Wer keinen wert auf schöne Zimmer legt, für den ist das Hotel ok. Man darf aber nicht zu viel erwarten. der Service ist Klasse...

Das Hotel war wirklich in Ordnung Parken war kein Problem und das Auto war auch sicher Nur in der Gegend waren sehr viele Obdachlose Sie waren aber sehr friedlich aber es ist einen etwas unangenehm

The hotel was very old, and the whole place smelled old. However, you must remember that you get what you pay for. The rate was extremely cheap, so I didn't go in with any great expectations. The parking was free, which was a big plus, and one of the reasons I chose to stay at Embassy. The lot was completely filled, but they let you double park and leave your keys at the front desk so they can move your car. The older man who worked at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. The elevator vibrations made me uneasy and the room was pretty basic. Everything worked, so I really can't complain. There was melted ice water in our ice bucket and dirty towels thrown on top of the dresser in the closet. The lighting was decent, and it was about a 20 minute walk to Union Square. All in all, I can't complain. It was really cheap, and it was pretty much what I expected. The hotel is really old, but they're making an effort to keep it decent. Remember. You get what you pay for, and if you're paying so little, you can only expect so much.

lets start at the begining.Check was 3pm we have 2 rooms we arrived at 4pm, one of the rooms was not ready. So had to get ready in one room.asked for more towels,the housekeeper said to see front desk.big run around Asked 3 times for towels finally took some off the housekeepings cart,when the did bring towels they were old and yellowed. the parking we had handicap parking but they gave that space away had to wait 25 min before one of the employee moved his car, or would of had to park down the center,and give desk keys to car. screen was also out in the room and cig. butts on window ledge,(so not a non smoking room).will not come back to this hotel.

Some irritating shortcomings included: non-smoking room smelled like smoke very slow and noisey elevator, could be heard from rooms maid staff jammed onto elevator with laundry carts, making guests wait or share with dirty laundry bathroom door wouldn't close minimal continental breakfast no tv remote control, tiny old fashioned tv

It was an okay hotel. We stayed for only one night but if we had been in the city for a longer period of time, I would have gotten a different hotel. It was comfortable and the price was right, but it's definitely for people on a budget and who won't be in the room for long periods of time. The surrounding neighborhood is pretty sketchy but we didn't really hang out there so it didn't bother us too much.

The rooms were clean but there was no refrigerator but the space it used to be was still there, I hate not having screens on the windows when you have to open them due to no a/c. The continental breakfast was a sugar rush. Toast, jelly, butter, nutella, choco chip muffins. There was apples and oranges though. The decorative pillows are not cleaned after every stay because one had a stain on it and the other one had a long hair on it. The hotel is one block from the worst neighborhood in downtown. But it is close to civic center, a park, and the Asian art museum. Not my first choice of a hotel room.

We have spent one night here, and overall we were very satisfied: the room was large, pretty clean (could be better, as a lot of dust has accumulated in the corners and under the furniture). Small but clean bathroom. The location was excellent for the Filmore (which was our target) and for starting a good city tour. The breakfast was decent. Complimentary parking was a clear advantage. We recommend it for a quick rest while visiting the city.

Convenient location for night scene. Also, close to pier 39 but not close enough to walk. Grab a cab or trolley. Free gated parking was a big bonus but spaces are kind of small.

The Embassy was a quaint hotel with parking provided. An excellant place to stay if you are attending an event at the Golden Gate Theater. The only complaint we had was our toilet leaked some water on the floor. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and there was plenty of closet space! Will definitely consider staying there on our next SF stay.

The hotel is a little shabby, but very clean and comfortable. Free parking is a huge bonus. It was easy to walk around downtown as the hotel was close to everything. There were a lot of vagrants in the area, but that is common wherever you go in SanFran. I would stay here again.

We love this hotel, and try to stay as often as possible.

