Best Western Tuscan Inn Fisherman's Wharf-Kimpton Operated - San Francisco

Das Hotel erfüllte meine Erwartungen, die ich aus anderen Bewertungen gebildet hatte. Sehr angenehm ist der freie WLAN-Zugang im ganzen Haus. Das Restaurant habe ich nicht benutzt.

Das Hotel macht, obwohl es nicht mehr ganz so neu ist, einen gemütlichen Eindruck. Bis zum Pier39 und cable car kann man gut zu Fuß gehen. Leider fallen auch hier Parkgebühren von $20/Nacht an. Das ließ die Servicequalität auf 3 rutschen.

Das Hotel besticht durch seine prima Lage in der Nähe der Pier´s. Zimmer sind ok. Brumende Klimaanlagen und Kühlschränke sind ein manko. Und die dezente ;-( Parkpauschale von 40Doller pro Tag sind echt heftik!!!

Im nachhinein das enttäuschendste Hotel unserer Rundreise durch Nordkalifornien und Oregon. Die Lage ist top, der kostenlose Morgenkaffee gut ebenso wie der kostenlose Wein (+Snacks) von 17-18 Uhr. Keine 3 Sterne Wert das Zimmer bzw. der Service: Auf dem Schreibtisch ein Begrüßungsbrief für einen fremden Herrn, dagegen kein beworbenes Begrüßungsgeschenk für unser Kind (nicht wichtig, aber bezeichnend). Das Sofa war nicht als Bett hergerichtet und auch am 3.Tag war es wieder verschwunden (trotz angemessenen Trinkgeldes). Das Federbett war nicht sauber, der Schrank klein und im Bad wackelte der Wasserhahn und brach am letzten Tag ab. Exorbitant teuer hingegen die Parkgebühren (siehe Vorgängerkommentare), einmal wurde die Bereitstellung unseres Autos zudem "vergessen". Zum überteuerten Frühstück im Restaurant gibt es im Umfeld einige Alternativen.

Das Hotel ist OK, wenn man normale Ansprueche hat.. Der Service war gut und alles ist vom Hotel aus leicht erreichbar.

Sehr gute Lage und gutes Hotel. Die Valet Parking Preise sind mit 38 Dollar plus TAX zu teuer. Public Parking suchen.

vom Hotel aus ist so gut wi alles zu Fuss zu erreichen, super Lage, sehr saubere und große Zimmer, ideal für Familien, von 17:00 bis 18:00 Uhr kostenlosre Weinausschank in der Lobby.

Cable car und Piers mit Shops und Restaurant gleich um die Ecke

das hotel liegt top zentral für die wichtigsten sehenswürdigkeiten. zu fuss ist man in 5 min. am pier 39, oder bei der cable-car station.am abend gab es sogar noch wein degustation in der lobby.

Be ready for traffic noise, Walgreens and Safeway next door, within walking distance to almost everything.

The room was much smaller than the pictured "Deluxe King". It had a couch and coffee table in the room but it was extremely tight space wise, you could barely get around the room. The air conditioning unit kept flipping from manual to a default 80 degrees in the night and we were in San Francisco during a warm period. Those complaints aside the location was great for walking to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 but wasn't so close that it was noisy at all. The concierge Cassie was wonderful and had great recommendations for dinner. The rest of the staff was uniformly helpful as well.

What a lovely clean room. We could see down to the Bay on one side and up in the hills on the other. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was so nicely decorated and in such a great location. It was easy to walk to many of the places we wanted to visit. It had a nice restaurant off the lobby. It also had complimentary beverages in the evening and coffee in the morning. We would definitely stay there again.

I traveled with my three teens , they loved the Hotel, conveniently located I would definately stay there again, hotel employees all very helpful. Loved it. Nice size room for us all.

The hotel was easy walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The service was outstanding. Grocery store within walking distance for snacks. We would definitely return!

walking distance to fisherman's warf (only 2 blocks away)and 2 blocks from the streetcar turn around. great breakfast food across the street. Highly recommend! Don't expectd a big room,but it is clean and updated and plenty of room for 2.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, two blocks from the Wharf and you didn't have the crowds. Everyone was very helpful and friendly from the cleaning people to the front desk to the valet. I highly recommend this hotel and will be a repeat customer. Also, Cafe Pesatore was wonderful as well. Couldn't have asked for better service and the food was very good.

The Tuscan Inn has a great location. The lobby is warm and inviting. The evening wine reception is a nice touch. Our hotel room was pretty small but I guess one has to expect that in San Francisco. Public transportation is all within walking distance (even though confusing at times). A Safeway was right down the street. All in all, a nice hotel.

