Everglades Hotel - Londonderry

The Everglades is a reasonably upscale hotel that's about a 10-minute drive from the center of Derry. With a car, it's not an inconvenient place to stay, although you can't walk to anything. Without a car, staying there would be a problem. The buffet breakfast was excellent but the hotel and I had a disagreement about whether it was included in my room rate. At check-in, I was told it was included; at check-out, I was told it wasn't. There are two hotels in or near the center of Derry, but driving to and from them, and parking near by, would be a problem. There are convenient multi-story parking garages adjoining the Foyleside shopping center which abuts the old city walls, which is fine if you're prepared to spend $7 or more to park for the day. On balance, the Everglades is a good choice and reasonable value for money.

The room was comfortable & clean. Found the bar staff disinterested-took 10 minutes to get a drink on Friday night when there were only about 10 people in the bar & 3 barpeople!!!! There was a wedding both days which definitely was the staff's priority. Only £4 for taxi into Derry city so while a bit out of the city it's easliy accessible.

The hotel was nice, our room faced the street which was fine except when window was open. It was a little outside of town, a car was very helpful.

Lovely hotel with spacious rooms. The staff were pleasant and cheerful despite my 19 year old constantly ringing room service. I would use again.
