"great location"
It is located at a gr8 location, which is in the middle of the Times Square, NY...
Die sicherlich bekanntesten Wahrzeichen New York Citys finden sich nördlich der 14. und südlich der 59. Straße bzw. in Midtown Manhattan.

von value="10""Great Location, Room a bit small, Crowd at hotel is old and snobby"
Bewertet von J aus Jersey City am Mrz 1, 2008
We stayed a total of 2 nights and did not take advantage of all the little amentities that came with the hotel. When we first arrived at the hotel, we were completely surprised at how close it is to TimesSquare. The whole NYC scene was located right outside the hotel's front steps. After arriving and checking in, we were very pleased with the appearance and the friendly hotel staff. But as our trip to NYC unrivalled, we soon began to feel that this hotel was not for us. I'll just list a couple things that will most likely deter us from staying at this place again: -Small, cramped room - TV is to the left of the bed. Most of the time the tv is at the foot of the bed so you can watch in bed. -No ice machine and mini fridge can't be moved around- This was a big one. We had to ask for ice at the front desk each time we wanted a bucket. Very inconvenient when you just want to enjoy a nice cool drink at night. -Hotel crowd is old a snobby - Another big one too. On one of the 2 mornings we stayed there, we decided to take advantage of the free breakfast served in Rick's Cafe. There we were met with a very old crowd that KEPT STARING AT US AS IF WE WERE SOME SORT OF ALIEN... We're a young couple and it might be out of the ordinary ... but we did pay for the rooms.

It is easy to see why Casablanca is rated #1 of over 300 hotels in New York City. It is a charming well maintained hotel with excellent customer service. The hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate us and assisted us with anything we needed.

The hotel's location is it's main selling point. It is literally 20 feet from Times Square, but becuase it's on a side street, it's not loud or a pain to get to. I loved being centrally located. Even though the subway goes basically everywhere, it was easier and more convenient to be able to step outside and be in the heart of it all. The hotel is quaint, and has a nice "feel" to it. It's not a 4 or 5-star place, but very nice. The room is small, but not suffocating. The one thing I would say is if you aren't planning but to sleep and eat the free breakfast and wine/cheese hour, it may not be worth the cost. I probably spent 6 hours a night sleeping, then a half hour in the morning eating before departing to see the sights of NYC. It's a really expensive crash pad!!

Bewertet von John aus NY am Feb 7, 2007
The hotel has a beautiful large lounge. This space offered lots of 24/7 perks, such as wine, cheese, coffee, etc. and comfortable space to unwind. This is in contrast to the room which was very, very small, even by NYC standards. Street noise was not a problem even with it's close distance to everything Times Square. The breakfast was simple with fresh fruit, cereal, and hardboiled eggs. The snacks were lacking as my companion commented about the oreos and chips ahoy being served. Neat, clean, and well maintained. Service staff was absolutely outstanding.
