Cascadia Hotel & Suites - Vancouver

Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet mit Microwelle, Kühlschrank und Geschirr, Betten prima, Ausblick auf die Stadt auch, sehr zentrale Lage (zu Fuß zur Robson Street, zum Stanley Park oder zum Aquarium kein Problem). Frühstücksraum laut und etwas beengt. Bei schönem Wetter kann man aber gut draußen frühstücken. Poolbereich ohne Aufsicht und bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht sauber. Kann aber auch Momentaufnahme sein. Insgesamt würden wie dieses Hotel empfehlen/selbst wieder nutzen.

In the center of the city all you need is in walkiing distance. The rooms are spatious and perfectly equipped. We would pick this hotel any time again.

Very nice place to stay.

It was our first time in Vancouver BC and we couldnd't have had a better room. It was clean and had a great view. It came with a very nice breakfast every morning and the staff was friendly. Five stars as far as I am concerned. Gladys.

We stayed 4 nights and found it very convenient and comfortable. The free breakfast is excellent and the hotel has a nice indoor pool and fitness center. The only quibble was the slow elevators and lack of public stairs as an alternative.

I have no complaints about the hotel itself. Everything was convenient and I did like the extra security with the cards (having to swipe them everywhere). It might seem like a pain, but it keeps people out who aren't supposed to be there. The beds were comfortable and the room supplied everything. Complimentary breakfast was fantastic and the service was great. The one problem I have is the location. Even though it's right in the middle of everything, which is good... the neighborhood wasn't pleasant. Too many night clubs nearby and I saw people on two different occasions doing illegal drugs out in the open. That's not something I would want to see, especially if I had kids. Other than that, I was pleased with the stay.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The equipped kitchen was a surprise though we did not have the occasion to use it. The mattress and pillows were too soft to our liking.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is very good for downtown Vancouver. There are one or two unsavoury characters in the street but we never felt threatened. The pool was great for the kids although its not a reason to go to this hotel per se. Breakfast was fine but not great - would have liked some bacon. But at least its included in the price. Overall I would recommend it. The room was perhaps a little dated, but its good value. Also we ate at the diner attached one night and were pleasantly surprised - again good value I thought.

I was very pleased with the great breakfast and helpful staff. This hotel is within walking distance to most attractions. The exact area at night is a spot that many partiers hang out and some homeless or drunks that were in the area at night made me feel uncomfortable walking at night. Just take a taxi at night. During the day, no problem. I would definately stay again and recommend this hotel to family and friends. I would recommend to the hotel to leave the breakfast until it is gone. They were cleaning before and not allowing people to get more even before closing time and if they are going to just throw it out, why not let people eat?

We spent 3 nights at Cascadia prior to a cruise. Our room was spacious and had a well equipped kitchen-- even a terrace. The location was convenient to all downtown areas and transportation was easily accessible. The front desk personnel were friendly, helpful and informative. The full breakfast buffet was excellent. Our only complaint was slow and inattentive service in the bar/restaurant. We highly recommend this hotel.

The free buffet breakfast was terrific. Each day a full buffet with eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles or pancakes, pastries, juices/coffee, etc. Quite a savings when you think of the cost of eating a full breakfast out at a restaurant. Dining room large and relaxing. Service was wonderful. Suite room was very big with small kitchen. High Speed Internet worked fine. No wireless, but hard wired was great.

It was ok. The first room smelt like an old hockey locker room...went to the very helpful front desk folks and they fixed it pronto with a new room! the best part of the hotel was the employees!!! they were great! the new room still had an asian food smell to it, but it was clean and had a very comfortable bed. It is about a 7-10 min walk from the robson area and the same from sunset beach. very close to the aquabus to granville island and a great place for poutine, fritz's. And it is the first stop in vancouver on the airporter bus from YVR.

