Windsor Court Hotel - New Orleans

The first night stay was in a small room with excellent accomodations but the room had mold in the minibar refrigerator and ventilation. Next moring Ir equested just for th eroom to be more thoroughly cleaned and they reloacted me immediately without question into a suite. The front desk did not flinch an eye to accomdate me and was very impressed with the service. The hotel restaurant, The Grill and Polo Room outstanding with great entertainment. Impecable service, expensive but worth every dollar.

Classic New Orleans property. Best service in the city.

After a horrible trip filled with every entity making mistakes (airline, rental cars, car to the ariport, etc.) I fully expected a mistake when I arrived to the hotel at 2:00 am. To my surprise, they got it right, to the tee. I've stayed here for years, and now I know why -- wonderful experience every time.

We have stayed in the Windsor Court a number of times before Katrina but this was the first time after the storm. The time there was wonderful and we hope to return soon. A very special place.

We absolutely love staying here with our 2 small children. It is quiet, the suite is spacious and it is super close to the aquarium and other attractions. It is always elegant with wonderful service. Only wish it had a spa so I could slip away for a minute to myself!

great value, fantastic staff and very calming after a trip down bourbon street ! The only complaint would be that like must USA hotels, it didn't have a coffee machine in the room, which is always good first thing in the morning ! but to say how good it was, it would take more then the space I have here, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world and overall I think this was the best by far.

The Windsor Court Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way!( the staff, room, food, location..everything about this hotel was above satisfaction) Wonderful staff... Their hospitality is a true example of what New Orleans, Louisiana is all about! The Grill Room is fabulous...have to say the best food I have ever had in New Orleans. The Windsor Court is at the top of my list of places to stay in NOLA!!!!

Second trip this year. Another great room overlooking the rooftop pool and river. Hotel is set up for Royalty. Rooms are nicely appointed. Staff is pleasant (doorman needs some sleep - yawning away throughout the day and off talking with the valet), but everyone else was awake and pleasant and attentive. Hotel rooms have everything that you could want - two robes, slippers, toiletries, etc, except no coffee maker in the room. Wonder why they would go to the trouble of having everything in the room except a coffee maker? Room service - club sandwich was just OK at best but their homemade icecream is incredible. Will stay again!

ELEGANT HOTEL- FLOWERS WERE EXCEPTIONALLY BEAUTIFUL. ACCOMODATIONS, STAFF WERE GREAT- DID NOT SEE ONE EMPLOYEE THAT DIDN'T HAVE A SMILE ON THEIR FACE AND FRIENDLY GREETING. NEXT TIME WE WILL TRY THE GRILL ROOM.

The hotel went to great lengths to ensure our comfort and convenience. They assisted us in our New Orleans siteseeing and provided excellent advice. I recommend this hotel as the best in New Orleans.

I could not believe my eyes when we stepped into this hotel. The hotel was in an excellent location, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. About a 10 minute walk to French quarter, but well worth every step. The quite location allows you to step away from the bustling streets and relax. Could not believe the amazing price we were able to book through hotels.com. Thanks for another great deal!

Windsor Court is a return to the old-fashioned opulence of days past. For some it will seem dated but to us, wonderfully New Orleans. The service is impeccable and friendly. We attended the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience. The location was ideal (nestled between Harrah's and Restaurant August). The room was spacious, comfortable, and luxurious. It was clean and neat with comforts such as a table with mirrors and lights outside the bathroom for my wife to put on her make up while I shaved. It even had a bidet, my wife's favorite convenience in the room. Years ago, having the TV rise out of its place at the foot of the bed would elicit, "ahhh!" but really all I saw was a dated tube-style TV. Nothing wrong with that, but it goes to show the Windsor Court's slightly aged feel. It is a five star (or 5 diamond) hotel in a four star suit. A little upgrading and it would be comparable to any modern, hip five-star hotel anywhere in the world. We would stay there again, anytime; and we will

Hotel is located within walking distance of Fine Antiques & jewelry stores on Royal Street, Riverwalk, Casino, and of course Bourbon Street. You can also walk about 10 blocks to the convention center. Hotel is fine European hospitality at its best. I've stayed in their suites in the past, but this time opted for a "regular" room. It was fantastic. Marble bathroom, spacious living area with balcony overlooking pool and Gulf. Maid service is wonderful. Nightly turndown service as well. Rooms include robes, slippers,etc. Nightly turndown service includes printed letter with next day weather and activities. Missing from the room are coffee & a coffee maker. Door staff could be better informed. Not too familiar with the area. As an example, when asked where I could get a coffee to go, I was told that room service or the restaurant were the only options. Wasn't looking for a $28 pot of coffee. A couple of days later I discovered that there is a Starbucks just inside the door of the Casino across the street. Also, although not advertised, in the morning there is free coffee for guests hidden on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Great roof top pool on 4th floor and great exercise room overlooking the pool. Would highly recommend this hotel. Excellent hotel and excellent value.

