion)all smelled so fresh. The free wine in the lounge was a nice bonus and graciously served to us with no obligation for anything else. Every desk clerk and concierge we dealt with were extremely helpful - with directions, suggestions, answers. We would stay here again and recommend it to others we know that will be visiting San Francisco.

The room was a bit cramped for a week long stay, with the sink right in the room and a tiny bathroom. The room was only surface-clean, with gobs of dust just under the bed and behind the headboard. The worst part was we found what we confirmed was a bed bug in our luggage after leaving.

Small rooms and noisy lower levels, but once moved to a higher room the stay was nice.

I love my stay in this hotel, great location, excellent service, friendly staff and very helpful. I go to San Francisco every year, I will definitely stay in this hotel again and again.

Loved the location. I stayed there for 4 nights. Walking distance to the Ferry Building, Chinatown, North Beach and Nob Hill (although there are some huge hills going toward Nob Hill). Great shopping area from upscale to kitschy souvenirs. Variety of restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself was very nice. It is a boutique restaurant and my room actually felt like a room in a house rather than in a hotel. It was pretty quiet even though I was on the floor with a conference room. I had 2 problems (slow draining tub and TV not working); the drain was fixed while I was out and the batteries were changed for the remote after a second call, but overall, neither of these problems changed how I felt about my stay or my view of the staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay at it again.

If you like a touch of yesteryear this is a great place. The location, while not in the heart of nightlife or attractions, is close enough to much and very walkable to Union Square, BART and MUNI.

The location is great. Near all forms of public transportation. One downside is that it is in a business district, so many things close at 6pm or earlier. This was sometimes an issue for food, but there is always something open. Very centrally located to get to all the things you might want to see in SF.

this was supposedly a quiet room,yet there were compreessions,i.e.opening and closing of doors every 30 seconds-I had to turn the fan on to reduce this noise

I loved our stay. My wife and I were on vacation and arrived late. after a longer than necessary check in we got to our small room. We actually expected a bigger room for the amount paid. While the room was comfortable, it certainly was tiny. All of the staff we interacted with seemed very knowlegable, and helpfukl with the exception of one front desk person. When asking about various activities in the area we had to press for information and the replies ade us seem as though we were not good enough for the hotel. The rest of the staff was genuine and helpful, so from the first bad experience my wife and I avoided that individual. The door staff was absolutely amazing and gave us the suggestions for restaurants and activities that worked out. Other than one person (who had the info, but didn't seem to have time for us) and the tiny room we liked the hotel. Worth the amount we paid.

We enjoyed the surroundings and especially the hotel bar, very fun.

I worked in the financial district of San Francisco some years ago and the Galleria Park allows me to both enjoy the commerce of the city but the wonderful shopping around Union Square. It is the perfect location but I hate to advertise it too far and wide as it might make getting a reservation difficult and too expensive. The Galleria is a true boutique hotel. The staff is attentive. Although our room was small, it accomodated nicely a king bed. Cell phone service was limited in our room but that was a good thing given our desire to get away from business.

My sister recommended this hotel and we loved it. We're locals so we're already pretty familiar with the city. The rate for the valet parking is worth it considering you're in the city you aren't going to find anything cheaper. And it was soooo nice to be able to drive up to the curb and have someone else put our car away and then bring it to us as soon as we needed it. The hotel is located right by Chinatown, Belden Place (if you haven't gone to the restaurants there, you need to), and Union Square (you walk past Mango, H&M, Zara, and Niketown on the way to Union Square... not bad). The room was wonderful. Very nicely decorated. Small rooms, but I loved it. Beautiful marble staircases. Bathroom was clean. There was some noise from the street when the windows were open, but I'm the kind of person who likes that. If you want complete silence, go to the mountains for your vacation. :) I also hear they have rooms in the center of the building that are quiet if you prefer that. The absolute ONLY complaint I have is that I did yoga in the room and that puts you quite close to the floor, so I noticed that the floor had a couple stains on it that looked a little unappealing (but that looked like they would come out easily). So perhaps I'll send them a quick note letting them know that they should take care of that. Other than that, I loved it!

This room was amazing for the price - we got an internet special for a weekend stay. The room was small, but functional and the bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect, right near the MUNI station and a short walk to ChinaTown and Little Italy. We would definately stay here again.

My Boyfriend and I were in town to see a Giants game. The room was small but very neat and comfortable. If your not going to be spending alot of time in the room. The location is great and very nice and helpful staff.

Love this hotel! Clean room, great staff, and love the Art pieces. I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it to others as well.

Inexpensive, clean, right around the corner from our office - perfect. Plus, with the addition of the great restaurant Midi, there's even more reason to stay here now! I hope to return soon.

Great deal for the money. Very conveniently located.

This hotel is a great business trip hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Be sure to check out the 1/2 acre park on the 3rd floor. Very nice!!!

The hotel room was quite small an the bathroom smaller. But It was very clean and quiet for being in the heart of the city. The hotel staff was excellent with guidance at all our needs and it was very close to any form of public transportation. The parking was very expensive at the hotel we paid 35 dlls a night plus 5 dlls parking tax for the total of 40 dlls a night. We would definetly stay there again.
