Laut Hotel hatten Sie ein Software Problem - auf jeden Fall dauerte das einchecken sehr lange. Das Hotel ist super für ein junges Publikum. (bis 35 ) lockere Atmosphäre, das Personal sehr freundlich aber auch "locker drauf" (nicht 4 Sterne Service) Durch die Softwareumstellung hatten wir am esten Tag nicht das gebuchte Zimmer. Die Aussicht in den Hotelräumen ist nicht so optimal.

Super Lage, freundliches Personal, Bar, Restaurant etc tolles Ambiente, gepflegte, saubere toll ausgestattete Zimmer

The only gripe was that I signed up for a King size bed and got two twin beds.

My room was beautiful and very comfortable. There was a buddha in the room that kept changing colors, which was fun. I felt the staff at the restaurant as well as the bar were all very friendly. The consierge was helpful but there were a few times I could find him. Other than that, I really have no complaints. Excellent.

I found the staff warm and gracious...couldn't do enough to ensure we had everything we needed. The room was immaculate, modern with a wonderful view of The Bay Bridge. I enjoyed the energy in the bar, full of all kinds of people, but the room was quiet as a mouse. I strongly recommend the W San Francisco.

We arrived early and was provided with an early check-in with a complimentary upgrade to a higher floor (15th). However, it was later discovered that they had booked us under the wrong reservation, at a lower rate, so I'm not sure if they would be that accomodating otherwise. Not being able to find our original reservation from Hotels.com, they left me a vm that they were going to charge me their going standard rate of $100 more/night than I had originally booked us for. I had to go downstairs and show them a copy of the reservation that I happened to have with me. It was honored without much difficulty, and they even sent us a couple of vouchers for free cocktails at the bar. So that was nice of them. The room was a bit on the smaller side. I'm used to staying in the NY hotels, and was surprised to see that it was comparable in size. The room was nicely decorated--bright and modern. The only issue was that, even on the 15th floor, you could here the music thumping loudly from the lobby bar. We didn't mind it so much for we enjoy electronic music, but for the average person who wants to enjoy a quiet night in their room--it would have been difficult to avoid the noise. Bliss spa was disappointing. The steamroom and saunas weren't even on that day, so we had to wait for the "steam" to be generated. Not typical for a well known hotel spa, I would think. The location was great, although, there weren't too many places to eat right around the corner. You had to walk past Market street, which isn't too far of a walk. Overall, the San Fran W wasn't all too bad. Honestly, i would have expected a little more from a hotel chain of this calibur, but wasn't too disappointed. It served it's purpose, and was conveniently located to the rest of the city. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

Service was way to laid back concierge didnt answer the phone and reccomended a below average restaurant. Dont ever forget your razor, I used one of theirs and it was as dull as a butter knife, went to my meeting all cut up.

My only complaint is that the room was sort of small. Bathroom was nice, everything was nice for that matter, the XYZ Bar is schwank, the location is perfect, you can pretty much walk anywhere in downtown SF. They also had a free Acura shuttle w/in 3 miles of hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Alright, so the W is a great hotel. That goes without saying. There's no arguing that the lounge is hip and the ambiance and design are great. My only ding against the SF W is that unlike other W's which have rooms that are modern and clean from a design standpoint, the W SF has so many tchochkies and design junk in the room that it dampened my Chi. That said, if you don't mind crap cluttering up the shelves in your room, this is a great hotel.

If you're single and traveling, then the W is the place to be. The rooms are nice and clean and there is a cool trendy vibe to everything. The XYZ bar downstairs is one of the hippest bars in town. I'ts very easy to meet and talk to other people down there, so makes it perfect for the single traveller.

great rooms, bedding, elevators. Parking expensive, $50/day, so if you can, don't bring a car into the city.

Great hotel, but extras (wifi) breakfast etc expensive. There was no free coffee in the lobby in the mornings, but there are several cafés within a couple of minutes walk from here. IF you have kids the Yerba Buena Park is 2 mins away and the 30 bus goes right past the hotel to many of the attractions for kids. The hotel pool and hot tub is superb. The Metreon center is nearby with a great cinema (IMAX) with a good selection of restaurants. The concierge is always very helpful too. A good location and a great hotel.

I love love loved the concierge. The rooms looked a little like they were decorated by a 13 year old from Florida who shops at Urban Outfitters, but they were still way better than the average chain hotel. All in all I love this hotel, and I would move in there if I was able heiress-style.

