Romantische Zimmer, z. t. mit sehr antiken Möbeln eingerichtet, schöne Eingangshalle, freundlichen Angestellte.Schöne Hotelanlage zum Spazieren. (Golfen). Essen im Restaurant leider nicht so toll.

Loved it! Great place to walk, run, bike, or just sit and stare. Gym is 3.1 miles away and is an excellent 2 story gym, take a taxi, or walk/run, we walked. Sidewalks or bike trails, slight downhill, the whole way there. Complimentary coffee, complimentary fresh fruit, complementary beer, water and juices in mini-bar. Food and drinks available until 2AM, albeit expensive. Almost every place in town stops serving food at 10PM. Victoria Park is beautiful. Walk through the park to the train station, or 5 Euro taxi. Take train from airport for 4 Euro, allow 1.5 - 2 hours, or 20 min taxi for 40 Euro. Showed up early morning with a 3PM check-in. Hotel provided a temporary room for us to change and shower while we waited for our room. Not sure that can be expected, but they did it for us. Employees are over the top for service; too many examples to recount. Doorman has been there for 14 years. We had a Deluxe room. We could have spent the entire time in the room. Spacious, gorgeous, comfortable etc. We were there mid-July 2009. Did not know we didn’t have air-conditioning. Never checked. The old town of Kronberg is an easy walk from the Schloss, quaint, gorgeous etc. We took one day to visit the Rheingau , Rudesheim. 30 Euro for 5 passenger all day train ticket. Plan 2 hours each way.

This was an amazing stay, albiet short in my case. The property is incredible. You are staying in an actual castle that was built in the late 1800s by the daughter of Queen Victoria and mother of German Kaiser Wilhelm II. Every public room and hall is steeped in history and faithfully preserved. The rooms are clean and comfortable but within European standards. The service was terrific and the restaurant first class at first class prices. Wear your jacket to dinner. If you are looking for McNuggets on the cheap this is not your dining room.

This medieval castle is spectacular, the decor stunning. Did not eat at the restuarant which had food slightly too exotic for our tastes but we were able to get something lower key in the bar, fortunately before the smokers came in. That was the only negative.

WOW! What an experience and special treat. From the shoe shine to the tour of the castle/hotel. The flowers were blooming and the beauty of the castle and grounds were fantastic! Cannot wait to return for another visit!
