The Willows Hotel - Chicago

Excellent hotel - good choice of items for breakfast. Adrian was great with anything we needed. Have recommended this hotel to others going to Chicago and would definitely stay there again.

Although it was a rainy weekend, The Willows provided a wonderful temporary 'home'. The room was comfy with the best hotel bathroom I've seen in a long time. The staff was helpful and friendly, and we did not miss the use of an elevator. Breakfast was lovely - just enough, good variety. I would go back again any time I visit Chicago.

We really liked the comfortable beds with their cozy comforters and wonderful large pillows. It was a great night's sleep. The staff was friendly and we would defintely stay there again.

Some of the rooms are small but its worth it, much better then a big chain hotel.. So room and beautiful i would very much recomend.

This hotel is abt a $10 cab ride from downtown, We walked to the Wrigley Field and loved the stores and people on the way. Your not in the city but not that far. I loved it, the old hotel was beautiful, it even had continental Breakfast, which i had not realised. Ive stayed in a lot of hotels but for a more compfort feeling vaca i liked this hotel very much.

Future guests. Don't leave anything in your closet when you leave. It won't be returned. We left two jackets hanging in the closet. Called when we got home and relaized we left them hanging in the closet. Called and talked to John and he said to call back the next day as housekeeping wasn't in. I called the next morning and talked to Anthony he checked lost and found and nothing was turned in. I told him nothing would be turned in except by housekeeping as one needed to opent the closet door to find the jackets. He said he would leave a note for housekeeping. I call a few days later to no avail. So don't leave anything..........and don't call.........

The hotel lobby and room were attractive, clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a variety of items and choices. Coffee and tea were available in the lobby all day. The location was quiet adn attractive with easy access to Lincoln Park and publice transportation to other city areas. Staff were helpful and informative. Parking was convenient to the hotel and reasonable.

It was great over all, not as busy as the big hotels, was close to everything a little bit of a trek to wrigley field but not too bad wont be able to wear heels! Our room was lovely for what we wanted clean and nice big king bed, i didnt find the room too small but it was just the two of us. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitly go back and stay again, wish it was a little bit cheaper though.

The Willows hotel is a very quaint hotel in a great neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was smaller than expected, but very comfortable.

Stay here every time I am in Chicago. Good hotel and the neighborhood is great. Very convenient to downtown too.

Very clean and nice hotel within walking distance of Wrigley Field.

My husband and I were at a wedding outside Wrigley Field and needed a nice and comfortable hotel nearby. We were with the wedding party until midnight, and when we came to the hotel, we were greeted by a very friendly employee who, despite the time, made sure we knew the conveniences they offered and showed us the way to our room. The room was small, but very cute, clean, and the bed was so comfortable! We only slept there one night and left early the next morning. It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and perfect for what we needed.

My family stayed at the Willows for a 3 day "getaway". It was clean, comfortable, and quiet with helpful staff and a nice breakfast. Very convenient for travel to Wrigley, Lincoln Park zoo, and an easy bus or train ride to downtown/Navy Pier/etc. The neighborhood itself had nice restaurants, shopping. We'd definitely stay again!

Clost to Wrigley Field which was our main intention. Only 2 blocks from bus that takes you downtown.

Overall, decent hotel. Building is Victorian style and room furnishings match the era. Breakfast and snacks are very nice touch. Picked this hotel because I thought it was close to Boystown, but it is a good 15 min walk to the edge of it. Hundreds of tiny flies showed up all over the tub and sink when I went to the bathroom in the morning. Strange because the windows were closed and could not even be opened. It looked very eerie, esp if you are scared of bugs.

Lovely Hotel, Clean great breakfast and service the desk clerks during the daya nd afternoon are what made it wonderful. It felt like I was staying with friends.

We stayed at the Willows and enjoyed our accommodations very much. The service and staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient to our needs and we enjoyed having the continental breakfast available each morning. We would stay at the Willows again.

The only problem we had was the cleaning lady kept comming to the door to clean the room the next day, check out was not until 11:00am and we wern't planning on leaving until then.

This was really a nice surprise. The staff was wonderful. The one thing that was annoying was the room smelled of cigarette smoke. I did not ask for a non smoking room I had assumed that all hotels were non smoking. My error.

The pictures on line were deceitful, the square footage of our room was like staying in Grandma's extra room. But the bed was very comfy and we were close to everything we needed. Short cab ride to Wrigley and plenty to do around the hotel! Elevator was down, walked up four flights no biggie, quiet area but rooms outdated.