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was exceptionally helpful, the room was very clean and larger than expected. There was a refrigerator and microwave with grocery stores with organic produce nearby. The stay also included a free breakfast that had the full range of breakfast foods. This hotel is a little older and a block or two from the main downtown area. For anyone interested, the hotel is very close to the "gay friendly" neighborhood.

Our stay was wonderful. The people were helpful from the minute we walked in. Breakfast is a buffet with plenty to offer. Our location was perfect for our needs in getting to the beaches, the buses, or any excursion. We had a kitchen in our room and we were able to cook for ourselves one night and enjoy a quiet in our room after visiting the jacuzzi and pool!. I travel alot and this was a great deal!

We were walking distance to the wharf and ferry to granville island, close to the airport and pier for our cruise. Our room was well appointed with mini kitchen, sofa, and two queed beds. We would have liked to stay longer, but had a cruise ship to board. The only drawback would be the vacant lot across the street. (not a pretty sight) However, that did not bother us. We loved it!!

We loved the hotel Cascadia. It was in a good central location within walking distance to most downtown locations. The restaurant in the bottom of the hotel has an excellent chef and we loved the food.

This hotel is an excellent value: it is centrally located, the rooms are comfortable, breakfast is quite reasonable, and the staff is very courteous and helpful. One caveat: we could hear some street noise at night but this is linked to our location. Overall, we were very pleased.

The hotel services are great. I am very pleased. The breakfast is great, and the Internet is fast. It is perfectly located. The security system and the kitchen are pleasant surprises as well. Two of the hotel front desk staff that I would like to thank include Amanda and Sareena. They have been very patient for my travel related questions.

this hotel bed was very comfortable. The breakfast also had a lot of selection of foods. The thing that I did not like was that there was a lot of construction surrounding the apartment that was very loud.

Really loved the Cascadia Hotel & Suites. Room had 2 queen beds and a cooker, dishwasher and sofa! The hotel was just lovely. Pool is small enough but seems average with hotel standards. It is in a good downtown location only a few blocks away from Robson street.

Good facilities in the room and in the hotel in general. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Room was clean, comfortable and roomy. Starting to look a little old in places. Good location. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it as good value for money.

We enjoyed Cascadia thoroughly. It was centrally located to many attractions. Many others were within walking distance. I read about recent comments regarding noise nearby to the hotel but am happy to report that I experienced no such disturbances. My room had a balcony *big plus!*. The pool and hottub were both nice. The breakfast in the mornings was more than I had ever imagined! Free WiFi! Very Helpful staff!!!

Excellent hotel, like a mini home all in one room, far more gadgets than you would ever need but welcome all the same. Really helpful concierge and fellow staff, great buffet breakfast, ideal location just off the main strip, would choose this hotel again no problem.

We were pleased with our stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The beds were comfy. There was only one lamp between the two beds. We like having lamps to read by at night. The bathroom was okay for one person at a time. We had four in our room which makes for a long wait for everyone getting ready. Nice breakfast. The pool area was very nice with separate locker rooms. We would stay again.

We only encountered helpful and welcoming staff here. The room and complimentary breakfast were both of a high standard and the swimming pool and hot tub also very good. Location and facilities suited our needs perfectly as tourists with a young family.

What a difference a country makes!this hotel was brilliant, although room overlooked a building site! The service was second to none and nothing was a problem. The staff went out of their way to help with everything. I arrived at 7.30 am (too early for a room to be ready obviously) but the hotel kept myluggage safe and I checked in there and then. The room was spacious, large and bed very comfy. Honestly can't commend the staff on reception enough, made for an enjoyable and hassle free stay. The pool and gym were also a bonus though the gym was fairly limited.

