Ohio University Inn & Conference Center - Athen

I was informed that check in time was 3:00, but our room was not ready until 6:10. The excuse was that a contract group occupying a number of the rooms did not check out at the appointed time. When we did get the room, it contained two double beds rather than the "king" that I requested. At that point, I thought it futile to complain or ask for another room.

Desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The desk manager seemed shocked that housekeeping had cleared the room for a new guest without fully cleaning the room. The bathroom hadn't been touched by housekeeping with towels left on floor, used soap and some type of body powder on the counter. So, they've got a process issue that needs reviewed. I was given another room which was great. I recommend staying here if you need to be close to campus or hospital.

This by far was the best hotel I stayed at. Everthing was fantastic. If I had to say something was wrong it would be that the hotel did not provide a breakfast that the others do.

I was pleasently surprised with the University Inn I liked the style of Inn the size and cleanlyness of the room and my wife and I enjoyed haveing a drink in there Bar-Resaurant Area.

My girlfriends and I met in Athens for a mini-OU-reunion. I was suprised how close the Inn was to campus...when I was in school it seemed like it was miles away! We walked to Court Street in a matter of minutes. (p.s. don't take a cab...we did that once and it was $19...we got screwed!) The room was in very good shape and was very clean. My only complaint (which worked in our favor) was that hotels.com said the rooms had "two double beds" so I booked two rooms for 5 people. But when we got there, they had two QUEEN beds. So we cancelled one room (no cancellation fee!), got a cot, and made it a slumber party. The refund didn't show up on my credit card, so I had to call hotels.com, who had to call the Inn to confirm it. Would have been easier if the site had just said "two queen beds" in the first place. On con: There is no food onsite with the exception of a couple of vending machines. Other than that the reservation and our stay were perfect. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The toilet was not working properly but they did offer to move us. The price was reasonable since we booked it off season. I will pick a newer hotel over this one if I have to pay an in season high price.

This hotel was very convenient and the staff was very friendly. We tried the restaurant and the bar and both were excellent. Nice location.

The restaurant in the hotel was great. The food was excellent.

This was clearly the best hotel in Athens. A cut above the chains in service. Best room service steak I have ever had. If you have business on campus or in downtown Athens, location is premier.

Our second stay at The O.U. Inn and it won't be our last. From check-in to check-out the staff was polite and helpful. Great location in Athens and within a comfortable walk to campus activity. The restaurant and bar are pricey but offer excellent quality and service. The standard room with King-size bed was beyond comfortable and the shower head is one of the BEST I have ever seen! If you are going to be in Athens, you won't regret staying at the O.U. Inn.

Ou inn was clean and made a good overnight trip. The noise in the hallways was a little distracting but overall we had a nice stay. The beds were very comfy.

Un ottimo hotel sotto tutti i punti di vista. Proprio di fronte all' ohio university e a quattro passi dall'incantevole downtown di athens. la camera era perfetta, il servizio eccellente. Godetevi la bella piscina all'aperto!