The hotel from the outside looks great, the service is very frendily and the breakfast is wonderful but the elevator wasn't working, the pictures on line made the rooms square footage look much bigger than it really was. I felt like I was at grandma's house in her spare room. The bathroom was ok but the floor was slanting and a little old. But the location was wonderful, next to everything and within a short cab ride to Wrigley and lots of bars. Overall the price was a little high for the quality of room but the overall experience as good.

i really enjoyed my stay @ The Willows....small room but just right!...i was n walkn distance 2 a lot of resturants,stores......& a bus away from the magnif.mile...

Great location, with Wrigleyville right outside. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. They do provide parking for an extra fee.

The Willows is a perfect location for anyone attending a Cubs game and looking for a nearby hotel. The price is a little high, but it is worth it.

A little difficult to get to. Short walk from bus lines, but quite a trek from "el" trains. Nice neighborhood. Short walk to Lincoln park zoo.

I got this hotel for a great price, which was good because I would have been unhappy if I had paid more because it seemed a little run down. The elevator was teeny so we took the very steep stairs... to the fourth floor... not recommended for the out-of-shape. Our room was constantly as hot as a sauna - we could not figure out how to turn down the radiator (although we were pretty sure it wasn't on) and we could not open the window. The bathroom floor was extremely slippery - especially after a shower and my husband I both nearly fell on it several times. Overall, it was like staying in your grandmother's house - cute, with character, but could use some updating just for safety and comfort's sake! It was very close to LOTS of shopping and restaurants which was a GREAT bonus. The parking was convenient - you can park on the street or in the garage.

Charming European-style hotel. We happened to be there on Earth Hour night. When we arrived, Eddie at the front desk told us that the hotel would be honoring Earth Hour by turning out all of the lobby lights and lighting candles. He asked that we turn our our room lights if we were going out for the evening. My daughter and I were indeed going out, but we returned to a candle-lit lobby. The hotel staff were serving complimentary wine and snacks, and a violinist was playing beautiful music for the gathered guests. I don't think that's the usual Saturday night line-up, but what a treat!

This hotel was wonderful! It was in a great location right in Lakeview which is just next to Boys Town and Wrigleyville which are very fun neighborhoods. It was just a step outside to cool bars, great restaurants and buses. The other best part of this hotel? The breakfast! They had fruits, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, coffee and cereal. Thanks Willows Hotel!

Just as a disclaimer- my boyfriend and I are both 21 yrs old and we stayed here during our spring break. I know not a lot of businesses take a couple of college undergrads very seriously, but we received excellent, professional customer service for the duration of our stay. It was a true pleasure coming back to the warmth and comfort of our hotel room after exploring the windy city (and yes, it is windy!). The hotel is located about four blocks away from the train station and is surrounded by a great number of restaurants, shops, and bars. Just to list the accommodations we loved the most: guest access to the nearby Bally Fitness gym, the complimentary breakfast (which was delicious and nutritious), the fast, wireless internet, and the courteous staff. The hotel is gorgeously furnished, but it felt much more home-y than stuffy. The Willows hotel completely exceeded my expectations.

Beautiful hotel built in the 1920's. The beds were fairly comfortable. The only bad thing about the stay was that the elevator was out and it was not a problem unless you had a lot of luggage, which we did.

The Hotel was clean and the staff was nice. However, there was NO ELEVATOR! there was an elevator, but it was out of order. We were on the fourth floor and we had to walk. Walking up 4 flights of stairs was no big deal, but with our bags and the fact that the stair case was old and tight, it wasn't fun. An offer of help from the staff would have been nice. GREAT location, but I was disappointed overall.

The hotel staff was kind and helped me with directions when I was leaving. The rooms on the first floor ace an alley that people walk by. Although its not a "bad" neighbor hood, this was a bit unsettling.

Very small rooms, if your going for historically old, this is the place. Old elevators, they are being redone soon, we were told, otherwise it was fine

The Willows was a great value for the price. Front desk staff was very attentive, continental breakfast was an added bonus and it's located in a nice neighborhood. I'd stay there again.

The staff is so warm and helpful. The free breakfast is also more than was expected. Great location for that specific part of town.

I loved the elevator! I half expected to see an attendant asking me which floor I was headed to. The breakfast was much more than the normal cereal and juice continental breakfast I see in most hotels. Staff was friendly. I parked in the garage 1/2 a block away for $19 for the night. The bed was very comfy and everthing was very clean. I'd stay here again for sure.
