Modernes Haus. Zimmer sehr geräumig und gut eingerichtet. Personal ist sehr bemüht um den Kunden und zeichnet sich durch freundlichkeit aus.

The hotel is in a very cool, trendy neighborhood in Berlin and doesn't look or appear like a traditional hotel at all. Luxury boutiques and high end shops abound within a three block radius. The Brandenburg Gate, Reichstagg, and Potsdammer Platz are all within a 15 minute easy walk. Alexander Platz and the various island museums are also roughly the same distance away. The rooms were very modern, had full kitchens, balconies, and TONS of space - even in the Studio sized room. These are basically very nicely furnished apartments, not your typical hotel room. The front desk was VERY accommodating - they allowed an early check out and arranged for a taxi to arrive for an airport trip at 4 a.m. with ease. They all spoke fluent English, German and Russian, which was handy. One thing to note is that there is not someone on site at the front desk all night, which can be disconcerting for some. A full security staff was present at the outer doors through the main plaza, however.

The staff at the Mandala Suites was incredibly friendly and helpful. As a first-time traveler to Germany, I had a number of questions and requests, and was met with a friendly smile, impeccable English skills, and targeted, helpful answers or advice each time. The room was comfortable and aesthetically superb. The location, right on Friedrichstrasse, is ideal for business travelers and for tourists. Many famous attractions are literally within a 10-15 minute walk. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with this hotel and would definitely recommend them to all travelers.

There is no concierge on staff and the hotel staff was useless at providing helpfule information for tourists. In addition, the office closed early and so there was no staff available to check us in after hours. A security guard has to give us our room keys.

Whilst not cheap the Mandala suite offered a great space for a five night stay in Berlin. Our mid range suite was very spacious and offered everything you could want.It's worth taking one of their expensive breakfasts just to enjoy the breakfast room but the kitchen area and fridge meant we could look after ourselves for breakfast and other light meals. Fantastic loction since you could step out of the door and be down the well connected U bahn within one minute or get a coffee and sandwich at local cafe or walk a few minutes to Lafayette food hall or walk five minutes to Checkpoint Charlie etc.

Mandala is not your typical hotel . The room we had is was actually a spacious suite more like a small apartment including a kitchen. But what you will not find is a typical lobby or staff that is on duty all day & night. Our room was a large studio-type apartment. It appears to be nearly new. I measured it as about 700 sq-feet which is huge by even U.S. standards. Furnishings are quite nice. Styling & decoration is typical upper-scale European. There is a small, but complete galley kitchen which is stocked with pots, pans and dishes. You could actually cook a meal here, except that you would not find a dinning or kitchen table to sit down at. The room has a nice balcony of adequate size, but lacking any outdoor furniture. The bathroom is very large and, well appointed. All told, the room is very large, comfortable & more like nice apartment. One interesting benefit was that many of the service that a more traditional hotel would charge extra for are provided free. This includes use of the laundry facilities, loan of bikes (which you’ll need to reserve), Internet connection, use of hotel computers, etc. There is a very attractive breakfast room on the 8th floor. We did not take advantage of it as we fell into out typical “time-share vacation” behavior & filled the small refrigerator with breakfast, snacks, cheese & wine from the grocery store 2 blocks away. If a beautiful, open lobby staffed by concierge, bellmen and receptionist is what you are looking for, this is not the place for you. The staff is small, but very helpful & efficient. One of the young ladies spent nearly an hour dealing with a theater to purchase ticket for us. They provide information on local transportation & such, but come evening, they are gone & you are on your own. All & all, we loved the accommodations & would return in a heartbeat if we were to spend more time in Berlin.

I stayed in the Mandala Suites for 3 nights whilst the Euro 2008 Football championships was going on. This is relevant because in the same building as the hotel is a sports bar and restaurant which is very good. This is a suites concept and therefore the reception is not available after 10.30pm which is a bit of a pain. Otherwise no complaints and the front desk staff could not have been more helpful.

The hotel has more of a feel of apartments in the city. There is no formal large lobby or hotel restaurant. Instead, there is a main office, where several very helpful staff are available. The rooms are like a small apartment, with large bedroom with sitting area, kitchenette, outdoor patio, and excellent bathroom. For those looking for the amenities of a large franchise hotel, this place won't have the right feel. But, if one is looking for a large (very large by European standards) room, this place is great.

Perfekt beliggenhed og meget rummelig lejligheder. Komplekset som hotellejlighederne ligger i er kønsløst og med kold atmosfære - men selve lejlighederne er rigtig gode og hyggelige.

Vi overnattede 2 dage på mandala suites, og vi har kun positive ting af sige. Det lå super, værelserne var smagfuldt dekorerede, masser af plads, god oprydning mellem de to overnatninger vi havde, flot betjening også på engelsk.

Jeg havde en enkelt overnatning på hotellet og var meget tilfreds. Jeg fik virkelig en suite og det overraskede mig meget. Prisen var meget fair set i førnævnte perspektiv. Jeg vil helt sikkert bo der igen

Ren colonial style lejligheder med lækkert bad, stue og soveafd. Morgenmad i særklasse, maksimalt udvalg i minimal stil, delikat og meget indbydende. Hotellet er super centralt beliggende.

We arrived late and although the reception was closed we picked up our access card and information at security and had no problems settling in. A very large, new, clean, comfortable i bdrm suite with kitchen facing a quiet street and in a good location. Our highest recommendation although underground parking is a bit expensive (18 Euros/night).
