grosser Lichthof mit wunderschoen angelegtem Garten, nachts in effektvolles Licht getaucht / Rezeption 24 Stunden geoeffnet, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal / Essens- und Getraenkeautomat / kostenlose Gepäckaufbewahrung am Abreisetag / Fruehstueck ist inklusive (und fuer Verhaeltnisse amerikanischer Hotels dieser Kategorie sehr ordentlich, lecker und reichlich), gute Fruehstueckszeiten (bis 10 Uhr) / sehr verkehrsguenstig gelegen: die Buslinien #19 und #20 (ca. 15-20 Min. Fahrzeit nach Downtown) und #25 (zur UBC) halten quasi vor der Haustuer, zur naechsten SkyTrain-Station ("Nanaimo") sind es weniger als 10 Minuten Fussweg (von dort ca. 10 Min. Fahrzeit nach Downtown) / reichlich Parkplaetze am Haus vorhanden / gute Infrastruktur in der unmittelbaren Umgebung: Waschsalon, kleine Lebensmittel- und Gemischtwarenlaeden, McDonalds (24 Stunden geoeffnet), Tankstelle usw. Fazit: ich habe mich dort wohl gefuehlt und kann das Hotel wirklich sehr empfehlen.

Weiter vom Stadtzentrum entfernt als erwartet Verbindung zum Stadzentrum mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln schwierig, mit Auto gut Hotel war iO

The Beds in the room was really hard. Plus the room was really small for what we paid for the room. The spend more money on the garden than they do on rooms.

Hotel was neat & clean, tho' I agree, bathroom too cramped. Housekeeping got a little sloppy mid-point, they had full house so a bit overwhelmed. Main drawback, lack of non-ethnic "eateries" close by. But it worked out well.

The bathroom was too small, rest everything was quite satisfactory.

It was very dingy. Very bad carpet and uncomfortable beds. But the staff was very helpful and nice.

The bathroom was small, especially for somewhat is a bit weight-challenged. Air conditioning was good and well appreciated. Did not like having to get room card key reset every night to get into the room. Had gas siphoned from tank when had to park in back lot, which did not appear to have security cameras. No refrigerator.

Amazingly beautiful and well maintained courtyard. It made the hotel.

Everything we needed to have a wonderful time in Vancover. We rented a car at Budget several blocks away. Free parking with complimentary map from front desk to specific destinations. Very easy to drive to Capilano Bridge, Grouse Mt., Chinatown, Victory Island Ferrie, etc. If you don't want to drive, a bus stop is right outside. Great restaurant across the street with delicious food and reasonable prices. Free breakfast was sufficient to start your day. (Pastries, bagels, ceral, fruit, beverages) Location makes it easy to visit many attractions. No elevator but the hotel only has 2 floors and the staff will help with luggage if necessary. Quite and comfortable room with nice garden view. Real value for your money, nothing fancy but suitable. If you don't need frills but want value and cleanliness, this is the best you will find. Very satisfied!

This location is near the pier that the cruise ships leave from. It is near a bus stop that goes to Stanley Park, China Town, Gas Town, Canada Place, etc. Free continental breakfast, very clean rooms, very helpful and friendly staff, lovely courtyard and great deal for the price.

My wife & I stay in the hotel was pleasant. Some of things we enjoyed about the hotel's offerings: 1. Free parking & breakfast 2. Room card entry from back-doors 3. An open courtyard/garden in the middle of the hotel 4. Between the airport & major attractions 5. Lots of brochures for attractions in the lobby 6. Hotel provides printed directions to airport & major attractions 7. Room is clean, comfortable & spacious enough 8. Off a major street in a relatively quiet suburb 9. Close to many local restaurants 10. Seem to be in a relatively safe area Things we think can be improved include: 1. Free wireless internet from the room 2. A safe deposit box in the room Overall, a great value for the money! Thanks!

This hotel was decent and the rate was a great deal. The only real complaint I have is that I reserved a queen room and as given 2 double beds. The bed was too small and was pushed up against the wall so I had to crawl over my husband to get out of bed. Also there was not an easily accessible outlet by the desk so I had squeeze behind the bed to plug in my laptop. The location was not really what I expected. We were about 10 minutes from downtown, but since we had a car it wasn't a big deal. There was a McDonald's next door which is where the complimentary breakast voucher was for.

