Best Western Hotel Tomo - San Francisco

Das Hotel ist in jeder Hinsicht zu empfehlen. Sehr schöne, neu gestylte Zimmer passend zur Lage in Japan Town. Freundliches Personal. Sauberes Zimmer. Bei früher Buchung ein sehr gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Türe erlaubt guten Anschluss an alle wichtigen Punkte in SFO. Zimmer mit Queen Size Betten geeignet für Familie mit 2 Erw. und 2älteren Kindern.

Sauberes,nüchternes Hotel mit sehr hilfsbereitem Personal

Das Hotel ist nicht weit vom Visitor Center entfernt, man läuft ca 15-20 min.Dort kann man sich auch die 3 Tageskarte fürs MUNIT holen,womit man auch Cable-car fahren kann.Das Hotel ist stylisch fetzig eingerichtet, man bekam gleich Straßenkarten mit,es liegt in der Sutterstreet, wo auch an die Cable-c. anhält,allerdings nicht vorm Hotel :).Aber man läuft eh viel dort.In der Nähe gibts viele japanische Geschäfte,auch das Japanese Center.Im Hotel selbst gibts Internetschluss, im Zimmer.In der Lobby gegen Bares auch einen PC.Uns hat es gut gefallen,allerdings das Parkhaus ( 20 Dollar pro Tag ) ist viel zu klein für das hotel.Man kann 1 Straße weiter im o.g. Center für 15 Dollar am Tag parken.Würde ich dann eher das nächste mal so machen :).Ansonsten Personal undso weiter alles supi.Im 1. Geschoss kann man auch frühstücken.

Die Zimmer im Tomo waren sauber und überraschend anders eingerichtet. Das Design errinnert ein wenig an einen klassischen Atari Look. Als Ausgangspunkt hatten wir keine Probleme die Stadt zu erkunden. Der Bus hält direkt vor der Tür und bringt einen auf direktem Weg zum Union Square. Trotz Zimmer zur Straße war es kein Problem bei offenem Fenster zu schlafen. Ein zusätzlicher Pluspunkt war der kostenfreie Wlan Zugang, der in den meisten Hotels leider immer noch Extrakosten verursacht.

ich kann das Hotel Tomo für Ausflüge in und um San Francisco nur empfehlen. Gleich neben Japantown hat man eine sehr gute infrastruktur an japanischen Restaurants ums Eck. Und mit dem Autobus (22, 3) kann man eigentlich in gut 15 min. überall in die Stadt hingekommen. Das Hotel hat eine Garage, falls man ein Mietauto hat. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und sauber und bieten alles was man braucht (Badewanne, Fön, Fernseher, Uhr, Internet in der Lobby,...). Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist echt top und ich würde jederzeit wieder dort einchecken.

We loved the cool "Japanese Pop Art" interior design of the hotel and it worked well in Japan town where the hotel is located. The parking ramp located in the hotel was pretty tight, but we managed to squeeze into a space. The Japanese Mall that is a block away is well worth visiting - safe, clean and interesting! Great candy store with wonderful packaging, lots of places to eat and fun shopping.

Had a great time at the Hotel Tomo. Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff. there was a bit of confusion with the room when we arrived but was soon sorted out (we had booked twin but was allocated double). fantastic view from hotel room overlooking Japantown.

The personnel at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The room however was noisy, the beds and sitting area were hard and the shower faucet was broken. Sorry, would not stay again.

Initially I was told that the area this hotel is in (Japantown) was a bit 'rough'. We didn't have an problems in that regard. The hotel is in a good location (regular bus services to Union Square, Market Street and Castro, or 8 - 10 dollars in a cab). The rooms are spacious, bright and clean with flat screen TV, interest connection etc. We initially stayed there for 5 nights before travelling to Vegas and L.A. We then returned to SFO for our last 2 nights before flying back to the UK and chose to stay in the TOMO again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants value for money and a reasonable location.

The hotel is convenient located in Japan-town. The bus stops right in front of the hotel and you can easily reach all places in the city with public transportation. Especially for young people or families with young kids is this the right one. We were very happy and had a very nice stay.

Good location, excellent service, condition of the room was cleanly and quiet. Recommended.

We have family in the neighborhood. It worked perfectly for our needs...comfortable and clean!!!

This hotel is located directly across the street from the Japantown shopping center. Great city view. My kids were thrilled with the nightstand full of comic books. The staff saw that I was having a rough day at check-in and sent two complimentary bottles of sake to my room. They also gave my kids awesome gift bags full of Anime toys. I'm taking the kids back here this weekend! The sheets are incredibly soft. Only thing could make it better would be a pool.

My parents and I were visiting San Francisco for a few days. We enjoyed the location -- in the heart of Japantown -- but felt that the price was a bit high considering the quality of the rooms. (In addition, parking is $20 per day.) The rooms and hotel were a little older, despite the many pop culture details to jazz it up. Also, the restaurant is not associated with the hotel so our request to borrow a few plates and utensils was not met in a friendly manner. Other hotels I've stayed at in the city (Hotel Triton, Hilton San Francisco), were very accommodating with such "special" requests.

Theme hotel (Japanese animation), good for family, bright colors. Sparse / coarse linen. Clean and efficient.

The staff is very helpful. The Hotel is in a very nice location by Japan town and close to Yoshi's and the Filmore for good Music within walking distance. There is lots of good food with in walking distance as well.

