Best Western Europa Downtown - Montreal

Kaum Steckdosen im Zimmer. Man musste schon irgenwas anderes (Lampe/Fernseher) rausziehen, um z.B. Laptop,Handy,etc anzuschliessen. Der Rest war top!

Hotel met all expectations. good location, Close to downtown, 300' from St Catherine, 2 blocks from Crescent. within walking distance to a lot of things (bring your walking shoes). only 15-20 minute walk to Old Montreal or Place Des Arts. Not high scale, No bell hop or Concierge but room was large and roomy, not small like i was told by others. the Bathroom was small but had good hot water and pressure. bed was a bit uncomfortable but typical for most hotels. there is a computer in Lobby with internet access, Free WI-FI in the rooms. The hotel was obviously bought by Best western and they put their name on it with little or no modifications. the Big Best Western Skyscraper was a few blocks down the road. the hotel bar/Lounge Was closed for what looked like a while. The spa on the Roof was open but did not get a chance to use it. The Restaurant (Chez Cora) in the hotel was excellent. serves breakfast and lunch. just as i was told NO PARKING. the lot across the street is $20/day. No night security but as long as you dont leave anything exposed you are ok. No Local maps, but the Sheraton 2 doors down has great free maps of montreal. Hotel could use a Facelift, but works for the money. not worth paying their full price but the room rate through Hotels.com was great.

The hotel was clean, conveniently located close to cool bars and restaurants downtown, with very spacious rooms. Overall, awesome experience with no complaints!

Handly location and friendly staff. Room was very small, not much room for two cases and corridors a bit tatty.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my hotel stay. However, the fitness room was only open from 9 am to 9 pm, and these were not hours at which I could make use of this facility.

Great location - close to downtown as well as the attractions - Old Montreal is just 3 subway stops away!

One room with 2 beds has enough space and air conditioning is cooler; the other room with 1 Queen bed is much smaller in space and not as cool. The rates are different for those 2 rooms, so think about it before you book. It worthy to have a room with 2 beds with a little extra money.

I have stayed in many hotels where reviewers characterized the rooms as "small." However, this one really is small. If you sit on the toilet, your toes touch the bathtub and your knees almost touch (I'm only 5'8"); after a while I started sitting sideways! However, the hotel is 1/2 block from St. Catherine's street, which is a center of activity, a big plus. And the adjoining breakfast place (Cora's) was tasty. Overall we wished the room, bathroom and hallways were bigger, but the service, cleanliness and location were worth what we paid.

The hotel is really nice located. The city of montreal is quite big and your are at walking distance (less than 30min) from all famous viewing. The standart room was a little bit small and dark but enough for a leisure trip

Great spot for being in the downtown close to shopping and bars. Hotel is clean. Rooms were kind of small, but good if you plan to spend most of your time in the city.

My room was small, hotel no longer had a pool, gym was not at all that extensive. Room was clean, neat, in order, great location, free use of internet and WIFI. If you want a bigger room, get two twin beds.

You could not ask for a better location to see any event at the Bell Center. Hotel one block away. Had no problem finding a great meal in the neighborhood and we were right in the heart of the night life. Great location if you are going to plan a Bachelor Party in Montreal (Club Downtown and Wanda's right around the corner). Planning on staying here for a trip to the Jazz Fest. The only negatives: bathroom was small with no counter space and unsecured parking in the lot across the street. The breakfast place in the hotel was out of this world.

My boyfriend and i go to Montreal at least once a year for an overnight. We have always stayed at the Europa as it is centrally located to all that we want to do and the price is good. Part of what we like is that there was a hot tub on the top floor for guests -- you could just access it at your convenience -- now however, they have changed the hot tub to a spa and you have to make a reservation -- you can still use it, but it is a bit of a pain to schedule it. Otherwise if you want to be in central downtown Montreal at a cheap, clean hotel, the Europa is the way to go.

nice place for a weekend with friends , like we did...just really stayed there to sleep and then go out to have fun. its not the best but ive stayed in worst places before. so i do recommend this place .

hotel is convenient and clean, rooms are small and a little noisy. The price was good although you have to pay around 20 dollars for parking. lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

The staff were wonderful, very helpfull. The rooms were very small, not even enough room for our bags. The carpet was filthy, and the beds lumpy. I think that they need a reno. It could be Charming place with a bit of work. The location was very good. So if yiu don't care about sleeping in a match box, it would do.

Perfect location for bars/nightlife, had a great time with my friends here.

