We had everything we needed- easy access to the strip and downtown, restaurants, pool, even a roller-coaster! Great deal for the price.

Waited in line for over 1 hour just to check in,and the room was not clean. There was even melting ice in the ice bucket and a left behind phone charger. Overall condition of the Alexandria tower at the Sahara was poor, even for the money.

on the strip and you can't beat the price and it was clean and comfortable with friendly employees

The bed was warn out, room has a foul oder, View was good, however it didn't make up for the condition. Seemed more like an old Motel then a hotel. Doubtful I would stay there again.

Room was good for the money. However, we were charged additional faculty fee, $6 per night at the hotel counter. Is this usual? I had never paid anything at hotel counters other than this time when I booked with hotels.com.

The hotel is okay. Location is okay. We stayed on the 23rd floor. The room smelled like a smoking room when it's suppose to be a non-smoking room. The AC vent loves to hum all day and night. A few of the electricity outlet did not work. The TV did not have any varieties of shows but the basic only. No body lotion, but there was shampoo and soap. We didn't get a Do Not Disturb sign and was woken up daily by room service. All in all, dispite the looks and functionality of the room... THE VIEW WAS AWESOME!!!!!

good room for the money we ended up paying very little for the room , it was a smoking room but my only complaint would be that the walls were yellow and dripping with tar and it stunk of smoke but that's the price you pay i guess. the room was dated and slighly beat up but i was 't expecting anything magnificant in the cheapest hotel on the strip

My overall visit was just okay. If you want a little something extra this is not the place to stay.

The room was nice. It took awhile to check-in about 30 minutes. When I got to the room the faucet in the shower was leaking. Called maintance and they didn't show up. Other then that the hotel was nice.

insufficient help at the front desk. Restaurants were closed.

Very simple room, but good. Casino is pretty good. Happy Hour is Awesome! $1 beer/shots/hotdogs. Great if you aren't hungry enough for the buffets (Don't eat at the Sahara buffet!). Monorail pass is key if you want to experience The Strip. It comes every 5 mins and takes 10 minutes to get to the central strip. About $20/person for a 3-day pass.

Check in line on Saturday was out the door. We were abut 10th in line and it took over 1 hour (only 2 reps and one was with someone for 45 min). Room was old, probably never renovated, sink falling out of the table top. A/C constantly on fan with no thermostat. Buffet much less than spectacular. Pool area closed at 9PM (on a Saturday when it was over 100 F outside). Stay away at all costs. I'd rather have been in a tent.

Not a place to go on Honeymoon but if you've been married for awhile and don't need to impress her...then this is a Hot Spot, we had a great time and walked away with money in our pockets. Perfect for a quick getaway.

Dont come here if you require something fancy...However its a great steal for the price. The rooms are clean and convenient...no roaches or nasty things like other places,i enjoyed my vegas stay.

I went for the UFC Expo so I had to take the monorail a few times to get to the MGM. The Sahara was certainly cheaper than most and although big in comparison to other hotels, it wasnt so big that you couldn't walk it in about 90 seconds. The comps and desk people were very friendly and the view from the 27th floor from the exercise room was breathtaking.

Do not recommend, lousy service, rooms old and dirty.Cigarette burns on furniture and carpeting. Will definitely pay more for better rooms.

Hi Travelers, OK if your traveling on a strict budget then the Sahara is your place. Thats what the wife and I were doing. After the stay at the Sahara I'd definately pay 20 to 30 dollars more to stay somewhere else. The hotel appears to be just a few weeks away from being imploaded. The care for the facility is non-existant. The crowd it attracts is low class. The room we were in hasn't had a face lift in 40 years. Tiles on the bathroom floor needed some serious scrubbing. Staff was pleasant and their buffet was enjoyable. The fact that we just need a place to lay our heads for a few hours made it bareable. If I were ataying for a few days I'd not go there again. :)

Personally i wouldn't recomend this casino to anyone. When we first came to the hotel around 3pm for check in the line was wraped around the lobby. We waited an hour and a half to get to a non smoking room with stanes on the floor, broken bedds and a mold smell comming from the bathroom. We complained and were emediatly upgrated to a similar room only with new carpet and new beds. What a joke this place is. Dont even bother with attempting to reach the front desk for any help, they never pickup.

They definitely need bigger beds and pillows. The customer service counter where you get your players cards was unproffesional. I hate seeing peoples gum and tongue coming out of their mouths while I am trying to talk to them.

The Room smelled like they were trying to cover up smoke in a non-smoking room. The old lumpy mattress needed to be changed out. Old televisions on scratched up dressers. If the Sahara wants to Improve it's image...start with fresh rooms, clean carpets and new furniture including mattresses!

You basically get what you paid for!!! Cheap room not the best bed, but hey had a place to shower and get a little sleep.