Ok, so there was some confusion as to if breakfast was included in our booking, but, to be honest with a)the hotel restaunts being terrible, and b)a Mall across the road doing a large non-fat Mocha and a bagel with cream cheese for $4, who cares! However, the hotel was great - clearly a McHotel that had been jazzed up, but they did a great job - the staff were also really helpfull, and knowledgable. slightly out of the way, but that was a bonus, to be honest, as it ment it was easy to sleep (sometimes hard in an american hotel). it's also on two major bus lines, so you could get to any of the main districts in about 5 min only downer being the "fitness room" - just some cardio equipment, and some light weights in a room

We arrived very early and they were very accommodating. They found our reservation, gave us a key and we were off. We had to pay for parking overnight, which we already expected and were okay with. We thought it would be more but it was only 20 bucks a night. The inconvenient part of parking was when we returned late night at 2 am, the garage was full. Luckily there were plenty of street parking outside, so we left our car out for a night. The neighborhood didn't feel sketchy at all. We originally had booked a night only and were going to relocate to our friend's place the second night of our stay in SF, but we loved the place so much (and we were so tired) we decided to extend our stay for one more night. Easy peasy. Everything was done smoothly and so far, we have not had any problems with charges. Internet was free. That's great. The elevators were responsive. That's awesome. The view wasn't so great where we were at, but we were so busy that weekend that we didn't even bother looking out the window. We were four people in a room with two beds and we didn't feel cramped. I highly recommend the hotel. First time at a themed hotel. It was cute!

This was one of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in. The staff was beyond friendly and willing to help with anything. I felt very safe in the area versus the surroundings of other hotels I was deciding between. I wouldn't even hesitate about picking this hotel if I was in the area again - I'd stay at Hotel Tomo again in a heartbeat.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Tomo! The staff was very nice and the hotel was fun and funky. I liked the room decor. The mural was really nice. The bed was comfortable, and I love that they provided a robe to use :) The bean bag was a fun touch too. The free in-room internet was very useful as well. The location was perfect for my purpose. Overall, nice stay. Thank you! I would stay here again :)

The Hotel Tomo has a perfect location, slightly hard beds, an overpriced restaurant, and friendly service.

Fun decore and great staff...very clean.

Outstanding experience with this hotel. Other than the ice machine not working on our floor....it was letter perfect. The room was a great size...very well decorated and clean. The staff was very nice...and very helpful. The location was right in the middle of Japantown and we felt as if we'd traveled to Japan. We will be staying there again on our next trip!

The hotel was in a great spot in Little Tokyo. Just a walk to the Japanese mall. Hotel lobby and rooms were decked out in japanese anime art. Rooms were comfortable. The only problem I had was the staff. They were extremely rude to us. We drove into the parking structure and was greeted by a staff member who rudely told us that parking was for hotel guests ONLY. That night, we came in late from the bars and they stopped us and said we had to show our key cards. We did, but still gave us a hard time because we "had too many people in the room" but another group had walked in the same time we did and they thought we were all together. After arguing with the front desk, they finally let us pass.

I was expecting it to be nice or at least have good beds like the other hotels I have been to in the same area. The beds felt like they were made of cardbord. and when we first checked in they tried to give me a room that i didn't book. It just wasn't a good expiriance.

Great room-large. Great food in easy walking. Also, bus to downtown and Ferry is across street. In a quite area. Would stay here again.

This hotel is one of a kind. Modern and fun Japanese style. Japantown in San Francisco is a rather small area but the hotel is right in the center of Japantown. It is easy to get to other parts of the City (Market St. & Chinatown) by bus or cable car. I would definitely stay at the Tomo again and highly recommend it for an interesting experience.

This hotel is groovy baby! The entire stay was wonderful except the comfort of the king bed. It was a mattress on a wood frame. Great location for a Fillmore show.

Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable hotel in a nice area. Very convient to buses and taxis. Hotel perrsonnel were helpful and accomadating.

I was impressed with the clean room and the decor. I will definately stay here again when Im in SF.

Hotel was clean and the people were friendly. good location to UCSF if you have car. close to shopping and resturants. Walgreens is even in walking distance. I would stay there again.

Hotel service was regrettable. We booked a double with 2 beds, called a few days before to advise of our late check-in and to confirm that we'd have a room with 2 beds waiting. Asked if we should call again on our day of arrival and were told no. Arrived at the hotel at 8 pm and were given a King room with no comment upon check in-had to call the front desk and were offered a roll away and a room change the next day. This was so frustrating. It would have been easier if we'd been told up front and not had to make the call. The front desk acknowledged that there was a note about late arrival and confirming 2 beds and all they could do was switch us the next day and give us free b'fast. Warning: American b'fast in Mum's is awful. Stick to the hopping Shabu-Shabu at night. Do not, I repeat do not agree to a room on the 1st floor. The smell of cabbage broth from the Shabu Shabu and the noise from the lively patrons will drive you mad.

The decoration of this hotel was very cute. We were very surprised by how cute the decor was. The room was comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was the parking. There was hardly any parking for the hotel guests.

Neat tidy rooms. A little small, but modern. Erratic wireless internet access. Fair way from Union square, but regular bus services leasve outside hotel.

This hotel is a very comfortable hotel located right in the heart of Japanese town in San Francisco. Within walking distance, there are many restaurants to choose from. The staff was very flexible about parking, and I had a small problem with my television, and within one minute, a staff member was knocking on my door to fix the problem. The rooms are awesome! The decor is very modern Japanese. The chairs, decorations, and lobby all fit in with this theme. The only complaint that I have is that the hotel does not have room service. There is a restaurant on-site, but it is an awkward blend of Japanese and American food. It is strange to eat pseudo-Japanese food, when there are many true Japanese restaurants as close as across the street. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. The staff was flexible, and the room was great. Plan your meals accordingly. You might like the restaurant, but to me it was a little strange.
