Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls - Niagarafälle

Die Aussicht ist phenomenal. Zustand gerade noch ok. Personal war besonders unfreundlich. In der Lobby riecht es extrem nach Chlor durch den Indoorpool.

als wir ankamen haben wir erst einmal eingecheckt, wenn man nett fragt kriegt man vielleicht auch ein zimmer im 8. stock . zwar mussten wir noch einmal 10 dollar pro tag für einen parkplatz bezahlen aber das ging dann auch. als wir dann ins zimmer kamen waren wir erst einmal sprachlos. das war der beste blick den man für das geld haben kann. das zimmer wurde auch jeden tag gereinigt und war sehr sauber. man kann sich das geld für den aussichtsturm wirklich sparen. der blick reicht eigentlich völlig. man hat auch nachts nicht viel von den fällen gehört, nur ein bisschen rauschen aber das war sehr schön. schade das wir dort nur 2 nächte waren. ich würde sofort wieder hin. man sollte vielleicht noch einen 6. bewertungspunkt einführen.

Absolut empfehlenswert mit der Zusatzbuchung "mit Blick auf die Niagara Falls". Eigentlich zu schade für nur eine Übernachtung. Ganz hervorragender Service. Liegt direkt am Eingang zu dem Nationalpark.

The view was unbeatable. 14th floor, directly across from the horseshoe falls. The hotel is aged a bit for the money. If I go back I might try the Sheraton or Hilton next time. Not bad though!

we stayed the second time in this Hotel and again we were totally satisfied with the service and the rooms. The view you have from the upper floors is worth spending a little more money than for the rooms on the lower floors. Next time we stay in Niagara Falls, CA, we will stay in this Hotel again!!

Front desk personal unprofessional and snotty, purposely gave wrong information when asked about area attractions and dining. Room very basic and bathroom in disrepair. Exercise facilities had broken and unuseable equipement. Had to pay additional for parking in hotel lot. The only thing good was the view,but not worth price of room. Will not go back.

We booked a special weekend for our anniversary. I paid a little extra to be on the upper floors and felt it was worth every cent. The view of the falls was absoloutly breathtaking. The room was VERY spacious and the windows were floor to ceiling facing the falls. The room was pristine when we arrived and the staff was always friendly and helpful. If we return to the area we will most certainly stay here again :)

The Hotel was conveniently located. It was close to all the attractions. The room was very clean and spacious.

I thought the location could not be beat - great vews and easy walking to everything - made the trip extremely convenient.

despite the comments written previously, I found the room clean and well kept. the view from the room was great and the staff was prompt and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing i didnt like was the 20 dollar parking fee. for what we paid we should have parked for free.

We had a nice room overlooking the falls. The view was beautiful but we were very disappointed at the way the front desk staff attitude. The y were so standoffish and rude Fortunately we did not let this ruin our stay

Our room was very comfortable and had gorgeous views of niagra falls. Front desk staff were unhelpful and almost rude, particularly the day shift staff.

We were very impressed with our stay. We were on the 15th floor and had a wonderful view of the falls! The jacuzzi bath was a nice addition as well.

Wanted to have a nice hotel room for a romantic stay, so I spent a bit extra. It was definitely worth it. Had a 13th floor room which had a great view of both the american and horseshoe falls. I would not recommend the dinner deal because the food at remington's is not spectacular. Service was great and the hot tub was big enough for three people.

The room was great. I loved the view of the Falls. I was able to stay in my room to watch the fireworks.

... you aren't there during bad weather or too high have it obstructed by low hanging clouds. Our view of the illumination of the falls along with the fireworks we obstructed because we were on floor 20. I will warn you about thier pillows ... flat, flat, flat. When I called and asked for something that wasn't flat, I was informed that is thier standard pillow. So be prepared to ask for more if you like something with a little more plump to it. You will pay both for parking and Internet access if come. Both of these are pet peeves of mine in general especially when you pay large $$$ for the room. If its your first time coming, be prepared to pay large dollars for everything. My wife and I dropped $52 for lunch at the Applebees on property just for brunch. Just be prepared.

We stayed on the 20th floor the room was clean and nicely decorated. The view was spectacular we could see the horseshoe falls and the american falls. Breathtaking sunrise. We were lucky to be staying when the fireworks went off perfect view. Soda machines and ice were not after the 12 floor but not a problem at all.