This hotel suited my needs in that it was a base to sleep and change my clothes while occasionally killing some time. The coffee machine was in need of replacing or a damn good scrub but i just made use of the fridge in the room for cold drinks. No problems. If you crave the downtown life then Nanaimo sky train station is a mere 10 minute walk or the bus stops just across the road. Otherwise you may wish to consider something closer to the centre as walking distance its not. Free car parking something of a rarity in vancouver was an advantage but public transport so good there's no need for a car. Not top class but good value for what I paid.

If your going to use the shower, bring your slippers.... Overall you get what you pay for....

I had very low expectations considering the price but it was nice, had a beautiful courtyard. The room was decent too. Management was polite and respectful.

Even though the price was cheap, there were some things we thought Days Inn- Vancouver Metro could improve on. A light bulb in the bedroom was missing on one of the bed lamps. I had to ask the front desk for a spare bulb twice. The floors were squeeky. The bathroom was really tiny. There was no light in the shower stall. Good points were the room was clean and spotless when we checked in. Plenty of towels and soap for my wife and I to use. And checking in was fast.

I had a good stay at this hotel, the receptionists were good except one lady who I guess doesn't know how to behave with customers. The service was good, price little high but it was worth it.

The room was very clean and I even checked the bed covers with a lint roller to look for nasty stuff and there was nothing. The bathroom was cleaned thoroughly each day. There was a hair dryer and ample amount of shampoo. The hotel's central courtyard was nice and the staff was helpful. The $2 coupons they give for breakfast are barely enough for McDonald's, but the price of the room compensated for the extra $3 you need to have a decent breakfast. I didn't like being so close to a 24 hour McDonald's though. The traffic was constant. Parking is free but during our 4-day stay somebody's windshield was broken to steal a GPS device. Interestingly, there were fancier cars in the parking lot and nothing happened to them. Probably because there was nothing tempting inside.

This hotel has the basic necessities at a good price and is close to downtown Vancouver, however you do need a car to get around. Comfortable rooms with a nice shower and clean facilities. The surrounding neighborhood isn't great but seems safe.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and overall it was a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was most pleasant and helpful. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, it is close to Vancouver's largest shopping mall, and it is only minutes away from everything. Highly recommended.

Booking was wrong when we arrived although hotel did change the room for us. The accommodation is very basic and could do with refurbishment, microwave and fridge were available in the reception area, coffee machine only in room, this is a motel rather than hotel and has nocafe/restaurant although there is a McDonalds next door and restaurants nearby! Room Service was poor, had to make our beds ourselves each evening, did get clean towels daily and room was vacuumed. Is on bus route to Vancouver and within walking distance of the wonderful Skytrain.

I was only there in passing for the night, and althought the outside and inner courtyard was appealing, the room was too small. The bathroom was too little and not too clean. Butm you do get what you paid for and it is within close driving proximity to dowtown Vancouver.

Great location - only about 10 min from downtown. The gardens on the inside of the property are beautiful. Near a bus stop that heads straight into Stanley Park. Our toilet overflowed but as soon as we called the front desk the man was there to fix it within minutes. Would totally stay there again.

We loved the Days Inn! It was cozy and clean. The beds were super comfy and the shower was great! The hotel was quite quiet considering the busy street that it is on. We found the courtyard to be a welcoming and beautiful touch. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is about a ten minute drive to downtown Vancouver. We will certainly stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice clean place to stay in Vancouver.

Hotel is located close to a bus station and very close to a McDonald. Vouchers for a small breakfast at McDonald were offered. Room was clean and had a nice size. The only negative was the noise level, because the room door had big gaps, so noise and light were coming into the room.

I guess you get what you pay for. I read the reviews and some people said they would return there however, we won't. It is a very very old hotel and it showed. The room was very small. The hotel said it had breakfast and when we inquired about it we were given $2 coupons for McDonalds. The floor creaked when we walked on it. The door leading to the parking lot slammed so hard I heard every guest coming through all night long.

when u book ask for room # 215. great view of mountain. very close to mcdonald, kfc, indian restaurant

Fairly new renovated rooms with great courtyard. Although the rooms are small, they were clean. Try not to get the rooms close to the stairs as you may be awaken by stomping feet in the middle of the night. Lots of great restaurants nearby but a little far from downtown. Overall, I'd stay there again due to price and cleanliness!

Great location easily accessible to downtown and all Vancouver neighbourhoods by walking and skytrain. The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back and recommend it to others staying in Vancouver.

Hotel OK but on very busy street not close to anything of interest. Stayed one night before leaving for cruise. $30 taxi from airport, $20 taxi to cruise ship dock. Would be better to stay at airport hotel that has free shuttle from airport and then pay for taxi to the cruise ship.
