Das praktische an diesem Hotel ist einzig die Nähe zu den wichtigsten Strassen. Sonst ist es mit hellhörigen Wänden und kleinen Räumen ausgestattet. Die Sauberkeit war gerade noch ok. Zum Wochenende sind Partypeople unterwegs, was man auch noch lange und gut hören kann. In der Verlängerung der Strasse und damit in der direkten Umgebung ist es mit Peep Shows und schmuddeligen Geschäften nicht für Kinder oder ängstliche Leute geeignet. Für kurze Aufenthalte gerade noch ok

Staff really make the stay worthwhile. The paint in the room was ugly brown, but I left that info for management on their info card. They are improving the area for the Olympics I guess, it will be better by the end of the year.

Overall not a bad place. A little run down but great location if you want to be in the heart of downtown but be aware it may get loud. Front desk person was great and helpful. Also if you have a rental car I recommend parking on the street because it is free.

We were rented a room in a suite that should never be open to the public. From midnight- 4 am, we were treated to a disco under our room. The staff was sympathetic, but since they were full, there was nothing they could do. This room should never have been rented to anyone. This is a rundown hotel in a less than nice part of town. Because of this experience, I will never stay at another Ramada Inn anywhere, ever again.

I wasn't expecting this hotel to be so old. It was clean but the rooms are very small and the elevators sway. Coffee maker outlet didn't work. Front desk people were pleasant but indifferent. Parking is practically non-existent. All in all it was ok but no great experience. I wouldn't recommend it.

Stayed here because of its location - in downtown, walking distance to Robson Street, Stanley park and Granville. Other than that, not much going for this hotel. The room we got was tiny - with a queen bed, a TV, an armchair and a tiny desk, there was hardly enough room to walk around, and next to no room to store our luggage. The bathroom was more roomy in comparision - much bigger than what I have seen in other comparable hotels. Parking here is a scam. The hotel says it offers secure paid parking, but thats only about 10 spots. The valets park your car out on the streets or in public parking lots, and you have to give them a 15 minute notice if you need your car - so you can't go out on the spur of the moment. Other than that, the hotel itself was okay. A bit old and worn, with some stairwells stinking of cigarette smoke, but on the whole well maintained. If you are going to stay out all day and just need a place to sleep at night (like we did), this hotel is a good deal.

The room itself is small, but the huge bathroom totally makes up for it.

Despite the great beds, it was way too noisy. I expected the "suite" to have the beds in separate rooms ( I wanted a suite to spare others my snoring) but the beds were in the same room with a sofa-bed, tv and desk in the other room. Also the walls were not very clean--a concern when travelling with a toddler. Staff brought up a crib, but did not offer to set it up.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I've stayed at the Pender St. Ramada too, but this has a newer feel to it. My room was clean and spacious, with a large TV and lovely ensuite. The heating was good, the room quiet (considering it's in the heart of Downtown.). Only niggle was the poor wireless connectivity - the connection dropped regularly.

TV didn't work and the wireless internet was very slow when it actually worked.

Fairly nice hotel condition wise, the price was a little high for what you got in return. The rooms were real comfortable and the beds were top notch. Some of the little things bugged me though with no fridge option or microwave option but maybe cause they didn't want food in their rooms. The elevator there was a little bit scary as it made a lot of noise as we used it and wasnt the most responsive elevator. Overall though if you want a safe place to stay in vancouver that provides parking ($15)its a good stay.

Perfect location for the night life. RIght on the same strip as good bars and clubs, kind of noisy and the neighborhood is crawling with the homeless, but I was satisfied for what we paid for sure.

This Ramada Inn is well priced. The location is not in the best of neighborhoods, there is an adult video stores down the block. The police station is nearby so safety was never an issue. There is a real gym nearby where hotel guest can use free of charge. A good stay with good value.

overall the stay was good, they could use better housekeeping help, but I do recommend it.

The room smelled of moisture, probably, because its raining all the time and the room was completely closed and never opened for fresh air to pass through let alone give it time to dry.

This hotel is priced like a 3-star downtown hotel, but, the building is relatively run down. The rooms primarily look out to light-wells meaning your view is of other rooms windows. There are odd smells in the elevators and other parts of the building. There's a sign near the entry asking for quiet time after 11PM, but, part of the ground floor is rented out to a night club that is clearly audible on the 3rd floor all the way to the back of the building. The hotel is extremely convenient to Granville Island, downtown, and busses to just about anywhere. However, it's also pretty close to the Granville St. party district, hooker central, and some less-than-desirable areas.

