Super sauber, sehr freundlich, schönes Ambiente, sehr schönes Zimmer

Zimmer nach vorne sind etwas laut, da Biergärten vor der Türe sind.

Wer nicht im Souterrain sein kann sollte nicht buchen

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis (Tarif Summer in the City). DZ sind mit kleiner Küche ausgestattet, d.h. kleiner Kühlschrank + Kochfeld. Personal äußerst hilfsbereit und nett. Angenehme Zusatzleistungen, wie z.B. kostenlose Getränke zur Begrüßung im Kühlschrank, Kaffe in der Lobby (auch ohne Buchung des Frühstücks). Olympiapark in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, daher optimal für Veranstaltungen aller Art. Ruhige Lage, nur 5 km vom Stadtzentrum.

Sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung, freundliches Personal und schöne Zimmer. Hotel liegt direkt am Olympiapark.

Zimmer waren sehr sauber und komfortabel eingerichtet. Das Personal war hilfsbereit und freundlich. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet.

Business-like hotel with sauna, services, and professional staff. Near the end of subway line (station: Gern then 5-minute stroll) but you can walk to the Olympic Park (.5 km) from there and a palace is also nearby. Supermarket is 15 seconds from front door. Rooms have hot water pot, fridge, and stove top. However, I was told my room did not come stocked with any pots or utensils (implied due to cheaper room rate). Hotel did supply two free bottles of beer (Premium Pils) and two waters EACH night. Given the expensive price of some rooms there, and in Munich proper, hotel was good value.

very good place I had at all 3 interactions with the flexible, effective hotel staff some real nice chat with classic munich humor, I enjoyed it a lot. (I lived many years ago for less many years in Munich). Monaco Franze könnts nich besser. Everything clean (incl. Fitness room), functional, etc. Breakfast with 14 € I find a little expensive, but you can do it by your own in the room. Supermarket/bakery, good and frequented restaurant directly in front of the hotel. A really perfect place for no-nonsense/budget-conscious business travellers. Only caveat:; W-LAN rates are insane, but who needs that in times of a 20€/m 10 GB UMTS flatrate (Tschibo) for wireless internet accesss everywhere in the whole republic.

Hotel is located in a quiet residential area about five minutes from the u-bahn. From there it is a few minutes ride to the center of Munich. If you are driving there is free parking in the street. There is a market just across the walkway and a great Italian restaurant below the hotel called Amadeo's. The staff was friendly and helpful. I did not eat the breakfast so I cannot comment. The room was comfortable. The shower was small but not too cramped. There was a fridge in the room with complimentary beer and water. My husband and I stayed there for two nights and will likely stay there again should we return.

During our trip to Munich we were to fly to Italy as well. We missed our flight to Italy and needed to find another place to stay ASAP. Through Hotels.com we found this hotel at a reasonable rate and chose it. Honestly after arriving I tried to extend our stay here but they were fully booked through Easter weekend. This hotel is spacious, the staff is wonderful, there is a small grocery store right outside of the hotel and the surrounding area of Gern in quaint and quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Karl Theodor. It is very close to the U-Bahn station and the hotel price is reasonable. We had breakfast (which is included in the price) every morning and it is one of the better spreads at a hotel we've ever been to. We will be back to stay here again in the near future!

good hotel with good facilities, not much locally in the way of things to do but only a short trip to the city centre. nice quiet neighbourhood. staff fantastic

The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Even though our room rate was for a hotel facing the front, the staff graciously moved us to the back, overlooking the garden, at no extra charge. The rooms were immaculate and well-appointed. Complimentary bottles of water and beer in the fridge were a nice touch. Breakfast, which was included in our rate, was simply fantastic. A particularly nice touch was champagne on the weekends! The staff were very knowledgeable and attentive, fully stocked with city maps and information about public transportation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Small pentry for cooking, but not a single plate, not even knife, fork and spoon. Very expensive to use the Internet, 4 € an hour. Complimentary beer and mineral water in the fridge at arrival, and I got new ones each day - Great service. Calm and quiet surroundings, close to tram and subway.
