Words alone cannot describe this place...I have made occasional errors in judgement - but this was so much worse than I could have ever imagined. Attracted by the low rate - I realized that I may be giving up some creatures comforts...but not the expectation of a clean bathroom and clean bed linens. This place is disgusting - I wouldn't even send my ex in-laws to stay there.

My room was right next to the lobby. Very noisy when people were walking in & out. Lots of mosquitos and spiders were in the room. Since the room has only one window next to the lobby, I blocked it with the blind. I didn't pay attention to any insects until I got bited. It has strong fragrance in the room. However, it smells like the one used in Men's restrooms.

Turned the heater on and the extreme emission of dust set off the smoke alarm that continued for more than 5 minutes as we fanned the dust and smell away from the alarm. Although the alarm was clearly audible outside the room as we had the door open to clear the air, no hotel personnel bothered to check whether or not there was actually a fire.

It had a full refridgerator, a stove, pots and pans, silverware. It was a like a nice size no frills studio apartment. It was clean and the limited staff was courteous and polite. Also it had like a full washroom that you could access. It also had a reasonable $5 dollar a day internet access rate. I would definately stay there again whenever in San Diego/La Jolla area.

Everything about the hotel was very nice from the customer service to the hotel. i highly recommend this hotel

Everything was perfect as usual, except for the first night I spent in a room with the world's noisiest refrigerator. I changed rooms and it was all good.

It's a matter of what is ur req. I need a kitchen & 2 queen size bed. Exactly what they have for me perfect. Clean & spacious on the 2nd floor rm 370 no odour. riendly customer service. It's for people with req of long stay & need a kitchen like me. Very nicely located near the highway & only about 3 miles radius to any grocery or eatery. But since house keeping is only 1/wk up to u to improvice or can also pay for housekeeping too. But the price is a bit steep as I only use the room to sleep & cook. 1 bad thing is internet must pay????? Hotel management could have made better plas to provide free internet access or at least 1 computer at the lobby usuage per person 10min at 1 time only.... THX

The room we were given seemed clean at first until the roach showed up. Generally poor maintenance, heavy water stains in bathroom above shower (like ceiling was flooded from above and poorly repaired), rust, crud and gunk in every corner if you looked hard enough. Bathroom fan was noisy and did little to pull the steam out of the bathroom. Outside grounds were nicely kept; if they could do that for inside the rooms, it could be a hotel worth recommending. There are better and plentiful choices in the area; we took this because it was last minute and within our budget.

Direct TV trucks everywhere and they are very loud at night. Dealing with some staff was not pleasant. When asking questions, I was made to feel I was putting her out of her way. Not professional at all. Staff was smoking outside laundry room, so when I got my clean clothes back to my room, the stunk of smoke. I don't think much is expected of the staff, so it's best to just suck it up and not ask.

Room had a bad smell when arrived each day.When I reported to front desk clerk, he had no reponce. Just a smile, like he's heard this before. Key card needed to be programed daily. What a bother. T/V romote useless. All in all good room for the discounted rate I got from Hotels.com

The hotel was nice they were installing a new broiler and the hot water wasn't hot. Over all it was nice and I had forgotten to get a receipt for the stay and when I called to request a copy on monday they were not able to get one for me.

The web page made it seem as we would have a room large enough for 3 adults with 2 Queen Size beds. It appears that this hotel merely took a standard room and forced 2 Queen beds into the space. no room to walk or sit except on the bed. Maintenance was lacking - broken closet door, dresser, TV only worked with Remote. We've come to expect bad shower heads in hotels, but theis was about the worst. More than low flow. Also, be aware that this hotel is very limited service. No maid service, no shampoo or other toiletries (although I think I could have gone to the desk and asked for some). For the amount of money they charged (which was not much less than any other similar quality hotel), you'd be better to stay at a Holiday Inn Express or any other number of suite type hotels. You may not get the full kitchen (= full refrigerator + Stove), but at least you get maid service, exercise room, breakfast.

While it was convienant and having the refrigerator/microwave as well as a few dishes was nice, the service and overall quality of the room as well as a very slow internet access {page display took as long as 20 minutes or more} made this an unacceptable choice.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room actually had a kitchenette. The room was comfortable and clean. The only problem was the internet connection. It took more than 2 hours to get connected and then it kept failing and was extremely slow. As for a place to rest and take excursion from the next day, this room was great. Thanks and I will certainly stay here every time I need to stay in the San Diego area.

Room had a funky smell. Bathroom fan so noisy we couldnt hear the TV.

The room was very small and no ammenities were included. No shampoo, etc. The bed frame on one of the beds was broken and when you sat on the corner the whole bed would tip. It was a non-smoking room, but there were ashtrays outside the room and smoke oder would enter the room. The room was clean and the location was fine.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had called ahead to make a special room request and they were able to accommodate me. The room was in good condition and comfortable for what I paid. Would stay there again.

Good value. However, be aware that even though its re-painted and refinished, all facilities are old (tub, appliances, etc) and walls are paper thin. Aside from waking to the fridge cycling up every hour, or the neighbors alarm clock or TV, it was OK if you are simply looking for business travel at a decent rate.

My only thing was the nothing is really close to the hotel. Not shopping for small items nor beaches or sights. The closest is about 3 miles. Traffic was light around the hotel and it's close to Sea World/San Diego.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. And if you need a full kitchen, this could easily be your choice. However, I found myself driving on the main street, passing several other hotels and wondering if I could have gotten a room for the same price that would have been in better condition. The non-smoking room that we paid for smelled terribly of smoke in the bathroom every time the fan/light was turned on. In addition, I did not feel comfortable having bare feet on the carpet. The last thing that bothered me was a sign placed on the wall of the stairwell that said the facility contained harmful chemicals. I wish that would have been disclosed to me before I signed on the dotted line. I don't get to stay in hotels very often, and even though I saved money by staying here, I wish I would have spent just a little more to feel like I was on vacation.

Good, no frills hotel with the most basic amenities.

great room for the money. pillows were flat, but overall cozy room. excellent customer service at front desk. would stay here again.

Just wish the TVs in their rooms had the yellow/red/white hook-ups for my PS2. Several hotels in this area surprisingly don't have these hook-ups on their TVs. I travel often for days at a time and I'm married with toddlers - so for evenings on the road I prefer to unwind with mellow dinners and video games/movies in my room. Night after night of watching whatever is on TV can get pretty mind-numbing. And yeah, I know I could read a book too...

Chose this place for kitchenette feature and proxmity to work. Positives: Friendly helpful staff, quiet, good parking, refrigerator, stove, cooktop and internet access (with a small charge). Negatives: Maid service could really stand to do a much more thorough job of cleaning these rooms between patrons. Areas behind furniture were filthy. Rates were a bit high.

This was overall a great place to stay. The mini kitchen was great b/c I stayed numerous nights. I liked how I could park right in front of my room. The TV was a nice size. The room smelled nice, unlike other hotels/inns I've stayed at. Very cozy. Option for laundry, which was nice. My only complaint is that maid service is only every 7 days (if you're there that long) unless you pay a $10 fee, which still isn't a bad price. Also, bring your own shampoo b/c they only provide soap.

I enjoyed having the kitchen - there were a few supplies, which was nice. No oven, but it all worked out well. Having the "second" room (living room area/kitchen area) was great. We weren't tripping over each other. I will stay here again.