Decor needs updating! Rooms are clean, but have some wear and tear since furniture is old! This is a hotel on the monorail which is something you should take advantage of! Avoid the buffet it is overpriced and disgusting! Overall we got what we paid for!!!

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the Sahara hotel for 5 nights and found our experience extremely enjoyable. Central location and excellent value. Monorail station in hotel is very convenient, room very spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend to travellers who want reasonable accommodation. Overall we were very happy with our experience at Sahara.

We arrive at Sahara at 1am after a long drive on a Friday night thinking that it wouldn't be a problem checking in. When we got there, there was a huge line of people checking in. There was about 50 people ahead of us and three to four people working the check-in counter. It took us about an hour to just check in. So we get to our room then we got to bed at 3am. We didn't have a good sleep as the A/C was not working properly. It wasn't blowing cold air. We told the front desk and they put us up in a different room. And the A/C was fine in the second room. The faucet by the bath tub has a very slow constant leak. It would not stop. It's hard to believe after reading a sign posted in the bathroom about how the hotel is trying to be environmentally conscious. Also the second room smelled like cigarettes.

WE ALWAYS STAY AT THE SAHARA WHEN WE ARE IN LAS VEGAS. THE ROOMS ARE NICE AND THE STAFF THERE IS EVEN BETTER.

Room wasn't clean daily,towels, toilet papers, etc must be inplace, room bad odor need to be address too & toilet need repair (continues water leak from the tank to the bolw)

Will not stay again

-Waited for 30 minuted for checking -in. -Hotel charged additional $6.00 at checking on top of hotels.com price. -Carpet was wet in the room. Called room service - noone answered. - A/C was not keeing up with LA heat.

The first thing I noticed when I walked into my room was how rundown it looked. I went to take off my watch a place it on the dresser, when bugs started to run around!!! The pillows were AT LEAST 10 years old and absolutely disgusting!! It was an awful night sleeping there and I would not go back! Sleep with your clothes ON if you stay there!

I pre-registered over the phone with my preferences, when I got there they wouldn't let me do a pre-check-in early. Told me to come back at noon; when I did there was a long line which took me an hour to get to front. There was 16 windows and only 2 employees working check-in on a holiday weekend. They didn't have the room I asked for, they didn't have the refrigerator I pre-ordered and the staff wasn't very friendly. The room had stuff on the carpet, cigarette burns on bedspread and some kind of nasty stain all over the bathroom walls. You could hear the toilets running in adjacent rooms. Some of the shops in the lobby didn't open up until several hours after their posted time. The buffet was priced different than the sign posted throughout the hotel..almost twice as much charged. The food wasn't kept at proper temperatures and the staff at the restaurant was rude and unhelpful.

When I am staying in hetel and opened tap ,some dirty water(it seems to be drinage water) came to the room.I felt very bad the day and wasted my time room.

The air conditioning did not appear to be working in the room or hallways, and the beds were very small and uncomfortable.

The Black Jack dealers are homely and impersonal. Rude.

Long wait to check in. 1 hour 10 minutes. Hotel clerk was rude. Older hotel in Vegas worn furnishings and carpet. No one could answer our questions and we seemed to be a bother to them.

I had one night in LV & thought that the rennovated Sahara would be a great place to get the ambience of the strip. My Holiday Inn Express has better service & rooms. Long, long line to check in, with only 3 clerks - toilet didn't flush all the way and the lamps were scary to turn on as the lightbulb bases were loose. As a casino, its great, as a hotel - I've had better. (Buffet wasn't too great either-certainly glad I got half price)

The casino in the Sahara is pretty good. Not many hotels on the strip offer $5 blackjack anymore. The Sahara not only had $5 tables, but $1 tables. A good place to stay for gamblers on a budget. The room could have used a little improvement. The bathroom had shampoo and soap, but no lotion, which comes in very handy in such a dry climate. The shower head needed to be replaced, and the TV was fuzzy. Overall, I got what I paid for, which was not bad but could be better.

I stayed at this hotel because they offered one of the cheapest prices on the strip. I got what I paid for. When you walk in there is a stench in the air & the halls and rooms smell like cigarettes. The feel of the room is more like a motel not a hotel. If you just need a place to lay your head then go for it but don't spend too much, not worth it!!

The front desk was not sympathetic. The fitted carpet was not clean and the swimming pool closed at 7 PM. Fortunately the price is good...

It was worth the money I paid, nothing more...We had some maintenance issues but they were taken care of in a timely fashion.

the room was WAY outdated, bed was very uncomfortable.. the 1st room they put me in the TV didnt work and it didnt smell all that great so they upgraded me to something slightly better with a working tv.. over hotel wasnt bad for the price but i wouldnt really stay there again. ive been to nicer hotels in las vegas for the same price if not better. everything in the rooms could use some updating but keep in mind it is an old hotel/casino so its bound to have some issues.

