Hotel Le Royal Lyon - MGallery Collection - Lyon

We were very pleased with our stay at the hotel. We made a reservation via hotels. com for an early check-in and were most happy to be able to check in at around 9:30 am after our long-haul flight. After freshening up, we were able to catch the sightseeing bus tour at 10:45 am and the bus stop was only literally 100 m from our hotel. The concierge made a good recommendation for lunch at Le Sud. We also tried the restaurant at the hotel, which was also nice. We liked the deco of the hotel. The room was a bit on the small side though the bathroom was spacious. Valet parking was available at around EUR7 for overnight. One minor issue is that the hotel was out of electricity for some time during one afternoon but I guessed that's more the problem of Lyon, rather than the hotel itself.

I had a very comfortable stay in the hotel royal. The staff were pleasent & helpful. my & had everything I could need from a mini bar, mini safe to air conditioning. It's perfectly situated for a first time visitor to Lyon & it's directly opposite the city main tourist info cnt. Also with-in 15 mins walk of all the main shopping streets & galleries.

There were a couple of somewhat negative reviews about this hotel, so I was a little worried. I need not have been, everything was great, the staff was very accommodating -- letting us leave our stuff with them after we had checked out. The hotel was very nice and in an excellent location (right in the middle of town), and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel room was a little small, but that is to be expected given that the hotel is in a very old building. The rooms were modern though, probably updated recently, and everything was very nice. We had no problems at all, and this is a great hotel to stay in Lyon.

The staff, food, decor and location make this a very special hotel.

Location: Great view of the castle, right on one of the cities historic squares, restaurants within walking distance. Room: Nicely updated with unique decor. A little small, but worth it for the location. Service: The hotel staff was helpful and friendly I would definetly stay here again!

Tout simplement merveilleux

Hotel de belle catégorie idéalement situé sur la place Bellecour. Les chambres sont confortables et très calmes même pour celles donnant sur la place. Un petit bémol dans la salle de bain où l'écran de douche est trop petit et n'empêche pas l'inondation des lieux!

Chambre spacieuse décorée sobrement, personnel gentil et attentif. J'y retourne sans hésiter si je peux bénéficier d'un tarif WE équivalent!

rien à redire sur le personnel, le service, la qualité de la chambre. Merci pour les petites attentions du personnel(ex: petit mot et bonbons pour souhaiter bonne nuit). Un peu cher cependant: ce qui limite les occasions.

un personnel discret mais présent, des attentions et des petits soins très agréables, une volonté de se distinguer des autres établissements par une recherche dans le style, le rattachement à l'institut Paul Bocuse, une attitude très fair play... Le tout a permis un séjour "hot deal" très agréable sans être moins bien considéré que les clients à plein tarif. Seules observations perfectibles: l'accessibilité aux handicapés ou aux poussettes n'est pas au point et le prix des petits déjeuners élevé (22€ par personne), même si la qualité des produits est au rendez-vous, le personnel attentionné et l'ambiance chaleureuse.

Hôtel trés bien situé, accueil parfait, chambre trés calme spacieuse et confortable, petit déjeuner rafiné et délicieux.

Un emplacement merveilleux en plein coeur de la ville. Tout le personnel est gentil et attentif. Un hôtel très attractif et très chaleureux : très confortable. La chambre était très agréable et spacieuse. Un lit immense. Et un petit-déjeuner parmi les plus admirables qu'il soit possible d'avoir.