We booked a Fallsview Suite for our one night stay and was extremely satisfied. The view of the falls was excellent. It was nice to sit by the window and watch the activities below. The only negative for us was the very limited selection of available channels on the tv. Other than that, it was a very good hotel.

Our room was on the 4th floor which was the observation floor. Our huge window overlooked the falls. It was great! The location was within walking distance of other attractions and we enjoyed the dinner and breakfast package as well. I would recommend spending the night.

This hotel is very close to the main area to view the falls. The location is easily accessible to all areas of Niagara Falls. If you get a Fallsview room, the view is amazing. The hotel is older, but the room was very comfortable and clean. The view is very much worth the extra money it costs to get a Fallsview room.

People at the reception area were too busy - all the time I stopped at the desk. I feel that if I am being helped I have priority over a phone call. If the phone rings while I am being helped the caller should be put on hold. Instead I had to wait to a whole reservation process !!!! Many questions I asked were answered with "I don't know". Personnel was not helpful at all.

The location is good, however the state of the hotel is pretty poorly maintained. You would expect more for the price you pay.

The View was spectacular and the room was a nice size, but the service was awful. Our key card was erased everyday. The staff came to kick us out of our room one day after we had payed to extend our stay to the next morning. We asked for extra pillows and never received them. As I said before the view was great and would have been even better if the windows were cleaned sometime in the last century. We made the mistake of purchasing a couples package through the hotel and ended up having the worst dinner at a terrible excuse for a fine dinning establishment.

We enjoyed our stay at the Oakes Hotel. The view from our room on the 8th floor was spectacular. The room was pretty basic, but it was all we needed for our short stay, and it was the right price.

We loved the view from our 12th floor room. Be sure to get a fallswview suite higher than the 9th floor. Concierge was very nice, location is very good right next to the incline railway. Good place for families!

we got upgraded to a bi-level family suit with living room and bedroom. view was great, staff was nice. location is perfect. parking was 15.00 extra.

We spent the 4th of July weekend at Niagara and we had a blast. Part of it included the view of the fireworks from the room. We had two small issues with the access keys and the pay services in the room but both were quickly resolved.

Spent 4 mights in early July. Incredible view from 10th floor room overlooking Horseshoe Falls and the fireworks. Easy walk to several restaurants. About 10 minute walk to street that goes down to the falls or take the incline railway right across the street from the hotel. Nice to be away from all the hustle and bustle of Clifton Hills, but an easy 20 minute walk to get there. Pleasant service. Got great deal by watching for prices dropping on hotels.com and rebooking for better deals. Nothing fancy, but overall great location and room with a view for the price!

We had very comfortable corner room on 13th floor with great view of falls. Not very clean jet tub would be the only complain. Hotel staff is very friendly.

First of all we paid a lot to stay here, and they charged us for parking on their lot...This was not noted on the hotel listing...I called and asked about the internet, and I was told that it was only available in the lobby. I was also told that it was free. When I got there I was told that I had to pay for it...Their exercise room which consists of 2 bikes, a stepper and 1 piece of lifting equipment was closed…...Pay a little more and stay some where else.... The only positive thing about the place was the view.

The view from the room and the location were awesome but that was about all the hotel had going for it. Daily parking and internet charges really put a dent in our whole stay at the hotel. I expected that paying for a nice room would make things like parking and internet included but apparently not. The hotel also has a very old feel to it inside, noticed a lot of carpet stains both in the hallways as well as in our upper-tier room. Gross. The view from the room was amazing, jacuzzi tub was awesome and the location was great.

This was a nice hotel, not 5 star but it didn't have a 5 star price either. It was clean and well kept, a great location and we had the best view of the falls we could have possibly had. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants the falls experience without the falls view price.

Was clean but a little on the older side. I reserved a room with a "fallside view" but was given one on the 3rd floor. All we could see was the parking lot and trees. Definitely need one from the 9th floor and up. On the plus side it was within walking distance of everything and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel has great view overlooking the Horse shoe falls if you get a fallsview hotel room (floor 9 and up). It's close to fallsview Casino and inclined railway station. Apple Bee restaurant is next to it. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. Walking to Skylon tower is about 20 minutes away. I will stay at this hotel if I am going again in the future.

Hotel was nice and clean, good for the money, but NOT KID FRIENDLY.. Yes,I would recommend this hotel, but not to a family with little children ages (2-9). No T.V. for kids (must pay $11) to watch T.V.