Bed and pillows were uncomforable. Other than that a very trendy hotel with good nightlife.

Our stay was $500.00 for 4 days and our parking bill was $200.00. they did not mention it when we checked in, hotels.com did not put in there charges and when we checked out we had to pay this $200.00 bill for parking. NO ONE INFORMED US OF THIS AND I TRIED TO SPEAK TO THE HOTEL ABOUT IT AND THEY GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND. THE MANAGER HAS YET TO CALL ME BACK!!! ROOMS ARE VERY SMALL ALSO. I WOULD SPEND THE MONEY NEXT TIME ON A LARGER ROOM. NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

My wife and I checked in around 11am for a recent convention and the hotel had a room ready. Unfortunately, we had to take 2 doubles versus a King, but it was only for one night. Room was small, but very well appointed. Valet parking only at $45 a night was pricy. Directly across the street from the Moscone Center so it was great for my purpose. I walked a couple of blocks to Starbucks and a drug store at night, but would not have wanted my wife to make the walk. Overall, great experiennce and served my purpose as a convention hotel well.

After 2 terrible nights at 2 different 4 star hotels in the same area, the W was our final stay and sigh of relief. It was an extremely pleasant experience all-around. A bit trendy for our taste, but very nice indeed. Service was beyond fantastic at the hotel itself, as well as the hotel bar & hotel restaurant. The W will definitely be my hotel choice for future visits.

Our room had a great view and was very comfortable. I am so glad I booked through Hotels.com. It was a great deal and we really enjoyed our stay. The W is sleek and trendy with Feng Shui ambiance. The restaurant had great food and the pool and gym are fantastic. Be prepared for dark hallways and a club atmosphere in the lobby. Our room had lots of light when we opened the shutters, so you can choose your own feeling in the room. I would stay again, if Hotels.com offers the same great rate.

Very centrally located. Handy free car service in the afternoons that will drop you off in a large area of the city. The style of decor is slightly bland, and some of the amenities are less than perfect (so-so air conditioning, poor showerhead) so I wouldn't be happy to pay full price. My only gripe is that, when we checked in, they had us down for a room with twin beds despite my ringing beforehand to confirm a large bed. The receptionist said in order to be sure about such details we should only book through them -- some cheek! Especially given the premium W charge for direct bookings and their choosing to list on third party websites.

I booked on hotels.com and got a good rate. Rooms have Bliss spa products and you can check out CDs from downstairs to play in your room. Free morning coffee is good with fancy syrups to make it personal.

They honred my request for a room in a high floor, the gentleman at the chickin counter was great, the XYZ bar was great and so was the lady serving us.

My wife and I had a an excellent service during our stay at W San Francisco. The "Whatever Whenever" did really apply. We will definitively come back.

I lived in the SF Bay Area for about 18 years and was returning for a very quick, one-night stay. When I've made previous trips I've stayed at some of the well-known hotels in the Union Square area. The W hotel is by far the best hotel I've stayed in. The location is excellent, especially if you're interested in the Museum of Modern Art (and you should be!). It's just a short walk to Market Street or the Moscone Center. It's a little farther to shopping and Union Square, but it's totally walkable. The hotel itself is gorgeous. It's very modern--the lobbies, rooms, elevators, etc. If you like that sort of thing (and I really do), you will be very satisfied. Drawbacks? The costs, of course. I got a good deal, but it's possible that the cost alone will discourage some. I didn't stay long enough to make use of any of the amenities, but I gather they are excellent...but pricey. So, the bottom line: If you can afford it, and you love modern style, choose the W. You will not be disappointed.

The room was very nice, the staff was very friendly, and the view was awesome! The bed was extremely comfortable. The only problem was the TV ratio was set incorrectly and the picture was squished for a movie we paid for.

I loved the budda in the room and how they had a seperate recycle garbadge. Nice little feel good things and awesome art throughout the room. Loved the bathroom, restuarant, lobby, location. Everything was great.

expensive, but not bad for san francisco. rooms are hip, ours had a great view of twin peaks. the only complaint we had was that housekeeping left us only one towel and no washcloths on the second day. when they say give the valet 20 minutes to get your car, they mean it. the valet/parking situation is chaos... but, that is just how it is in san francisco.