Cascadia really exceeded my expectations in everyway. Yes, there is construction taking place behind the hotel, but we only noticed it when we left the hotel to go out for the day. It never bothered us in our rooms. The breakfast is excellent, the staff exemplary and the room comfortable and well stocked. One of the best mattresses I've ever slept on. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and answer any questions we had. The kitchenette in our room was wonderful - helped save quite a few dollars and was very convenient. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely room w/ full kitchen including dishwasher, utensils, etc. Very secure, convenient esp. to Kitsilano neighborhood. Only drawback was expensive parking (which was very secure)plus tax. But parking a fortune at every hotel. Very impressed with room, sofa, 2 beds, nice big desk and a sumptuous breakfast included. It's in the gay-friendly neighborhood which didn't bother me a bit and I felt totally safe (as a 61 y.o. single old lady traveller).

The Cascadia is a topnotch hotel in a great location. The room was much larger than any hotel I've stayed in other than dedicated suite hotels. The mattress on the bed is one of the best I've slept on. I give it two thumbs up for amenities and convenience.

This hotel certainly exceeded our expectations. We were able to check in very early( as soon as we departed our Alaskan cruise ship) and received a suite room with a full kitchen and a huge balcony overlooking the city. Our room, lobby area, dining room & lounge, and gym/pool area were all nicely decorated and in great condition. The staff could not have been more accomodating. They provided maps of the city and were a great help with our touring plans. Our flight was very late at night the day we checked out. They stored out luggage and also offered us a pass to their gym/pool area to freshen up before going to the airport. Breakfast buffet is included in the room price. The stop for the hop on hop off trolley and bus is located reight in fron of the hotel. Highly recommended

The Cascadia Hotel was exactly what I was hoping it would be like. Nicely located to the shops and tourist attractions, it was a good walking distance from everything. The room was big enough and comfortable. The only negative comment is that our room smelled a bit humid. We couldn't figure out where that was coming from. Aside from that, the accommodations were excellent. The beds were comfy and the room was spacious. The breakfast that was included was VERY much worth it! Nice spread. Overall, it's worth it's price.

Just an exceptional hotel in Vancouver. We go there two or three times a year from Seattle and always look for new places we haven't discovered before. The staff is attentive, the breakfast beats most 4 star hotels, and overall an entirely pleasant experience.

I attended an academic conference at UBC while my family explored Vancouver. The room was very spacious, provided a fully-furnished suite (dishes, pots, pans, silverware, stove, microwave, and fridge). The amenities, proximity to bus lines, downtown, and False Creek made it an excellent base for our weekend. We had our 2 yr old and easily covered the whole city on foot, stroller, and city bus. Granville island is a three-block walk and quick ferry ride away. Stanley park and downtown are an easy ride on the city bus, and even UBC is only 20 min by bus. The hotel restaurant is very good although pricier than other food nearby. Neighborhood is undergoing renovation, but shows signs of continual improvement.

This was a great place for a family, we had our two teenage girls and the pool was perfect. Only complaint would be that there is construction going on behind the hotel, and there was lots of noise early on weekday mornings. Lobby restaurant had great food for a good price. We loved the vending machines with frozen dinners and popsicles! Would definitely visit here again.

Our room was cute with a nice bath and kitchen. The service was friendly. Close enough to everything in downtown Vancouver. Great value!

The beds and pillows in my 2 queen bed room were fantastic! there was also a couch which was comfortable, with a kitchen, plates, silverware, wine opener..everything! they had candies laid out, free internet, the desk overlooking the city..there was a lot of construction in the area, and looked kind of ghetto in the day, but other than that it was good. the breakfast had eggs, bagels, pancakes, waffles, sausages, coffee, the best continental breakfast ever..A+

Overall our Cascadia experience was fine. The property is a bit dated. It was my hope to select a slightly more upscale and contemporary hotel in celebration of a special occassion. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again in the future however.

If they had babysitting onsite it would be PERFECT! Like, absolutely flawless!

This hotel was a great value for the price we paid. Having an indoor pool as well as a complementary breakfast was mandatory for us and this hotel had both in a very convenient location. It was easy to get to all the sights of Vancouver and the staff was great - very accommodating. Our only complaint was that the walls are rather thin and you can easily hear your neighbors. But if you bring earplugs it's fine!