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. It has always been clean. They were having help issues one of the days we were there so the room was cleaned later than usual but ok. The rooms are small but nice. The location is ideal for Granville Island and Stanely park just to name a few close visitor spots.

The location of the hotel was amazing. Right in the heart of downtown. Everything was right outside the door. The hotel itself was in good condition but it was rather small for the price. If it was a little bit roomier, it would've been a little more convenient. The desk clerks were very helpful with giving us directions and giving us good advice.

The rooms are clean, and in a good location - although a little noisy at night as there are 2 pubs downstairs

this hotel was in an excellent location for going to the bars and such. however, i wouldnt go alone. the room was small but nice. what i was expecting for the price! i would definitely recommend this hotel

The most impressing thing about this hotel was that wireless internet was free and connection was so smooth!(Normal hotel's connection was so slow, drops a lot.) The room was kinda small but it was nice experience, I really enjoyed that.

If you plan to sleep at night this hotel isn't the best place. It was very loud as the hotel rooms are right above a night club. Also they say that valet parking is 15.00 but when we arrived and said we did not want valet parking..we just need to park our own car, parking is also 15.00 per night!!! The only other parking within walking distance is street parking with pay meters! You can hear through the walls very clearly. Walking down the hallway u can hear the televisions from each individuals rooms as u passed by.

This hotel was a total waste of money. The nightclub was booming until 4am-- and because I booked it through hotels.com they would not refund my money. I got no sleep at all!!!

The Ramada is a decent place, with definite advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are that it has a jacuzzi; free WiFi (though not the smoothest, at times, and the signal was also weak, at times); a great location (lots of stuff is only blocks away, if even that); and really comfy beds all at a pretty decent price (at least, the Hotels.com rate was ok, and especially the 4th night free promo, without these, I'd say it was definitely NOT worth it). The disadvantages are that you can forget about hot water any day between 8am and 9am, it's warm at best; the walls are not so thick and you can hear too much; the key card for the elevator is annoyingly semi-functional; and local phone calls are charged (I hate this cheap ploy at any hotel), and the long distance to the U.S. is absolutely ridiculous (over a buck a minute).

This hotel offered a reasonable price and comfort for an expensive area. However, its location in downtown is not for families and children. It it closely located to the seedier side of Vancouver and not a comfortable walk from any points near the waterfront.

The desk service was friendly, but took a long time to service the next person. The hotel from the outside was a bit run down looking, but it was not my main concern in selecting a hotel. I was looking for a decent place to sleep at while visiting the city as a tourist, so that part sufficed. The rooms were small (I had a party of 4), but at least it was clean. I also don't know if it was just our luck that we got placed in a small room closest to the elevator and stairways. The walls are paper thin, but I guess many hotels are like this. We had a view of the main street (Granville) so there were pros and cons. Pros: we get to see all the things that happen on the streets, all the people passing by, the nightlife, etc. Cons: We got to see an old man undress in his room right across the street from us, the we heard all the noises from the streets too, including traffic and loud, drunk 20-somethings, which wasn't a problem when we were all awake, but when it was time to sleep, it was a bit of a problem. Parking is NOT FREE or part of the original bill. It is separate and not noted when your first check in, so when checking out, it was a surprize additional fee of approx. $15 a night (tax not incl.). If I knew this, I would've drove around shopping for better prices at the near by lots. I've stayed in many types of hotels, motels, hostels, etc. so as long as I got a place to sleep and a nice shower, I'm content. As far as the cost of the hotel, I don't think it really justified the overall experience of the stay.

the room is small. the hallway has a bad smell. the phone did not work. the key did not work well in the elevator or room. the service was slow and I was ignored once. I also caught a bed bug running into the sheet. I am still trying to figure out the charges they placed on my card.

Very overpriced considering other newer hotels in the same area at less cost per night.Front desk was understaffed and in fact had disconected the telephone system from receiving inbound calls for over one hour. The keycards failed most times when using the elevator or for room entry. I would not use this facility again.

The room was VERY small. We got stuck in the elevator, and the alarm was not audible in the lobby. The lobby was situated in between two clubs. The rooms were noisy until the clubs closed.

Good spot to stay close to alot of places and very near the pier,if you are cruising. Hotel desk service very helpful.

I would not go out after dark in this area of town.

The hotel is clean, but the rooms are very small and there are no views unless you are towards the top floors, and not in the rear of the hotel. Service is good, price is okay.