Very old hotel which I guess was renovated; room is okay but non-smoking rooms were atleast once smoking room which is evident from smell. It is very near to Van Ness road (Fisherman's wharf) etc. but the street where it is present was somewhat scary (it is parallel to Van Ness though). Better skip the free breakfast (bread and jam) if you are not in a hurry! Free parking is available (but you have to do a round about drive to reach the parking because of one way roads).

The hotel served it purpose. Located near BART (public subway system). Hotel staff failed to mention it when I called a week in advance. Paid 20 dollars for a shuttle instead of 5 dollars using the BART towards the end of my trip. It's in the civic center. It's not really safe to be walking around alone at night.

Not for everyone. It's an old hotel and can't be expected to have all the shiny, convenient, and boring accoutrements of a modern motel. But if you like to explore a little beyond the contemporary, it's pretty nice. The decor is in keeping with the period in which the hotel was new (1930s); we found the deco details enchanting. The neighborhood was better than expected, but still not for those who are upset by seeing the less fortunate of their fellow citizens. The beds were comfortable. The black & green bathroom tiles were original and we liked that, but some might find them merely old and grungy. In all, we thought it was a fun and convenient place to stay, and certainly the best deal we could find. Free parking!

My husband & I are on a tight budget, so I sought out a good price and up came the Embassy. We had a concert to go to at the Grand Ballroom and wanted something within walking distance, this was the perfect location for that! Our room was clean and quaint, we found it quite charming and comfortable. The front desk staff were all kind and helpful, we had the free continental breakfast, great coffee! And the huge bonus was free parking! Thats a $20.00 savings alone. We would stay here again!

Funky place, helpful staff, great value. It's not the Hyatt so don't expect that. It's old, lived in but very cool. The bathroom in my room was small and the shower had a slight drip but the bed was comfortable the room was large. And for the price and the free parking it rocked. There's breakfast in the morning which I missed. The day clerk Bill was a doll very helpful. Very big with French tourists.

This hotel was great! The front desk guy was super helpful and very friendly. He made us feel very welcome. The women running the hotel the next day were a different story. They were cold and slightly rude. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a good location, walking distance to union square and other downtown attractions. The only thing i wish was that it had air conditioning. All in all, it was a great value for the money we paid!

The hotel was definitely older and that was definitely noticeable, but overall it was quite clean and fairly comfortable. It is not necessarily a quiet area and the bar downstairs does karaoke on Thursday nights which gets pretty loud, so expect some noise. The breakfast was pretty good - muffins, toast and jam, cornflakes, instant oatmeal, fruit, juice, milk, and coffee - definitely better than many other budget hotel breakfasts. The big plus was the free parking. The hotel has a gated lot adjacent to the hotel so it was really convenient. We just parked and left the car there and took public transportation for the few days we were there. There are at least two or three public buses you can catch within two blocks from this hotel, one of them goes right up to Fisherman's wharf. The day we arrived they let us check in a few hours early which was great. Then the last day we were there we had an Alcatraz/City tour booked which picked us up at 9am and didn't finish 'til about 6pm. The hotel let us keep our car in the lot all day after we checked out until we came back for it that evening to leave town.

I knew when I booked the room you get what you pay for. The room was clean, beds hard, carpeting wet from a leaky heater radiator valve, and had requests a working TV remote control. But in the morning, there was no hot water. They were working on it, but it would be several hours before hot water would be restored. To their credit, they offered to refund the cost of the room.

We had 2 rooms at The Embassy Hotel in SF. It was a lovely, clean hotel. The front desk person was very helpful. The bonus was the free off street parking. That is hard to find in SF.

The price of the room wasn't bad. I just didn't like the bathroom in our room. The shower had some dark buildup on the grout. I probably would spend a few more bucks and get a nicer hotel.

Everything about my stay here was satisfactory. The room next door had some noisy people in it, but I had no trouble getting to sleep. The room was neat and clean, and the hotel has a cool, older feel to it. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is close to BART, and there's free parking, so you can't really go wrong.