Not the cleanest, fanciest hotel, but for the price it's relatively clean and on the strip... it also has monorail access tho we didn't try it since we had our own car... one complaint is that our hotel "card" keys didn't work at first, so i tried to call downstairs to let the front desk know... good luck trying to get a hold of anyone... they don't answer the phone... i had to go all the way back downstairs to let the front desk know only for the same woman i originally got them from to give me an evil stare and "supposedly" give me another set of keys which again didn't work... knowing that i wasn't going to get the front desk to answer again to send someone up to the 11th floor with some hotel keys that did work, i called the bell desk... they came up with different keys that worked and jokingly let us know that "sometimes the front desk doesn't do their job right." Anyways, we only stayed one night which was fine... the pool was pretty packed... wish they had a separate kiddie pool, but everything else seemed fine...

I came in June 27th 2009, long line, only 3 employees at the registration took like 45 mins. Then I was sent to the free slot play , and took another 40 minutes in Line, Total waste of Time, Thats my only complain. I was extremely pissed because they waste my time. Next time I am coming in at midnight.

The Sahara hotel casino is one of the older hotels in Las Vegas, and you can tell, However,for the price it is a great hotel. No room service though.

The hotel was really nice and not very expensive. We had a great time.

For the price it was good if your not expecting to munh easy access because of the monorail

The Sahara might not have all the glamour of the surrounding casinos, but it is priced right and located on the newly built tram.

Although the pool area was outstanding, the rooms are pretty outdated. We also asked specifically for a king or queen and were stuck with twin beds and a view of a roof, cables, and air conditioners. Very disappointed with view but otherwise staff was friendly, received coupon to use at any inhouse restaurant, and easy access to rooms.

The Bathroom was not very clean it had hair every where in the bathroom.

Overall, excellent stay. However... While at my stay at the Sahara, i don't think they vacummed my room for the 4 days i was there.

I like how cheap it was, and the stay was exactly what I paid for. I do wish they cleaned the rooms and sheets everyday, but we weren't there long.

The SAhara was fantastic. My room was clean and neat. Check in was a breeze. The food onsite was very good and affordable. The pool schene was to die for. Pool side bar and a very relaxing place. Check out took less than a minute. All in all I thought it was great for the price..

Initially when we arrived I was very pleased with the outside appearance of the hotel. Unfortunately the room they gave us had not been cleaned so I was very upset until they gave us a free upgrade to a king suite with a balcony and a view to kill for....the entire strip to the left the stratosphere to the right and the mountains straight ahead I was only at the stratosphere for one night and the next night we were going to the MGM Grand but to tell you the truth I did not want to leave and the Grand was not $200 better.

One of the beds was leaning to the left.. My view was of the garage.. The room looked old..

great hotel and service

Hotel looked old (which it is) and dated. Room was not clean: Sheets had stains, bathroom was not cleaned, dirt and dust piled on the bathroom floor and fixtures; the actual room was dirty, it appeared the hospitality staff did not bother to vacuum the carpet prior to our arrival, there were pieces of plastic and what appeared to be used gum or a yogo on the floor; markings on the wall; there appeared to be water damage on the bottom of the entrance door to the room.

The staff was very friendly, but the A/C wasn't working!! It's Vegas!! Very easy check in. No waitress on the pool area

For the price I paid, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way! The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel had a great pool area.

Been to Las Vegas many times and Sahara is a very nice place to stay. Servce was good and many good places to eat.

THIS HOTEL DID MEET MOST OF MY EXPECTATIONS FOR THE PRICE I PAID, ALTHOUGH THE BATHROOM COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE CLEANER. LOCATION OF HOTEL WAS EASILY ACCESSIBLE TO ALL GROUND TRANSPORTATION 24HRS A DAY WHICH IS A PLUS IN LAS VEGAS. OVERALL I ENJOYED MY STAY!

the hotel it self needs a lot of work. I know its a old hotel and for the price really wasn't to bad. The first room i checked into, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned and the A/C didn't work. I will say that the service was better then most of the other hotels i've stayed in. Within minutes of my call to the front desk about the bathroom not being clean, I had someone knocking on the door. I asked about the A/C and they had someone else out to look at it. They ended up changing my room.

The hotel room was not as you would find at the MGM Grand or Rio, but it was decent. Room was outdated although thats why the price is so good. The casino was great, the buffet was good. Cant complain much.....it was better then I expected.

I enjoyed this hotel,but it was really far away from everything exciting! All of the popular places where on the opposite side of the strip.

had a great time, great location, great staff.

Like the jucuzzi and swimming pool excellent resturaunts.

price was a bargain so we didn't have great expectations...it was ok though

The rooms are so dirty and there is insects roaming around in the rooms. beside the bad smell in the corridors.