The hotel was fantastic, in the best location you could ask for in Montreal, the staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and pretty. The new spa was amazing. The deal I got on hotels.com was a really amazing one which made the whole experience that much better. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The front desk staff were VERY knowledgeable about the local area. They were able to provide information on best places to exchange currency, most popular night clubs, major landmarks, transportation, stores, etc. They were also very quick and courteous to fulfill any requests. The hotel is within walking distance the subway system, many restaurants, bars, etc. It is the prefect place to stay if you want a taste of the night life in Montreal. Also, it is within walking distance (15 minutes) of many museums, landmarks, and the waterfront. Parking is in a neighboring lot which will cost money separate from the room fee, though it is reasonable. The hotel itself has a very nice atmosphere. It also has a restaurant on the ground floor for breakfast--it was delicious! I highly recommend this hotel!

Great room particularly considering the price and the location. It was conveniently located downtown within walking distance of the train station, the underground mall, several pubs, and the International Beer Festival next to the Bell Centre.

The service exceeded expectations. Excellent value for money. From the hotel We can walk to all downtown touristic sites, The Old City and Chinatown.

Not only greate room for the money.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Bell Centre and close to many restaurants,nightclubs and shopping.The staff was very curtious and helpful.

Nothing special about this hotel, a little gloomy in the lobby. The rooms are reasonable in size and clean, but the tub tended to back up. The location, though, is excellent with lots of places to eat and see nearby, as well as the metro. A good place to stay if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room. Then again, this area is full of hotels.

It was a pretty small room, just enough room for a queen size bed and a TV and Table, Not that I expected it to be much larger. I went to take a shower and the hot water wouldn't turn on, so I called the front desk and they told me that I had to run the water for 5-10 minutes to get hot water... which wasn't bad it was just annoying. They also didn't tell me they were charging me a pre-authorization fee at check in. (they said it would be a hold, but the money is still gone) While I was out in Montreal I took money out of my account, and since their ATM in their lobby has no "balance inquiry" option, I just took out some money because I knew how much I had. Not knowing they had taken money out, so My account was put in the negative. Ive been calling the hotel for 2 days to figure out how to get my money back and they always transfer me, and I left a message and haven't gotten a call back yet. All and all that was my biggest problem. otherwise pretty nice hotel.

My brother and I stayed there 2 nights. Many nightclubs,restaurants,shops,and the Bell Centre(GO HABS GO) are within easy walking distance, and there is a safe parking lot right across the street. I would definitely stay there again. The rooms are somewhat small, but immaculate and comfortable and well worth the price.

This hotel was a very frustrating experience for us. It was supposed to be a family birthday celebration and ended up being a very stressful evening. Our reservations were confirmed for a room with 2 queen sized beds...it took us over 20 minutes to get to our room due to the extremely small size of ONE elevator to get to the 2nd floor and THERE WERE NO STAIRS available to walk up to the 2nd floor and there was a large group before us checking in! Once in our room, we found a king sized bed~! Another 15 minutes down to the front desk to change rooms and another 10 minute wait for the ONE SMALL ELEVATOR up to the 2nd floor. Walked into our room to find 2 DOUBLE BEDS....we gave up at this point! Our parents went to so much trouble to send us gifts from the States to be placed in our room upon arrival. When they found out that nothing had arrived for the birthday girl, they called the front desk and were treated very rudely. It took them 1/2 an hour to find the gifts that were eventually delivered. We will not be staying at this hotel again nor will we recommend it.

We found this hotel to be over stated. Parking is available through an outdoor public parking where your vehicle is double parked and the keys are left with an attendant. The hallways were dimly lit. The room and bathroom were extremely small, the carpet was dirty and the room smelled of smoke. We opted not to stay.

Good central location to downtown. Neat and clean. Room is extremely small.

Au premier abord, la devanture et l'entrée de l'hôtel m'ont paru très luxueuses.. Mais la chambre m'a carrément déçu! Une toute petite chambre pour 4, juste des draps, pas de couette, une porte qui grince et qui réveille tout le monde, et le pire devait être la chaleur qu'il faisait dans la chambre. Nous étions obligés de dormir avec la climatisation qui faisait un bruit énorme! Et si nous souhaitions du silence, il ne fallait pas compter sur cette soufflerie permanente qui ronronnait sans arrêt dans nos oreilles quand nous éteignions la climatisation. Nous avions vue sur rien du tout, à côté des ascenseurs et nous ne pouvions pas ouvrir nos fenêtres..

Didn't get help when we needed it. The room was very small. You could hardly se the floor. Noisy air conditioner. The bright side was the location. Right in the midle of down town. But try to find another hotel if you can.
