This hotel maintains the old style ambience of an early 1900's hotel. The woodwork is well maintained. The rooms are large and clean. My room had a great view of the Stratoshphere and Fremont street from the 11th floor. Bathroom was in good order and clean and the water had great pressure and was always hot. One small inconvenience is that there is no wireless internet available in the rooms. (You can pay for Traveler's WiFi) BUT, you can go to the lobby to the Player's Club area and wireless is free. The Triple 7 bar has great food. Especially the ham and eggs breakfast for $6.95. The casino bar has $2 Coronas and Hienikens 24 hours a day. Great place to stay over all.

We spent 6 nights at Main Street Station mid-August and it is as nice as it was when we stayed a couple of years ago. The quality has stayed the same or actually improved. The bed was the most comfortable one I have ever had in a hotel. The room and the whole casino was very clean and orderly and the smoke problem has either been remedied or there just weren't as many people this time. It was not bad at all. I love this little hotel. The main drawback is that it is downtown.

This place is great! Clean, large, recent remodeled rooms. Great breckfast buffet for $7 including drink. The tripple 7 brew pub has great food and cheap prices. Try a flight of beer, 5 sample sizes of their micro brews.Casino is fun, draws an older crowd. The main concetor bus station is just a block away, get a 3 day pass for $15 and ride anywhere.

We showed up not getting our requested room. In the land of Vegas you hear they take care of you and upgrades or comps galore. Nope take what we have or don't take at all. Sorry we over booked. Even when we called at 3 pm to confirm we would be checking in late. And told we would have our room. Old style design, but didn't mean had to be not kept up.Trim falling off of walls by the bathroom. Sink doesn't drain in bathroom. Internet Wi-Fi only in lobby, but down all day. Had to make Air plane arrangements couldnt though we pay for it by staying there and they offer no solutions. Staying here would have seemed close to downtown area, there are better locations we feel. Nicer places with pools which this did not have. Look elsewhere is our suggestion.

Main Street Station Hotel is a quaint, charming hotel with lots of ambience. The waitstaff seem genuinely glad we were at their hotel/casino. The dealers seem to make it a point to be friendly and gracious and had much inter-action with us. We went to a 'strip' casino and were not even greeted by dealers who often looked at their watches and dealt with bored expressions. The room size was not exceptional but comfortably fit an amoire, 2 queen beds and a small table with chairs. Seriously, how long do you spend in your room? I will go again and again.

The carved wood begins at the entrance and follows-through to the interior of the elevators. The reception was friendly and there was a very short line. Parking was easy and convenient. We used the valet parking off the casino entrance. The breakfast buffet was both overwhelming and healthy depending upon ones choices. The smaller size of this hotel allows for quick and easy access to the rooms, casino, brewery, and exterior locations. We are repeat visitors.

I stay in Downtown Las Vegas most of the time that I go to Las Vegas, but this is the first time I've stayed at the Main Street Station. Everyone knows that the hotels in downtown are older, but the Main Street has either been very well maintained or has been updated in the not too distant past. The room was clean, the TV was an appropriate size for the room, and the AC worked better than in others I've stayed at (Which is good because the temperature never got below 80 overnight.).

We choose Main Street Station when staying downtown for the charm. This is a small hotel/casino with an excellent brewery, oyster and sushi bar. If you like to play slots or video games, you can still win money here. The rooms are comfortable, the food is good and the walk to Freemont Street is short.

Bewertet von Ron aus Loveland am Jun 10, 2009
The hotel is about 3 blocks from the laser light show in old downtown. It is also close to Interstate 15 and the railroad tracks. We had two rooms on opposite sides of the hotel on the 14th floor and the road and rail traffic noise was fairly loud. Rooms were clean. We had dinner and breakfast at the buffet and the food was good and reasonably priced. Room rates were $55 and $68 (Friday and Saturday nights). It has a parking garage. I wouldn't stay here if you are a light sleeper.

Bewertet von Lenny aus Barstow am Jun 1, 2009
I started shopping for lodging on a Thursday for a Saturday stay, and found this excellent facility. The common areas, rooms, and dining establishments were all first-class. Then again, I wanted an upper-lever room, and from our south-facing room on the 11th floor, you had a great view of Vegas. Plus, it was an easy 5-min. walk to the "Fremont St. Experience". Don't know why ANYONE would pay more for the crowds and awful traffic of "The Strip", when Main Street Station has so much to offer. Next time I come to L.V., I WILL stay here again!

Main Street Station is a quaint and charming hotel, especially for the price. The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable. It's not the plushest hotel we've stayed at in the area, but it rivals even the 4-star for coziness. The dining options are more limited than at surrounding hotels, but both the buffet and the Triple 7 Seved great meals (though the service was terrible at the latter). The only downsides we encountered were traffic noise (even from the 15th floor), and no complimetary in-room WiFi (though there was free broadband Wifi in the internet cafe next to the lobby). Overall, it was a great place to stay and we're likely to stay there again.

We chose Main Street Station based on price, and it was everything we expected. Not fancy by any means, but a good value for what we paid. The rooms are average, but fairly comfortable. A big plus for this hotel is the restaurants. The brewpub is excellent and very reasonably priced, and the buffet is as good as a buffet can be, both for breakfast and dinner. Don't miss the omelette chef - he is hilarious and has been there for years.