This hotel was ok, but for the price we paid, it was mediocre with small rooms, loud A/C and expensive parking. The restaurant attached was very good though, but that was the only highlight.

Really enjoyed the stay, especially getting together with other guests in the lobby. If you stay here ask for room away from the street. The outside traffic is pretty loud, otherwise no complaints!

Friend's room NOT ready........for hours.......they waited in our room.......but the room WAS ready, the front desk did not know this...........

The room was too small. Couldn't walk behind the bed if the dresser drawer was open. The bathroom was big, almost as large and the room. Paying for nighly parking was very expensive. Location of the hotel was great.

I did think that the rate was adequate for the location. The room was neat and clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. I would suggest installing a full length mirror somewhere, like the front door. It was difficult to get close enough the wall above the bed and still see to my feet. Although the hotel was very nice I think it should have had a refridgerator in the room for sodas and leftovers, for juice and the like since there was minimal "breakfast". I also thought that the rate for valet was excessive. It was very handy having a Safeway not even a block away.

Room rates were lower than nearby hotels, but hotel charged excessive fee for parking. Room refridgerator was locked and we were not offered a key. Room safe fee was automaticaly added to bill; removed when questioned. Mason St. side of hotel was extremely loud with traffic and a late night parking garage party.

The location was good, the room was pretty bad. While I did not expect a view, I did expect a window in the room that at least looked out onto the street or something, instead it was kind of a basement type room with a tiny window that looked into a tiny cemented in area. Made the small room even feel smaller. I would stay somewhere else next time.

We picked the Best Western due to its dog-friendly accommodations. The staff was very friendly and if you notify them prior to your arrival, they will put up a welcome sign for your dog. Obviously, that's not critical to the success of one's visit, but it's a nice touch. One thing you do need to be aware of is that you are charged $45-50 per night to park your vehicle in the hotel's garage. Location is convenient for most major tourist attractions on Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, Lombard St., etc. We were able to walk just about anywhere, or catch the cable car, from our hotel.

This hotel is the perfect location if you want to stay near Fisherman's Wharf. It's about two blocks away, so you don't have all the tourist traffic, yet it is easy to get to everything. The hotel is great-- service is excellent, from the front desk staff (Wai) to the concierge (Alan). The room was clean and big enough for two. We will definitely stay here again when we visit San Francisco.

atmosphere, cleanliness, price

Great location but noisy if you stay in a room that faces the street!! Staff was very helpful in giving us directions and recommending restaurants. No restaurant in hotel though. Would stay here again.

We really loved the location of the room and the hotel. The only issue we had was the street noise overnight and early morning. We were on the 3rd floor and were awaken by buses and garbage trucks several times during the night. Also - we paid for 3 people in a room but found only 2 coffee cups when we got to the room. We found a maid and asked her to put an extra coffee cup in our room. she said she would but never did. We later found a maintenance man who was able to get on for us.

We arrivied on the amtrack, and were a little disappointed about not being able to check in earlier then 3:pm. I was surprised that the hotel did not provide shuttle service to the amtrak train pickup at pier 39. We had to pay a taxi. Being seniors and not able to walk was very hard.

The Tuscan Inn had beautiful rooms even though they were a little small. The location is great for Fisherman's Wharf and it had great access to cable cars and public transportation. Some good cafes for breakfast were very nearby. We would stay there again.

Highly recommend Best Western Tuscan Inn as a "home base" when exploring the "City."

hotel was very nice and well located.Rooms were somewhat small.

We have stayed at this hotel for approx. 5 years on our annual visit to S.F. It is so convenient to all the venues in the Wharf area. Plus you are greeted warmly by the staff. It is also very easy to ride the cable car to the downtown area and the big plus: Block from Buena Vista!

problem with inaccurate reservation ( days were double booked and not accurate ) call hotel directly if possible, problem was resolved. Afternoon wine + snack was nice touch !

We thought the Fisherman's Wharf location was ideal for our trip to San Francisco. Even though we rented a car, we knew we wouldn't be able to drive and park around the city. This location was in walking distance of Lombard street, Chinatown, Ghiradelli square, the piers, and the ferrys to Alcatraz. We liked the complimentary 'happy hour' drinks each evening.

Walking distance to all attractions, restaurants, wharf. Rediculous parking fee though.

Hotel was a home run!!! Service friendly, everything walking distance and a wonderful resturant connected to the hotel...

I have stayed here several times and have found it to be a perfect location, with good rooms, friendly staff. The neighborhood is great for walking. I bring my two small dogs and have naver had any problems.