Nice building, art deco architecture, but in a rough neighborhood. Pretty comfortable, good-sized rooms, but some furniture looks like it was picked up at a Salvation Army fire sale. Limited amenities and services, but the gentleman at the desk (Bill?) was top-notch and extremely helpful. Free parking, but treacherous lot and dark (almost pitch black) hotel access from rear lot. If you know what you should expect and can deal with the drawbacks, it really was a decent value.

I wouldn't say it was a drama but you get what you bought. A cheap room. it's ok to stay at night but a longer vacation, no i wouldn't choose it

Decent location but small rooms. no outlets in the bathroom...weird. old stained bathroom floors and shower floor. They have a gate so your car is closed in the parking lot but you have to wait and eventually call them to open it because they never look at the screen and see you so the camera's they have out there are pointless

Well, Hotel has to do some renovations and improvement. I like the price but the ambiance and the rooms are not in great conditions. But I do like that they have compliment breakfast and very corteous and approachable personnel. customer relations is amazaing..

Hotel was just a few blocks from electric cars, bus stops, and BART, so it was easy to get around. Hotel staff was very friendly. Building was small, but quaint. Room was a good size considering the price. I was vacationing with friends, so we weren't in the room very much. I would def. recommend this place if you're on a budget!

The rooms were very nice and quaint, and the service was great. We only went for one night, but really enjoyed our stay.

I was travelling with three other friends, we're all in our twenties and were staying in San Francisco to see a concert that weekend. We're not picky and knew we would be spending the majority of our time out in the streets not in the room so this hotel was just fine for us. Only 5ish blocks from Market St, the Bart and Muni transport systems and there's an Irish pub right underneath the hotel with pool tables and a cool bartender(ess) haha with great taste in what to put on the juke box. Not going to deny it, it's an old building, but it's charming. We liked that the parking was free and has a huge security gate. The heat in our room DEFINITELY worked. Water temp and pressure in the bathroom was good. Clean beds. I'd say this is a good hotel if you're not a fussy traveller.

Clean hotel, a little dated but comfortable. Lovely breakfast and nice bar. The area isn't great with a number of homeless around, but never had any hassle, in fact many wished us a happy holiday. Would recommend this hotel for the price.

Yes this hotel may be cheap, but thats exactly what you are getting. The furnace in my room made this horrible loud noise all night and barely kept my room warm. There were kids down the hall playing loud music all night. Everytime anyone on my floor moved an inch I heard it. The comforter had stains all over it. Also the room had a weird odor to it. It smelled like stale musk. The only thing I did like about the room was the location. I had an interview that was right across the street. The hotel staff was very nice, but I still wouldnt go there again.

I stayed on Thanksgiving night to go to "Cream of Beats" in S.F. The price was perfect, the location was great, and it was very clean! We will definitely return!

Granted San Francisco was experiencing unusually warm weather, when I called the front desk for a fan I was told "You do realize you're in San Francisco, and we dont have air condition right?" I dont have air condition in my home either but I still have a fan! I have also never seen more prostitutes in my entire life I saw 5 on the same block as our hotel. My Grandparents were scared, the hotel room was decent but incredibly hot. If you want ventilation by opening a window prepare to listen to the prostitutes yelling and sirens blaring.

The area is not the greatest, but the hotel itself was nice, quiet, cozy, and trust me, I'm a young, trendy person. I'd definately stay again!

A small slow elevator bumped and squeaked next to our room (#606)all night long. Ear plugs were needed. Someone left their large bottle of shampoo in the shower on the floor. Staff was very friendly.

For the price it is an excellent value. The building is great old architecture w/ plenty of character and has been recently freshened up. Our room was good size, clean, furnished nicely, and the beds were comfy. The property is very central to most neighborhoods in SF. There is a lot happening in the neighborhood or plenty of transit options at hand if you want to check out another area. Stay there! I'm going to again.