Great Location...hidden gem! Helpfull and friendly staff. Good restaurant, nice bar. Big comfortable rooms. Recomend for business travelers and couples.

I chose the Windsor Count based on others' reviews and was not disappointed. The staff is superb; even emailing me the recipe for a dish I'd enjoyed and asked about. The rooms are very nice; some offering a beautiful river view. And, the hotel is perfectly situated for both attending a conference at the convention center and exploring the French Quarter. I'll stay here the next time I'm in New Orleans.

We have stayed in the Windsor Court several times before. This is the first time we have booked thru hotel.com. The Windsor offers very good special rates that we have taken advantage of in the past, and did again this year when we added to our group. The Hotel managment was able to place us in adjacent rooms even thought we had booked them separately, and upgraded us on the "hotel.com" room with no additional charge. I have seen reports that the hotel rooms are outdated and "shabby" but our experiences have not shown this to be true. All the rooms we have had.. from deluxe double, to Jr. Suite to full Suite have been lovely, this years rooms had been recently redecorated and each had it's own character.. not like your average hotel where all rooms look the same. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff helpful and friendly.. couldn't ask for more.

I think 4.5 stars is too high for this hotel - although I was told it "used to be" one of the top hotels in the city, it is dire need of an update...cheesy decor and uncomfortable beds... The service was very good.

wonderful hotel, as usual it lived up to our high expectations. it ranks up there with the best hotels around the world, the oriental in Bangkok and the peninsula in hong kong.

If you want a first class hotel with location, service, and attention this is where to stay. Old world decor that could use a little polish, but the place to stay if you are the 5 star traveler.

We upgraded for asuite and it was well worth it. Very attentive staff, from the doorman to the concierge. Nice bar and amenities. Would definetely dtay there again.

Lovely hotel with the friendliest of staff. All our needs were met and our expectations exceeded. Would highly recommend and will stay again.

The lobby and the Polo Lounge were extremely attractive. The service was great. The room was "tired". There was no flat screen tv. The carpeting was worn. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling in places.

I obtained a discounted rate and had a free upgrade from guest room to junior suite. The furniture was a bit dated (pop-up tv!) but comfortable. Service was generally good. The place has an old-school atmosphere with a giant hunting scene, ties, etc. The tea room and grill have excellent food and service, and the prices reflect this.

The public rooms were lovely and the staff were very nice even as they disoppointed you. Our room was in need of refurbishment though clean and adequate for our needs. Got a queen instead of king bed- the hotel was full. Remote for TV didn't work and had to make a second request to get it fixed. Got a different newspaper than we requested. Sat in the bar one night and waited for service so long we finally had talked ourselves out of a nightcap! They seemed to be a little overwhelmed since the hotel was full & maybe that hasn't been happening lately. I would give them another try but I was a little disappointed.

Windsor Court was wonderful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The personal attention was phenomenal. From the first moment you pull onto the property to the last second of our stay, someone was always ready to help. The Concierge had fantastic recommendations for dinner and the turn down service was more than expected. We truly enjoyed ourselves and the accomadations were fantastic. Now, the location...it was perfect. The hotel is located within walking distance of the French Quarter and is easily accessible. It was close enough we never used our car during our stay, but far enough from the night life that we were able to get a great night sleep every night. We never felt uncomfortable or unsafe at any time. We stayed on the main thorough fares in the French Quarter, but took a streetcar out to the Garden District and walked around. No one ever approached us. The locals were friendly and open to questions. We truly enjoyed our stay in New Orleans at Windsor Court Hotel!

Service at the resturant was not good, 70.00 for breakfast for 3. gimmy a brake.

Great Location, hidden entrance makes you feel like you are staying someplace very special. Beautiful pool area. Rooms are large and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great bar area. Nothing bad to say.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Just far enough from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street, yet close enough to walk to any attractions. Right next door to Harrah's Casino, which was convenient. Great staff/service, beautiful bar/restaurant and great work-out room. Will stay here again!

Went out of the way to make our anniversay special. They upgraded us to a full suite and sent a bottle of champagne.
