We booked a fallsview room and I followed the advice of other reviewers and requested a high floor - we had a great view from the 12th floor - perfect for the fireworks! The hotel room was clean and ample in size - we valet parked the car which I thought was worth the extra money - less headache! I would stay there again..

Bewertet von Daleel aus Nanuet am Sep 10, 2009
Stayed at the Sheraton on the Falls for the labor day weekend. Selected the hotel, based on affordability and proximity to the water park. Originally I selected a room without a view (which meant that there wasn't even a window there), but I asked for a room upgrade for a partial view and received one. The hotel is conveniently located (walking distance to) the falls and the water park. The Clifton Hill area has lots of activities for adults and kids alike and lots of restaurants. The hotel is also walking distance (relatively) to the other group of hotels near the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort. I would recommend this hotel to others.

This was a wonderful hotel. We were in a FallsView room on the 6th floor and had a perfect view of the American/Bridal Falls and an osbstructed (tree)view of the Horseshoe Falls. This didn't matter because the mist blocked much of the Horseshoe Falls view anyway. The hotel was about a 3 minute walk to the falls overlooking a nice garden area. It was within blocks of the Midway which contained all kinds of activities and restaurants. The outdoor 7th floor pool was nice (we didn't swim, too cold). Our room also provided a nice view of the fireworks.

Our overall experience at this hotel was highly positive. The location and views from this hotel are perfect, as well as the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms. The only down falls are the elevators for the higher levels are super slow to get around. The elevator to get to the parking garage is a joke as well as there is only one. However, that is about all we could complain about. The rest is amazing.

The hotel staff could not be more friendly and accomodating. The room exceeded our expectations and was the most comfortable we stayed in over the vacation. The view of the Horseshoe Falls was obstructed by some trees. Need to be at least on the 9th floor. Restaurant is very good, little pricey.

Bewertet von Rachelle aus Akron am Aug 27, 2009
The hotel itself was great and the location of the hotel was awesome. The parking, however, left much to be desired. My mother was with us, who has a cane, and it was quite a distance from the parking lot to the hotel and hard for her. Plus you had to pay $20 per day parking (which I feel should be included when you are paying for a room), costs more if you use valet. But, if you go to Casino Niagra and get a "players card", even if you never use it gamble you can use the card to swipe out of the parking deck and you get free parking.

The hotel is in the middle of everything within walking distance of all major attractions. The hotel rooms with fall view are excellent, make sure to be on the top rooms (7th floor or above) so you can see both falls (US and Canadian). The rooms need the furniture to be arranged in a way that the view can be seen from the beds and from the sofa. Have no idea what they were thinking of when arranging the furniture.

There was chipped paint all over the walls and the overhang in the middle of the room, which was visibly prominent as soon as we walked in. The beds were OK and the linens were not that great at all. However, the bathroom was very nice and clean and my husband loved watching TV while he got ready in the morning. I had requested and was expecting a higher floor, but the view from our 10th floor full fallsview room was pretty awesome. If you can, request a room at the end of the hotel closest to Clifton Hill - it would be a better view of the Horseshoe Falls than we had in the middle of the hotel. Also, we were in room 1060, which is right by the elevator and we could hear the ding elevator arriving all night & morning long. When we arrived there was a cot in the middle of our room which we had not asked for, so clearly our room was originally intended for someone else. We asked the front desk to remove the cot while we were out too dinner, which never happened. It remained in our room for the next two days. We tried several times to call the front desk and the concierge and could never get through, then we were finally told (with a laugh) that "those buttons on the phone never work!" The hotel was very busy and crowded and there were almost always people standing in a long line at registration. However, the concierge was always very helpful with directions and advice. Families and kids dominate this hotel - don't stay here if you're looking for a quiet, romantic get-away. But our 10-year-old loved all the attractions of the hotel and of Clifton Hill, which is like a mini-Las Vegas for kids right outside the front door. In all, the hotel was a little different than my expectation of it, but we really ended up enjoying our room and our stay here. NOTE: The hotel charges for parking - I think it is something like $15/day. DON'T add that to your bill when you first check in!!! This is a hotel.com issue. The words "floor to ceiling view of the falls" obviously means something different to the folks at hotel.com than they do to me. If you crane your neck to look out of your five foot wide window, you can see the falls. A phone call to the front desk validated my concern and it was agreed to reduce the room charge. Nothing else was available. This was somewhat of a solution; however, I was still left wanting a nice view of the falls.

If you're willing to pay a bit extra for a centrally located hotel on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, it's hard to beat this one. My fifth-floor room had a full-on view of American Falls and was a three minute walk from the Maid of the Mist boat ride, and even closer to the People Mover stop and the ticket booth selling attraction packages. The Clifton Avenue honky-tonk was right next door; a beautifully landscaped park and the Secret Garden restaurant were in across the street in front; Rainbow Bridge to the American side is nearby. If you don't mind walking a little, you can just leave your car in the garage (there was an extra charge) and do all your falls sightseeing by foot and People Mover. The hotel is part of a complex that includes an amusement arcade, a Hard Rock Cafe, a Hershey's store and an indoor water park. The hotel is well-maintained, the room was quiet, the bathroom was relatively large (and had a small flat-screen TV). The traffic on Falls Avenue in front is a zoo most of the time, but there's a pull-in parking area next to the lobby for checking in and checking out, and there always seemed to be hotel employees there trying to move the cars in and out as smoothly as possible. The hotel isn't cheap, but it's worth it.

Hallway gives look of 2 star hotel, not vacuumed in months. Room was OK. Decent cityview, but didn't felt like staying in 4.5 star hotel. Courtyard/Country inn rooms have better appeal then this hotel room. Nothing special about this hotel. Rooms were really OK. Flat screen tv and clean room were only positive things. Very expensive.
