The Fairmont Vancouver Airport - Richmond

We stopped in between a gruelling arrival flight and moving on to see grizzly bears. Wonderfully comfortable rooms and peaceful, the sound-proofing works. The restaurant is not a pretty room but service there is terrific.

Super convenient after coming in on the red eye. Best Airport Hotel I've stayed in.

Great hotel in the Vancouver airport. We spent the night there before an early flight the next day. very confortable.

We stayed here because we had an early morning flight. So, being over the depature terminal was great. I don't know if all Fairmount Hotels have this policy, but there was no cream in the room (for coffee.) We had stayed at another Fairmount earlier on the trip - same thing. Also, I don't like the "move anything in the mini-bar and you'll be charged."

The room we had was spacious and beautiful in design, but the wood furniture and trim were scarred and a little grubby. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom luxurious. Decor in the bar and dining room is opulent without being impressive (huge fake trees, worn upholstery). Food and drink were unduly expensive. But: location, location.... You can walk to the airline ticket counter from the lobby.

The hotel is in the Vancouver (YVR) airport right next to the USA airlines. If you have to stay overnight when traveling, this option is TOO EASY. No cab etc.

This hotel is within the airport, and cannot get more convenient if you are just flying in or flying out. We were flying out the next morning, so I dropped off a rental car and was able to just walk to the hotel afterwards. Next morning, they brought all our luggage from our room to the terminal (which is just downstairs) and loaded up the airport cart for us, all ready to go. We stayed in a Fairmont Gold room on the top floor, and I highly recommend it. The room was beautiful with a separate jetted-tub in the bathroom, and comes with amenities like bottles of water, welcome cookies, free Internet and delicious breakfast next morning in the 14th floor lounge. Well worth the extra money.

Convenience to the airport for international flights. Overpriced for short stays.

If you have an early flight, or arrive late, this is the perfect place to stay.

One of the best hotels that we've ever stayed in. Awesome room, obviously convenient to any airport connections. We arrived very late on our flight and the checkin took only minutes. Just a great place.

A great price through Hotels.com and excellent place to stay for overnight accomodations especially since we arrived 3 hours later than expected. The hotel was within walking distance inside the airport. Perfect location and great since we did not have to shuttle to another hotel with all the luggage, etc. We were picked up outside of the hotel and taken to a cruise ship the following morning. Very nice clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

Gorgeous rooms that rivaled some rooms of the Ihilani Resort in Hawaii! Definitely deserves all the kudos it got from previous reviewers! Loved the luxurious huge bathrooms with large soaking tubs! Travertine tile in the shower and floor, plush comforters and pillows, handy light controller on the nightstand, and top-notch ammenities. The fireplace in the lobby was a nice touch. Never thought an airport hotel would be so grand and luxurious, but this one blew all of our expectations!

I knew the hotel was close to the airport but didn't realize it was right IN the terminal (rather than somewhere on the airport grounds...). The location was so perfect we were able to drop off the rental car early and check-in at the terminal the night before. The concierge was extremely helpful in getting settled. And I was extraordinarily impressed that I could watch planes land from my room and not hear them at all. All that, on top of the fine quality of the room. This was my first stay at a Fairmont and I will definitely look for them again. A great deal!

The hotel is beautiful and is just an escalator ride away from the airport terminal. It's a bit of a hike to get to downtown Vancouver, but is a great place to stay if you are flying out the next day.

I wish internet for limited hours and breakfast should have been included in the price. Parking is far far away unless you want to spend $ 25 per day for valet parking

okay, it's true that this hotel is completely soundproof from the usual airport noises, we were absolutely amazed & delighted. when the fire alarm went off multiple times(once around 1am, 3 times around 3am), however, our sleep was ruined. the worst part was not knowing if there was a real emergency or not. Hubby went to lobby to get answers(no one answered the phone, no one came to the 10th floor), but the small crowd of guests were told only that it was a false alarm. The management next morning had lame explanations to our questions regarding security and emergency management, and they were not pro-active in customer care. In the end they offered to comp, but i am unlikely to stay here again based on their responses. too bad because there were many things i liked about the hotel, including great wait staff in the restaurant.

The hotel is nice and is just perfect for the early flights. However, I was quite surprised when I found out that they charge $3 for every local call and $10 for a small bottle of water.

The location, attached to the Airport, was great for catching a little extra sleep and not having to hassle with rental car return before an early flight. Lovely rooms, no noise from airport activities, first class service, great breakfast buffet for kids, very comfortable beds

For a late night arrival or early morning departure from Vancouver Airport, the Fairmount Hotel is the ideal place to stay. This is a luxury hotel with all the conveniences and services you expect from a five star hotel. Sunday breakfast buffet is excellent.
